Winemaker Description

Xynisteri is the main white-wine variety of Cyprus. Covering a large portion of the island nation's vineyard, the variety is used to make both light, refreshing white wine. 

La Fête Wine Company Founder & CEO Donae Burston was first introduced to the wonders of Cotes de Provence rose while celebrating his 30th birthday at the world famous Nikki Beach Club in Saint Tropez. Burston and his friends were surrounded by people from mourned the world drinking what he thought was white Zinfandel, but was in fact rose from the surrounding Provence region. From that very first taste, the seeds for La Fête du Rosé were planted.

Farming Methods: Organic

Produced in the heart of St. Tropez, this delicate wine has a beautiful, bright golden color with silvery reflections. Expressive nose of ripe yellow fruits and hints of apple. The palate is full bodied, developing into a tangy finish and revealing notes of pear and fresh pineapple. 

Fresh green apple and pear flavors headline this coastal white. Clean, linear acidity is featured along with refreshing notes of citrus and salinity.

Blend: 71% Hondarrabi Zuri, 19% Mune Mahatsa, 10% Txori Mahatsa

Golden color with emerald rims. First aromas deliver toasted and mineral notes of flint and nectarine followed by a bouquet of roasted dry hazelnut. The palate is fruity and soft, with green coffee flavors and Anjou Pear notes. Elegant and with a fresh finish, like a sour candy or a spicy apple purée.

Domaine Jean-Paul Balland Sancerre 2023 presents a brilliant pale straw color with green highlights. On the nose, it exudes vibrant aromas of citrus fruits, green apple, and white flowers, interwoven with subtle mineral notes. The palate is lively and refreshing, featuring flavors of lemon zest, grapefruit, and ripe pear, complemented by a crisp acidity and a lingering, mineral-driven finish.

Always refreshing, the Elvio Cogno 2022 Langhe Nascetta del Comune di Novello Anas-Cëtta offers an exciting change of pace with honeysuckle, white peach, apple and quince. There are salty hints of crushed mineral too. The wine shows medium body and enough textural density to pair with baked fish or white meat.

92+ Points Jeb Dunnuck | Bottled two days ago. the 2022 Nascetta Del Comune Di Novello Anas-Cetta is exuberant with aromas of broth and tropical, herbal, and saline notes. Medium-bodied, with a lovely waxy viscosity, it reveals elements of saline and fresh pineapple, without feeling bloated or heavy. It has an Alpine sensibility, with a light bitter almond note on the finish as well as lime blossom and citrus. This fresh white would work over a broad spectrum of food pairings and could be a sommelier’s secret weapon.

The 2022 Anas-Cëtta Nascetta di Novello expresses a remarkable complexity even in its most youthful phase: notes of fresh fruit and lovely aromas of grapefruit, cedar, and ginger are tied to intense aromas of white flowers, Mediterranean herbs and delicate mineral hints. Despite the warm and dry vintage, the palate shows unexpected crispness, which results in a sharp and dynamic wine, destined to evolve masterfully with the passing of time in the bottle. The Côtes du Vivarais is an AOC situated on the western side of the Rhône in Ardèche.  This region is renowned for producing wines with high mineral content due to the limestone and clay-rich soils.  Alain Gallety, a pioneering winemaker, founded this domaine with the goal of finding the perfect soil for his wines. He is now a respected figure in the expansive Côtes du Vivarais. The entire range of wines, from the entry-level to the single vineyard cuvées, is exceptional.  Alain Gallety embarked on his viticultural journey with his father in 1974 in an area that was later designated as the Côtes du Vivarais appellation in 1999. Today, Alain and his son David-Alexandre manage the 15-hectare organic domaine.

Distinctly Marlborough, Wither Hills Wairau Valley Sauvignon Blanc is refined and elegant. Mouth-watering, textural acidity and a juicy core of citrus fruit exudes notes of crunchy greens and tropical guava on the nose. Pairs well with plump, raw oysters, pan seared snapper and Asian style seafood dishes, green salad with goats cheese or feta.

Bart Hopkins 67Wine.com | A delicious Sauvignon Blanc with an unmistakeable Loire Valley personality. On the nose, beautiful aromas of pink grapefruit, white peaches, ginger snap and peach blossoms. Delicate in the mouth yet harmonious and invigorating  with lovely complexity, freshness and perfectly complimented acidity on the lively finish.

Color is Yellow Gold. Great aromatic intensity of quince and vanilla. Rich, well structured, with quince and stewed fruit flavours. Complexity linked to a good concentration. Very nice length in the mouth.

Bodega Colome Torrontés offers the floral notes of roses, the citrus aroma of grapefruit and a spicy hint. In the mouth it is fresh, round and well-bodied with a long, elegant finish.

This is a richer style of Pinot Blanc, yet still fresh and elegant. Mouthwatering acidity enlivens flavors of citrus, apricot and lemon zest, leading to a stony and floral finish.

Straw yellow in color with a green shimmer. The nose has clean and fruity notes of apple, apricot, and pear. Fresh and fruity, Schulthauser Pinot Bianco seduces the palate with its creamy softness, liveliness, and marked acidity.

James Suckling 91 Points | A pretty flavorful pinot bianco here that shows a mineral twist to the dried herbs and white fruit. A tad phenolic on the palate with good intensity and fresh acidity.

Producer Description 

Refreshing persistence, resinous herbal notes on the nose and lovely fresh pear fruit, lime zest, grapefruit pith, and pineapple on the palate. 

The grapes for this basic cuvée of Sancerre are sourced from the vineyards in Bué, Vinon and Crézancy. After harvest, fermentation is done in stainless steel cuves at temperatures between 14 and 18 degrees Celsius. 

As with all the whites at the domaine, this wine sits in contact with the fine lies for a considerable period of time with the racking being done late in the spring following harvest. The first bottling occurs no earlier than July and frequently does not occur until September of the year following harvest.

Winemaker Description

Casa da Passarella is one of the oldest and most important producers in the region. It is located in the Serra da Estrela sub region of the Dao. If that sounds familiar, you are right, one of the most famous cheeses from Portugal comes from the same region and carries the Serra da Estrela DOP. The Dao is a special region, it is surrounded by mountains that not only protect it from the vagaries of the Atlantic but the harshness of the Continental climate that defines the Douro, the Masseta of Spain and Southern Portugal. The protected climate and granitic soils help shape the character of these wines. 

This Branco is a blend of Encruzado, Malvasia Fina and Gouveio. After a short pre fermentation maceration the wine is fermented in stainless steel vats and a short period of aging with regular battonage. Burgundy is the region that most people would use as a comparison for the style of wines from this region, and in this case I think it is apt. The core of acidity and structure from the Encruzado maps fairly well to white Burgundy, the battonage helps too. The flavor profile is different, as it should be, with Gouveio and Malvasia the wine has more aromatic lift, and a fun mix of orchard and stone fruits as well as hint of mountain herbs. This fabulous Bourgogne is a dead ringer for a top quality Meursault, and for good reason. Matrot’s vineyards lie mostly in Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault-Blagny, and the winemaking for the Bourgogne is made with the same special care as the top wines. Matrot Bourgogne Blanc is 100% Chardonnay from vines with an average age of 20 years. Pressed as whole bunches in a pneumatic press. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in oak barrels (20% new) for eight to 10 weeks at temperatures of 18-20°C. Undergoes complete MLF and is matured on lees (no stirring) for 12 months. Spends one month in stainless steel to prepare the wine for bottling.
