Deeply tropical and inherently aromatic, the wine holds all the niceties of skin maceration without losing freshness. Tension is brought about by ripeness and lift on the palate without losing the fundamental operative of being delicious. The swiss army knife of skin contact wines.

The Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer were de-stemmed and fermented on the skins for 15 days, then pressed and finished both primary and secondary fermentation in neutral French oak. The Riesling came in five weeks later with a kiss of noble rot, and it went direct to press, and was fermented in stainless steel before being moved to neutral oak for secondary fermentation. Both lots were aged sur lie and only racked once for blending/bottling. 100% native yeast and the only addition was S02. Winemaker Description. 

It is not known for certain how long Gelber Muskateller has been in the Rust vineyards. We do know that this grape variety used to be called Weirer. This name comes from Weihrauch (frankincense) because the nutmeg scent is so prevalent. Winemaker Description.

92 Points Natalie Maclean | From the Swartland wine region, Mullineux Great Heart 2021 Chenin Blanc is a dry, vibrant, flavoursome and beautifully balanced Chenin with white-fleshed stone fruit, citrus zest, creamy and leesy on the palate. The wine is named after The Great Heart Project, a staff empowerment project the results and profits of which are aimed at improving the circumstances of the winery's employees and families.

Honeysuckle and stone fruit aromas and flavors flow into a perfectly round mid-palate, followed by bright citrus reminiscent of lime and ruby grapefruit. A layered and delicious Sauvignon Blanc in the classic Honig style, easily enjoyed on its own or with lighter seasonal fare.

There is no mistaking the New World style of this wine. Intense aromas of grapefruit, citrus, kiwi and fresh-cut grass greet the nose. The flavors on the palate are white grapefruit, guava and lime zest, layered with dried fennel, sedimentary rock, and lemon cream. Great acidity gives the wine a dry mouthwatering finish. A great example of an industry leader producing wine with organic grapes and doing it with a neutral footprint. Pair with fried calamari. (2023).

Vigneti del Sole Pinot Grigio is a white wine gem from the Veneto region of northeast Italy. We have not found a better Pinot Grigio for the money than Vigneti del Sole! This wine is a pale yellow-green in color. It is a lighter-style Pinot Grigio with plenty of fruit and acidity for a well-balanced wine.

Each parcel of fruit was fermented separately at a cool temperature, settled over night, and racked clean. Approximately 8% of the must was barrel fermented in French oak. Given the cool season, specific yeasts were selected to accentuate the melon and passionfruit characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc.

89-92 points Jasper Morris |  Fresh pale lemon. The bouquet has a little more refinement than the St-Aubin, offering apple, fennel and citrus notes. Clean, lean and pure on the nose, extremely refreshing. While there is little reduction on the nose, the finish has a lively mineral limestone feeling. Drink from 2025-2028. 

88-90 points Burghound | Bright and fresh aromas of resin, petrol and lemon zest introduce slightly bigger and richer though less mineral-driven flavors that are at once generous but reasonably precise on the lingering and agreeably dry finale. This relatively forward effort could use better depth so I would suggest holding it for a few years first. 

88-90 points Wine Advocate | The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Cuvée Margot reveals aromas of peach, freshly baked bread, oatmeal and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample palate with a fleshy core of fruit, lively acids and a slightly lactic finish. 

Cloudy amber colour typical of a Naturalwine, open bouquet of rose petals, oriental spices, ripe citrus fruits and quince, expressive notes of spices on the palate, great freshness, salty finish. Winemaker Description. 

The Clivi Malvasia is 100% Malvasia Istriana from 80 year old vines on soils of marl and sandstone flysch of Eocene origin. The vineyard is in Brazzano di Cormons, Province of Gorizia, along the Slovenian Border with Friuli. This complex and racy white is lightly aromatic, marked by very gentle camomille aromas. Acidic yet delicate, a perfect example of balance.

Estate History: I Clivi founder Ferdinando Zanusso was raised in the world of wine, his father made wine for his tavern in Treviso, in Friuli-Venezia-Giulia. After travelling and spending time in Paris, Ferdinando purchased a vineyard in Friuli in 1996 and soon after his son Mario, now at the helm of the estate, joined him. Vineyards are all worked by hand, dry farmed and certified organic, with vines from 50 to 80 years old.

Covenant's latest vintage of Sauvignon Blanc comes from a region in Northern California where Sauvignon Blanc is considered the king of white wines. This single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc comes from a small parcel north of Napa in Lake County.

The wine is classic Lake County —redolent of grapefruit, passion fruit and herbs. It’s crisp, clean and refreshing on the palate and will pair beautifully with lighter-styled dishes ranging from seafood to poultry.

89 Points Vinous | The 2022 Chardonnay Felino from the Uco Valley is yellow with subtle golden flecks. The nose offers inviting stewed green apple and hazelnut aromas complemented by delicate oaky notes. Creamy and moderately warm with plenty of alcohol, it has a broad, plush texture leading into a lingering fruity finish.

Pale yellow in color. On the nose it presents aromas of pear, green apple and grapefruit. It's very well balanced with good palate and crisp acidity. Winemaker Description.

96 Points Wine Advocate: The 2019 Marienburg GG Fahrlay is perfectly ripe and concentrated on the densely aromatic nose that intertwines ripe, intense and flinty fruit with fascinating notes of crushed stones and herbs, yet everything is already marvelously interwoven and balanced as well as pure, precise and crystalline, with lemon zest notes. Full-bodied, intense and crystalline on the palate, this is a rich, concentrated, perfectly ripe and aromatic Fahrlay with a long, intense, elegant, crystalline and persistently salty finish. This would be rich and bolder if there were no old vines in blue slate. This is an impressive wine that was bottled just a few days before I tasted it in September 2020. (10/2020)

Jancis Robinson 17.5 Pts: Beautifully scented with citrus, crushed stones and a delicate floral note that reminds me of spring and that is also somehow a little bit spicy. This is theoretically trocken but there is clearly some residual sugar to balance the acidity and it is quite noticeable, giving a roundness in the mouth and ripeness of yellow plums. Firm, fresh and long, with depth that comes from the texture as much as the full fruit -

94 Points Decanter | Really starting to get into its stride under the new direction of Jacques Lurton. I have always enjoyed this wine and long found it to be the one of all the Andre Lurton wines to live up to the potential of the terroir. This is full of flesh, lemongrass, lime, slate minerality, the most beautifully judged rich white peaches and powerful dried herbs. Rice and powerful, good stuff. (2020).

94 Points Jeb Dunnuck | Bright pink grapefruit, honeyed citrus, and a touch of chalky minerality all emerge from the 2020 Château Couhins-Lurton Blanc, another vibrant, clean, medium-bodied 2020 white that brings both richness and freshness. I like it today but see no reason why it shouldn't evolve for over a decade.

92 Points Wine Advocate | The 2020 Couhins-Lurton Blanc has turned out very well, offering up aromas of pink grapefruit, white flowers, Sauvignon botanicals, pastry cream and wet stones. Medium to full-bodied, chiseled and incise, with a satiny attack that segues into a bright, electric palate, it's more vibrant and electric than the ampler, fleshier 2019. It was bottled under Diam 30.
