Buena Vista is California’s oldest premium winery — and one of its most colorful. Pauline Passot’s story is one of the most compelling in Beaujolais. A trained sommelier who worked at the Michelin-starred Pierre Orsi in Lyon, she returned to her family’s roots in Chiroubles in 2016 with a clear mission: to show the world what this underrated Cru could do. Chappellet Winery has farmed Pritchard Hill on the eastern slopes of Napa Valley since 1967, producing some of California’s most celebrated mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon.
