Wine Advocate 94 Points | The 2021 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett is deep and flinty but bright and clear on the refined and elegant nose with beautiful crushed slate aromas. On the palate, this is a rich, round and generous, incredibly lush and supple but crystalline and even pure Sonnenuhr with a highly stimulating, mouth-watering finish. This 2021 shows the great terroir of the cru, in particular in cool vintages due to its exposition that collects the sun's rays in the morning. 

Wine Enthusiast 92 Points | This shows very little sweetness, but is harmonious and well integrated despite the firm acidity that fuels it. Stone- and orchard-fruit notes are flecked by chrysanthemum and cardamom to create the full-spectrum. The finish is long and persistent.

Neal Martin writes:  The 2020 Saint-Aubin en Montceau 1er Cru is quintessentially Saint-Aubin on the nose, offering green apples, oyster shells and just a touch of petrichor, all showing wonderful delineation. The intense palate is very well balanced with fine-grained tannins and a judicious touch of spice and orange peel toward the sustained finish. Maybe it needs a little more on the aftertaste; otherwise, this is impressive... and delicious.  Drinking 2024 - 2048.  - Vinous 92-94

The Colin 2020 whites were bottled in January 2022 under the Diam brand composite cork after having been fined but not filtered. As was the case with the 2019 vintage, I was again very impressed with the quality I found and the domaine just seems to continue to go from strength to strength.

The light-bodied palate is electric and flinty, with its deep, youthful fruit uncoiling slowly, and it has a long, shimmery finish. Clive Pursehouse writes:  A whimsically light and airy Chardonnay, a barrel selection across many of their favourite Willamette Valley sites. Aromas of white flowers, bee pollen and petrichor are accented with notes of cut green apple and peach skin. 92 Points James Suckling | A floral sauvignon blanc here that also shows restraint. Limes, white blossoms and a touch of nectarines. Bone-dry and textured on the palate with bright acidity. Good weight in the middle. Nothing showy here. Pithy and gastronomic. (2023). 

This wine shows an array of fruit characters, ranging from citrus through to tropical notes. This is complemented by some secondary characters from the natural yeast ferments and some barrel aging. This wine is produced from the Rancho Vinedo Vineyard, planted in the Santa Maria Valley in 1973 on its own roots. It is farmed organically. The grapes are picked based on natural acidity, flavors, and visual signs in the vineyard. 

Once in the cellar the grapes are pressed, juice collected and barreled down to ferment with native yeast in old french oak barrels. The wine is aged on its lees for 17 months before being racked for the first time to bottle, unfined & unfiltered.

Aged in French oak barrels for 2 months adds a light toastiness to the already complex fruit and herbaceous characters typical of the Sauvignon Blanc varietal. The wine is medium-bodied with a mouthful that is pleasantly dry, with vibrant acidity reminiscent of lemon and lime flavors on the palate. Burghound 89 Points | Cool and airy aromas are comprised by notes of petrol, white flowers and citrus zest. I like the mouthfeel of the equally tension-filled and mineral-driven middle weight flavors that exhibit evident minerality on the bone-dry, liner and youthfully austere finale.
