Barrika is a traditional Spanish Cider brand from the Basque Country in northern Spain. A classic Sagardoa, this cider has been made by the Astiazaran family since 1880. Nothing but apples, unfiltered, natural, and no sulfur added since before it was cool.

 Most importantly, delicious What started as a cider made for friends and family has grown in reputation and reach, with more than 100 cider awards to it's name and international distribution. Made from a blend of 7 classic Spanish Cider apple varieties; this traditional Spanish cider is fermented and aged in large chestnut casks and bottled still and natural (no additives, no sulfites, etc.). Producer Description 

The brand was named Toyo Bijin, or “Asian Beauty,” by Sumikawa Brewing Company’s founder in honor of his late wife.

This particular brew gives an aroma red apple that fades to an almost nutmeg spice. It is a very dry sake, said to be “strong enough to kill a devil.” Be prepared for this but also enjoy its decent umami retained from the Yamadanishiki rice used in its brewing.

Tio Pepe Fino Sherry is a star bright, pale golden color. It is elegant and distinctive, with fresh bread and almond aromas. The palate is full bodied, crisp and very dry, with a complex, long finish.

Perfect with canapes and tapas, Asian food, seafood and all fish based dishes. Try it with caviar, oysters, anchovies or tuna carpaccio. Winemaker Description.

James Suckling 90 Points | This is the prototypical fino sherry with all the salty and yeasty character you expect. Also dried-apple, pear and lemon-zest character. Generous, but very dry and salty on the palate with a refreshing touch of austerity. Where are the olives? Drink now, if possible from a freshly opened bottle.

Rich and dark on the nose with aromas of hedgerow fruit and morello cherries. Bringing aromatics of dried thyme, rosemary and cloves, and a garnet tone to the appearance. Dense black fruit on the palate, evolving into blueberry, strawberry, cherry and black pepper in the glass. Structured with fine-grade tannins and refreshing acidity; the finish is clean and persistent.

Intense red, violet and bright. Fresh aroma, like the plum, joined with lactic notes and a subtle touch of vanilla. In mouth is sweet inlet, medium palate, firm structure and sucrose finish.

'Gato Negro Cabernet Malbec is a soft red wine, with aromas of black fruit, like plums, with subtle notes of vanilla. Delicious mouthfeel, medium body and firm structure.

Lovely balance on this Lambrusco Reggiano with a gentle sweetness and rich dark and red fruit flavours. Chill and enjoy on its own or with a charcuterie platter.

Concerto is the world’s first single vineyard vintage Lambrusco. A sparkling dry red wine, its lively bubbles are achieved through natural fermentation. Grapes from the prestigious Tenuta La Rampata vineyard are farmed organically on Cordone Speronato (cordon trained and spur pruned) vines in clay soil with highly limited yields. The wine is best served at a temperature of 47 to 49 degrees Fahrenheit and should be consumed within two years of vintage.

Expert Reviews - Vintage 2021

The Wine Advocate 91 Points | The 2021 Don Nicanor Malbec was produced with grapes from Valle de Uco and Luján de Cuyo in similar proportion, fermented with selected yeasts and with 60% of the wine matured in oak barrels for 12 months. It has contained ripeness at 14.5% alcohol and is juicy and peachy, with black fruit (cassis, blackberry) and herbs. It is more serious, perhaps with a more reductive personality, with good concentration, tension and balance. Modern, very good value and a traditional name.

James Suckling 91 Points | Pretty nose of potpourri, lavender, cherries, purple plums and spice box. It’s full-bodied and creamy with a firm tannin frame. Nicely spiced. Better after 2024.

The wine is an intense violet color. The nose has aromas of red fruits and blackberries. There are floral notes such as violets, and spices. The oak is well-integrated and contributes soft notes of bitter chocolate. The palate is fresh and elegant, with velvety tannins and a long-lasting finish.

Winemaker Description 

A deep red, nearly purple color, with aromatics of concentrated black fruits, cigar box and notes of barrel toast. Dark fruit, spice and rich flavors continue on the palate. Quite brooding, but pure and focused. The tannins are super integrated and soft, but with terrific balance and finish that gives it unusual length in the palate.

All the fermentations were done in concrete tanks with native yeast, minimal punch downs and 2+ weeks on the skins post fermentation. 

I’m thrilled to kick off 2025 by introducing my latest project: 67 Wine Somm Series Petit Moscato 2024.Once again, I’ve drawn inspiration from the vibrant and dynamic wine culture of NYC! The label design aligns seamlessly with the rest of our 67 Wine Petit Somm Series, maintaining a consistent and stylish aesthetic. Moscato is one of the most popular wine categories in New York, and my goal was to craft a wine that pairs an elegant label with authentic, high-quality juice.

Tasting Notes:

The wine presents a pale lemon-yellow hue with bright highlights. On the nose, it is intensely aromatic, as Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains is renowned for its fragrant character. The palate is lively, offering sweet, fresh fruit flavors of orange, honeydew melon, and peach. A subtle sweetness transitions beautifully into a finish accented with delicate notes of white blossom flowers.

In my view, this Moscato pairs perfectly with spicy Szechuan cuisine, Japanese and Indian dishes, tapas-style appetizers, blue cheeses, and chicken liver pâté.

Winemaker Description

Red in color with hints of purple. Aroma of cherries and floral notes. The delicate and fresh flavors have fruity notes, medium body and silky tannins with a long finish.

After destemming of the Carignan, the skin and juice are sent to the tanks where the must ferments during 9 days at controlled temperature. The wine is sent to stainless tanks for resting. The wine is passed to new oak barrels for 2 months.

Ideal to accompany Iberian sausages and cheeses of average cure.

Delicious aromas of raspberry jam and spicy green grass lead to a luscious mouthful of dark red fruit, delicate soft tannins and a long spicy finish. Recommended with stews and spicy sauces.

Expert Review - Vintage 2022

Jeb Dunnuck 90 Points | Mostly Viognier (55%) but with other permitted white varieties, the 2022 Côtes Du Rhône Blanc has a medium-bodied, vibrant, pure style to go with lovely peach and tangerine-like aromas and flavors. Drink this outstanding, classy white over the coming 2-3 years. I never cease to be amazed at the quality of the Côtes du Rhône white from this team, especially given the quantities produced.

Yellow gold, clear and brilliant. Freshness on the nose marked by the distinctive aromas of Viognier; white flowers, apricot, acacia and white peach. On the palate it is fruity with plenty of richness and body. A well-rounded wine with elegance, strength and balance.

Vina AB is a young Amontillado which has experienced both ageing under flor and oxidative ageing. Due to the contact with oxygen it has taken on a light amber color. On the nose subtle and delicate with typical Palomino aromas of hazelnuts, and slight reminders of yeast due to its time under the flor. On the palate Vina AB shows subtle notes of oak due to the 12 years spent in cask. Pleasant with a balanced acidity. Long aftertaste with slight saltiness and bitterness on the finish.

Expert Review - Vintage 2020

Mike DeSimone of the Wine Enthusiast writes 93 Points | This deep-garnet-colored wine has aromas of cassis, cocoa powder and caramel. Blackberry, raspberry, cherry, bittersweet chocolate and licorice flavors are encased in a sheath of elegant tannins that slowly drop away into a long, smooth finish. 

Winemaker Description 

This wine has a unique production whereby alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in American oak barrels. The wine is then aged for a further 5 months in these barrels with regular batonage. 

The barrels has an extremely special toast, medium toast for a long time at a very low temperature, in order to obtain the perfect marriage with the Tempranillo variety. Attractive on the nose with aromas typical of the Tempranillo variety, rose petals, red fruit and liquorice accompanied by mineral notes and sweet spice. 

On the palate notable presence of fruit and liquorice combined perfectly with the chocolate note from the American oak giving a mocha character. Perfect with smoked and salted dishes, red meat, roasts and Iberian cured meats.

A balanced bouquet of wild red berries and floral violet notes. This Chianti has a mélange of dryness and great freshness, with soft tannins and a medium body. The lingering finish of berries on the palate is pleasant and smooth.

Straw yellow. Creamy mousse and delicate, long-lasting bead. Nose : Rich, with excellent fruit, releasing scents of yellow apple and peach, with notes of wisteria and acacia blossom.

Wonderful balance and elegance complement a pleasurably crisp spiciness. Palate : Delicious vein of acidity, displaying crisp, savoury mouthfeel. Generous, lingering flavours.

Complex and intriguing, this Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of black currant and light oak. Medium bodied on the palate, it offers flavors of black cherry, ripe plum, dark morning espresso and toasty oak tones. With balanced acidity and firm tannins, the wine finishes with lingering notes of cedar and vanilla.

Planted in the 1970s, Cold Creek is one of Washington's oldest and most acclaimed vineyards. Character builds season after season in the growth rings of the old woody vines. Ripe fruit intensity, followed by a crisp finish with a unique old-vine signature.

Saint-Hilaire Brut displays aromatic flavors of peach, pear and green apple skins with a wonderful, full, creamy mouthfeel. Think non-vintage Champagne for a fraction of the cost.

Blanquette de Limoux is probably the oldest sparkling wine in the world. We know that in 1531, the Benedictine Monks of the Abbey of Saint-Hilaire were already producing Blanquette de Limoux which certainly makes it France's Oldest Sparkling Wine preceding Champagne by more than a century. Dry, toasty, smooth and clean SAINT-HILAIRE truly captivates with an attractive yeasty aroma and luscious creamy texture. The palate is light and crisp with citrus and apple flavors and the body is just hefty enough.

Blanquette de Limoux can contain three grape varieties: Mauzac (which must constitute a minimum of 90% of the wine), Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc. It has distinctive aromas of fresh cut grass and flavors of crisp apples.
