About Clos des Fous

Clos des Fous ("Enclosure of the Madmen") was founded in 2008 by four friends — including world-renowned terroir expert Pedro Parra — who were tired of hearing that Chilean wine was boring and industrial. Founder Jim Bernau began experimenting with whole cluster fermentation by gently placing hand-picked clusters into a CO2-filled stainless fermenter.
