It's made in small batches in an old fashioned pot still by Tito Beveridge (actual name), a 45-year-old Geologist, and distilled six times. No other gin taste like Hendrick's because no other gin is made like Hendrick's. They infuse the gin with the remarkable Bulgarian Rosa Damascena and specially selected cucumbers from the finest producers. The Bennett seeps the botanicals in spirit overnight prior to distillation resulting in a rich, complex liquid. Whereas the Carter-Head gently steams the botanicals in a basket atop its lofty neck, so influence is imparted upon the spirit in something akin to a botanical steam bath. This yields a lighter, more delicate spirit. The harmonious combination of the Bennett and Carter-Head stills create an unusually smooth gin like no other that has the required character and balance of subtle flavors.

But it lives up to the hype. Some might expect a more concentrated rosewater-cucumber profile, but it's relatively subtle, with just a hint of cucumber mingling with juniper in the aroma, and white pepper, citrus and floral notes on the lingering finish.

Gilgal wines are premium, quality aged varietal wines from Golan Heights Winery in Israel which are fruit forward and expressive. They are produced with the same care and attention to quality as Yarden wines. Recent excavations represented by the coin on the label, tell an exciting and heroic story.

93 Points Wine Enthusiast | Within the beautiful floral bottle, this brisk gin opens with plenty of juniper, but melds floral, citrus and spice tones in equal measure. White flowers and lime peel lead to a long, warming finish accented with cayenne and pink pepper. Mix into G&Ts and other long drinks. Made with botanicals foraged from Israel's Galilee region; kosher and kosher for Passover.

Pinnacle Vodka starts with the finest wheat grain from the Brie region of France crushed up and heated to convert the starches into fermentable sugars. Next, the mixture is five times distilled producing a high-proof spirit. Distillation is the process of obtaining a high-alcohol mixture from the wash; rectification is the process of removing undesirable components such as methanol from this distillate.

This is done with a simple pot still by discarding the first and last parts of the distillate produced. This complex process ensures the highest quality and purity.The distillate is then filtered through charcoal, which is far superior than other methods used.

The spirit, after purification, is at 190 proof. It is then diluted to 80 proof by adding exceptionally clean, naturally filtered water from the soil of the Northern region of France.

91 Points Jeb Dunnuck | The NV Champagne Carte d’Or Brut is 75% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier, and the remainder Chardonnay, with 6.5 grams per liter dosage. There is 80% base wine from the 2019 vintage and the remainder reserve wine. This is their historical style, with the nose offering up aromas of ripe apricot, yellow flowers, and cherry liqueur. The palate is round and a bit more structured, with more stone fruit and kirsch. Best after 2022.

Winemaker Description

Winemaker, Eli Ben-Zaken, crafts this wine by allocating a portion of premium grape varietals - Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc - destined for the winery's flagship wine, Domaine du Castel Grand Vin. The grapes are picked early to ensure that the resulting wine has enough acidity to offer the crisp and tart nature of a rose that is expected.

Then, the grapes are pressed and the juice is left in contact with the grape skins for just enough time to achieve the wine's impressive salmon hue. This has enchanting floral and berry aromas leading into a wonderful soiree of tart citrus and red fruit flavors on the palate and capped by a pleasing mineral finish.
