Kinishihai Yukikage Snow Shadow Tokubetsu Junmai Sake 300ml
Kinishihai Yukikage ‘Snow Shadow’ Tokubetsu Junmai — Niigata, Japan (300ml)
Kinishihai is brewed in Niigata Prefecture — one of Japan's most revered sake-producing regions, celebrated for its cold winters, pristine snowmelt water, and the distinctive ‘tanrei karakuchi’ style: clean, dry, and refined sake of exceptional elegance and food-friendliness. Yukikage — meaning ‘Snow Shadow’ — is a Tokubetsu Junmai, a special designation within the Junmai category indicating a higher level of rice polishing or a distinctive brewing technique that elevates the sake above the standard. It is crafted from a blend of two local Niigata rice varietals — Gohyaku Mangoku and Koshi Ibuki — both milled to 58% of their original size, removing the outer layers to reveal a cleaner, more refined grain. Fermented with S-3 yeast, which produces a mildly fragrant and clean profile with light earthy qualities, Yukikage is a true expression of the gutsy, grounded Niigata style: smooth, earthy, and built for the table. Uniquely versatile — it is equally compelling served chilled or gently warmed, making it one of the most food-friendly sakes in the glass.
The nose is mildly fragrant and inviting: toasted brown rice, light earthiness, and a clean, grounded character. On the palate, it is smooth and earthy with notes of toasty brown rice and a gentle nuttiness. Chilled, it is a natural companion for sushi, gyoza, and delicate seafood. Gently warmed, it blossoms — the perfect accompaniment for yakitori, grilled salmon, or roasted yellowtail. A sake of genuine versatility and quiet depth.
"A true gutsy Niigata style sake — smooth and earthy, with notes of toasty brown rice. When chilled it makes a great companion for a sushi platter or gyoza dumplings, but when gently warmed it blossoms into the perfect accompaniment for yakitori, grilled salmon or roasted yellowtail." — Kinishihai, Producer

Rodney Strong California Chardonnay 2024 750ml
Rodney Strong California Chardonnay — Sonoma County 2024
Rodney Strong has been one of Sonoma County's most trusted names for over six decades, and their California Chardonnay is the house's benchmark for accessible, well-crafted white wine done right. The 2024 vintage was barrel-fermented at 60% and aged on lees for seven months — a technique that adds creaminess, spice, and vanilla complexity — while the remaining 40% was cold-fermented in tank to preserve the wine's bright tropical and citrus character. The result is a Chardonnay that punches well above its price point, earning 90 points from Wine Enthusiast and 88 points from Wine Spectator.
The nose opens with Gala apple, Meyer lemon peel, citrus blossom, lemon curd, and fresh herb, with hints of toasty oak and baking spice. On the palate, the wine is juicy and medium-bodied with concentrated flavors of nectarine, tangerine, pear, pineapple, and lemon curd, framed by a creamy mouthfeel, fresh sleek acidity, and a long, lingering finish of fresh pear, ginger, and vanilla. It is the kind of Chardonnay that overdelivers at every pour.

Cavicchioli Lambrusco di Sorbara Vigna del Cristo 2025 750ml
Cavicchioli Vigna del Cristo Lambrusco di Sorbara — Emilia-Romagna 2025
Vigna del Cristo is the crown jewel of Cavicchioli — a 100% Lambrusco di Sorbara sourced exclusively from the original 12.5-acre family vineyard in the Cristo locality of Sorbara, the birthplace of the Cavicchioli estate. Lambrusco di Sorbara is one of Italy’s most fascinating and demanding grape varieties: naturally low-yielding, it flowers with great difficulty and the vine is often sterile, requiring alternating rows of the more vigorous Salamino variety to aid fertilization. In this rare bottling, only pure Sorbara fruit is used — no Salamino blended in, as is permitted by the DOC. Hand-harvested fruit is de-stemmed, crushed, and cold-macerated on skins for 3–5 days at 45–55°F to extract color and aromatics. Only 50% of the free-run juice — the “flower” of the press — then undergoes a secondary fermentation in autoclave at 55–60°F to achieve its delicate, persistent effervescence. The result is one of the most elegant and distinctive sparkling wines in all of Italy.
The color is a luminous light red with violet hues, crowned by a light pink evanescent froth and fine, persistent perlage. The nose is ample and intense: violets, red fruits, and a whisper of fresh florals that is the unmistakable signature of Sorbara. On the palate, it is full and dry — fruity, vibrant, and engaging, with a slightly acidulous aftertaste that makes it irresistibly refreshing and endlessly food-friendly. Total acidity: 8 g/L. Serve well-chilled.

Col De'Salici Brut Rose de Salice Spumante 750ml
Winemaker Description
Delicate pink in color this wine features bright highlights. It is crisp, lively and fresh, full of ripe cherry and berry flavors. The body is exceptionally light and satiny. It has a pleasing long, dry finish.
Memo Summary Notes
The Col De’ Salici "Rosé de’ Salici" Spumante Brut is a charming and versatile sparkling rosé from the Veneto region of Italy. Often described as a "step up from standard Prosecco," it is appreciated for its vibrant color and crisp, dry profile.
Unlike typical Prosecco (which is almost always 100% Glera), this spumante uses a unique blend of red and white grapes to achieve its structure and hue.
Because of its crispness and fruit-forward nature, it is an excellent "aperitivo" wine but also holds up well to food:
-
Brunch: Smoked salmon bagels, eggs benedict, or fruit tarts.
-
Appetizers: Prosciutto and melon, caprese salad, or fried calamari.
-
Main Courses: Spicy Thai or Indian cuisine (the bubbles and fruit help temper the heat) and grilled shrimp.

Toyo Bijin Sake Junmai Ginjo 300ml
Toyo Bijin Junmai Ginjo — Yamaguchi Prefecture, Chugoku, Japan
Toyo Bijin — “Asian Beauty” — is one of Japan’s most evocatively named sakes, and the story behind it is as memorable as the sake itself. Sumikawa Brewing Company, based in Yamaguchi Prefecture in the Chugoku region of western Japan, was founded by a brewer who named his label in honor of his late wife — a tribute that has since become one of the most recognized and beloved sake brands in the country.
This Junmai Ginjo is brewed from Yamada Nishiki rice — the gold standard of sake rice — and fermented in the Ginjo style at low temperatures. But where many Ginjo sakes lean toward delicate and floral, Toyo Bijin takes a bolder path: this is a very dry sake, famously described as “strong enough to kill a devil.” Assertive, umami-rich, and deeply satisfying.
Clear and luminous in the glass. The nose opens with red apple and a fading whisper of nutmeg spice. On the palate it is full-flavored and bone dry, with a firm structure, pronounced umami, and a long, clean finish. Serve chilled.
- Brewery: Sumikawa Brewing Company, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Chugoku, Japan
- Style: Junmai Ginjo
- Rice: Yamada Nishiki
- Size: 300ml
- Tasting Notes: Red apple, nutmeg spice, pronounced umami, bone-dry finish
- Best Paired With: Yakitori, sashimi, aged cheeses, miso soup, oysters
Named for a beloved wife. Brewed with conviction. A sake bold enough to kill a devil — and elegant enough to honor her memory.

Chateau des Antonins Bordeaux Blanc 2023 750ml
Winemaker Description
The Bordeaux Blanc from Antonins is a surprisingly crisp and zesty white wine. Reds often garner all of the attention in Bordeaux, but this is a "year-round" white that is great to have on hand to enjoy anytime.
Memo Summary Notes
Varietals - 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon
The Château des Antonins Bordeaux Blanc 2023 is a standout example of a modern, accessible Bordeaux white. Produced at an estate with roots dating back to a 13th-century monastery, this vintage strikes a beautiful balance between historic terroir and vibrant, "New World" aromatic intensity.
The estate was originally an abbey for the Monks of Saint Anthony.
Winemaker Antoine de Roquefeuil spent time honing his craft in New Zealand. You can taste that influence here; it has the "zing" and tropical edge of a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc but retains the stony, structured backbone that only Bordeaux soil provides.
Paltrinieri Solco Lambrusco dell'Emilia 750ml
Paltrinieri | Solco | Lambrusco dell'Emilia | Emilia-Romagna, Italy | 2024 | 750ml
Paltrinieri is one of the benchmark producers of serious Lambrusco — the kind that has nothing to do with the sweet, mass-market versions that defined the grape's reputation for decades. Based in Sorbara, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna, the estate farms its vines with care and bottles wines that are dry, vivid, and deeply tied to the region's food culture.
The Solco is their entry point and one of the most satisfying bottles at its price. Deep purple-ruby in the glass, it opens with sweet cream, raspberry, and spice before revealing tantalizing acidity and tart wild berry fruit. The finish is long and intense, closing with violet and lavender florals. This is Lambrusco as it should be: wickedly fresh, perfumed, and built for the table.
Serve it chilled (10–12°C) — it works as an aperitif, alongside a charcuterie spread, or as the ideal foil to the rich, fatty classics of Emilian cuisine: tortellini in brodo, mortadella, Parmigiano-Reggiano, tigelle.
91 Points — Vinous (Eric Guido): "Wickedly fresh and perfumed with tantalizing acidity and tart wild berry fruit notes. Long and intense, closes with violet and lavender inner florals."
- Appellation: Lambrusco dell'Emilia IGT, Emilia-Romagna
- Grape: Lambrusco
- Style: Dry, sparkling red
- Serve: Chilled, 10–12°C
- Pairs with: Mortadella, Parmigiano-Reggiano, tortellini, charcuterie, pizza, tomato-based pasta

Memo Summary Notes
The Paolo Scavino Dolcetto d'Alba 2024 is a quintessential Piedmontese "everyday" red. While the Scavino family is world-renowned for their complex, long-aging Barolos, their Dolcetto is designed to be consumed young, vibrant, and fresh.
Pair with this is the ultimate pizza and pasta wine. It also pairs perfectly with charcuterie, roasted pork, or mushroom risotto
