Flor De Cana 130th Anniversary Rum - Flor De Cana 130th Anniversary Rum is produced in celebration of its 130th anniversary. Aged for no less than 20 years, the rum delivers notes of toasted hazelnut, dark chocolate, caramel, toasted black pepper, pineapple, baked banana with brown sugar, vanilla, mango bark and treacle. A full bodied and slightly drying rum. This rum is fair trade certified and carbon neutral.

To celebrate our legacy, we’ve created our first decanter completely painted in our distinctive cobalt blue color. Inspired by dandelion seeds being carried by the wind, its feathered motifs embody Clase Azul México's expansion across the world. Twenty-five of the brushstrokes that grace the surface of the decanter have been hand painted in platinum; one for each year of our history.

The tequila created for this edition pays homage to our signature Clase Azul Tequila Reposado. Our Master Distiller, Viridiana Tinoco, reimagined its creation to give it a special touch.

Part of the agave used to make this blend was milled using a traditional stone mill called a tahona, a practice that dates back to the origins of tequila.

In addition, the fermentation process was extended to accentuate the liquid’s citrus and fruity notes. This blend was aged for eight months in two different first-use American whiskey casks, each one imparting its own distinct and rich tasting notes.

Palate entry is mildly hot and spicy, giving off deep tastes of dried red chili pepper; at midpalate, there's a brief respite but at the finish the chili pepper heat returns, most pleasantly.

Bright straw with light green reflections. On the nose, ripe Meyer lemon, pears, stone fruit, as well as hints of freshly baked sourdough bread. Light to medium-bodied, off dry, with an almost creamy texture. The grapes for the Secret Reserve Petit Verdot are night-harvested from the finest vineyards in the Holy Land, and then aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, which contribute to its complexity and balance.

Dark purple in color, with powerful fruit, aromas of spice, as well as intense multilayered flavors, this is a wine for those seeking excellence. Aging will further enhance this outstanding wine. This wine is unfiltered.

Winemaker Description 

The grapes of our Volcanic Riesling grow in the Valley of Tears in the northern Golan Heights which is the coldest and highest viticultural area in Israel. The fermentation was at 15.0-18.0 degrees C to achieve a delicate extraction of colors, aromas and flavors.

The wine has a golden straw with hint of green hue, with scents of Jasmin, pear and lime. Through the palate light medium bodied wine, that have flavors of green apples and lime. With nice and well balanced acidity, as well as a crisp and mineral texture.

The Alfasi family founded Odem Mountain Winery, Israel’s northernmost winery. Beit El Or Yakar Cabernet Sauvignon is made from estate-grown grapes in Israel’s central mountain range. Aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels, this wine has a deep purple-black color and concentrated flavors.

Expect tastes of plum and warm blackberries, complemented by pleasant tannins and a long finish. This complex yet approachable Cabernet Sauvignon is both enjoyable now and suitable for aging.

The grapes for this elegant, fruity grape wine were carefully selected in some of New York State's finest vineyards. This is a rich, sweet wine.

Winemaker Description 

This is the Grand Vin Blanc, mainly made from Roussanne with Clairette and Marsanne. The Roussane was oak aged in French oak barrels. The wine is named after Albert, Jacques Capsouto’s younger brother. The wine is straw colored with a lemony, apricot character and a hint of a floral aroma. It is medium bodied and with good complexity, and a long broad flavored finish.

Lightly touched by wood aging, this ripe wine is both crisp and rich. Its briskness brings in a mineral edge while the ripeness produces the rich apple and apricot fruits. 

The palate is very well balanced, skillfully blending vivacity and roundness. Meyer lemon, golden apple, peach, toasted oak and fresh cream. Medium in body, with medium-plus intensity and nice viscosity on the palate.

From the Cremant d'Alsace in France. Notes of citrus and crisp apple play on the nose. The palate is brisk with citrus and tart greengage fruit.

Aged in our cellars for many months, our crémant is recognized for its great finesse. it goes well with festive moments, aperitifs, and desserts but also with veal roasts, a pan of mushrooms, poultry dishes in sauce... Serve chilled.

Robert Parker 95 Points | Brilliant aromas of black cherries and cassis jump from the glass, as the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Peak Edcora Vineyard bursts with fruit. All Cabernet Sauvignon, from a site that neighbors Stagecoach Vineyard, this is a medium to full-bodied, densely concentrated example of mountain fruit, yet it's one that is not harsh or tough, with well-ripened tannins and a plush, lingering finish. Bravo. 

Jeb Dunnuck 94+ Points | All varietal, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Peak Edcora Vineyard is another deep purple-hued wine in the lineup with tons to love. Pure cassis, graphite, leafy herbs, and damp earth-like nuances all shine here, and it's medium to full-bodied, with beautiful mid-palate depth, ripe, integrated, yet ample tannins, and a great finish. It offers pleasure today, yet I see no reason this shouldn't evolve for 15+ years if well stored. It's another gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon in the vintage. 

The Wine Independent 97+ Points | Deep garnet-purple in color, the single-varietal 2021 Peak Edcora Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon charges out of the gate with bold notions of creme de cassis, blackberry pie, and boysenberry preserves followed by nuances of dark chocolate, camphor, and black olives. The medium to full-bodied palate is laden with black fruit and savory layers, supported by firm, ripe, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing on a lingering minty note.

This single-vineyard wine is produced solely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes harvested from Allone Habashan Vineyard, which is located in the central Golan Heights at an elevation of 600 meters (2,000 feet). The vineyard’s basalt soils have high clay content (~40%), resulting in high water-holding capacity. The wine aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.

Expert Review - Prior Vintage 2022

93 points Wine & Spirits | 2022 marks the fourteenth vintage for Covenant® Chardonnay Lavan®. The wine is made from grapes grown in a small vineyard on Sonoma Mountain. Jeff began working with this vineyard -- called Scopus -- back in 2010, when he made some Chardonnay for the vineyard's owners. He liked the wine so much, that he decided to make Scopus Vineyard the core of our Lavan® program the next year.

 

Winemaker Description

Israel. The Yarden Merlot Allone Habashan 2016 is the first release from this vineyard. The wine presents a fragrant blend of aromas featuring ripe red and black fruits, flowers, spice, tobacco, orange zest and chocolate.

This attractive single-vineyard wine is full-bodied, flavorful and complex. The wine aged for 18 months in small French oak barrels, of which 70% were new. While ready to enjoy upon release the wine will improve in the bottle over the coming years, and should stay in excellent drinking condition for a decade or more from harvest.

Rich with tropical and pear fruit, displaying an outstanding, creamy core of elegance. Winemaker Phillip Titus combines the finesse of great Burgundy, with the ripe fruit of Sonoma county. Fantastic!
