I’m thrilled to kick off 2025 by introducing my latest project: 67 Wine Somm Series Petit Moscato 2024.Once again, I’ve drawn inspiration from the vibrant and dynamic wine culture of NYC! Moscato is one of the most popular wine categories in New York, and my goal was to craft a wine that pairs an elegant label with authentic, high-quality juice.

Tasting Notes:

The wine presents a pale lemon-yellow hue with bright highlights. On the nose, it is intensely aromatic, as Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains is renowned for its fragrant character. The palate is lively, offering sweet, fresh fruit flavors of orange, honeydew melon, and peach. A subtle sweetness transitions beautifully into a finish accented with delicate notes of white blossom flowers.

In my view, this Moscato pairs perfectly with spicy Szechuan cuisine, Japanese and Indian dishes, tapas-style appetizers, blue cheeses, and chicken liver pâté.

Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise is made from Muscat à Petits Grains, one of the oldest and most aromatic grape varieties in the world. Dornfelder is an extremely popular German red grape that is based on four classic varieties: Lemberger (aka Blaufränkisch), Portugieser, Frühburgunder, and Trollinger. It produces fruity, medium-bodied wines with deep color and good acidity. This wine is made in the “Super – Tuscan” style by adding Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes to the classical grape of Tuscany, Sangiovese.

Each year we add selected wines to the blend to bring subtle complexity and richness without losing the flavor of the traditional wines of Tuscany. Grapes picked at optimum ripeness ensure a wine which expresses itself in its ripe blackfruit components and full body. A true reflection of flavours which are a marriage of our soils under the Tuscan sun. Vinous 93 Points | The 2021 Chardonnay Cordillera de los Andes comes from the Talinay vineyard in Limarí. 50% was aged in French barrels, 23% of them new. Yellow with a greenish sheen. The nose offers green apple notes with hints of pear, acacia, hazelnuts and a whiff of praline over a bed of oak. In the mouth it has a saline feel with a slightly creamy flow and pert freshness. A long-lasting wine.

Matchbook's Estate Bottled Petit Verdot draws on the long growing season in California's Dunnigan Hills. The existing winemaker description points to plum, prune, blueberry and vanilla, followed by tobacco, mocha, cream cola and rhubarb. A lingering, dusty finish gives this hearty red a place beside a substantial dinner.

Our own Rand Sieger finds lavender, clove and sweet pipe tobacco on the nose, with blueberry, cola, chocolate, anise and fig on a palate that starts with grip and finishes silky. Pour it with lamb shank, roast pork or aged cheese.

About Sandeman

In 1790, 25-year-old George Sandeman borrowed £300 from his father to establish himself as a wine merchant in London. The son of a Scottish cabinetmaker, he built a business specializing in Port and Sherry, initially trading from Tom's Coffee House on Birchin Lane.

The company grew through the upheavals of the early 19th century. By 1825 it was trading across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. In 1835, its Port shipments reached 4,580 pipes, approximately 12% of the total, establishing Sandeman as a leading Port shipper.
