Producer Description

Tequila Ocho is the world’s first single-estate tequila — each release is tied to a specific field (or “cañada”) and harvest year, much like a Grand Cru Burgundy. The 2025 La Mesa expression is crafted from 100% blue agave harvested overripe from the La Mesa estate in the Highlands of Jalisco, then distilled at the historic La Alteña Distillery. Rested for eight weeks and eight days in ex-American whiskey barrels — just over the legal minimum — to develop roundness while preserving the intense, cooked agave character that defines Ocho.

At PM Spirits, we're always on the lookout not just for superlative spirits, but also for like-minded people. When we met Jose Luis Gutierrez, we knew right away he was someone special.
