Purple Hands Lone Oak Ranch Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2022 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2022
James Suckling 93 Points | Bright and vivid pinot with notes of cherries, raspberries, dried hibiscus and potpourri. Medium-bodied, juicy and fresh, with fine tannins and delicious red fruit character. Chalk and minerals in the finish.
Wine Spectator 92 Points | Broad-shouldered in structure, with lilting raspberry and cherry flavors that take on black tea and dusky spice notes as this builds tension toward medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2032.
Wine Enthusiast 91 Points | A bright red cherry fruit note is nice but mix in the scent of bone marrow spread on toast points and you have yourself an aromatic party. Nice acidity helps to create a lively mouthfeel to accompany perky orange zest and pie cherry flavors. There is even a touch of bacon hovering on the perimeter. Hungry yet?

Bonterra Vineyards Pinot Noir Organic Mendocino 2022 750ml
Expert Review - Vintage 2022
Wine Enthusiast 90 Points | This well-balanced and appetizing Pinot Noir offers notes of cranberry, raspberry and wild strawberry, with complementary touches of cola, roses, fresh tomato leaf, charred wood and a hint of chocolate. Fine-grained tannins offer a silky mouthfeel. Refreshing acidity leads toward a lingering finish that intertwines aromas and flavors elegantly.
Winemaker Description
At Bonterra, we grow wine organically and sustainably, treating the land with deep respect. We plant native flowers around our grapes to attract beneficial bugs, and welcome songbirds and chickens into our vineyards to eat up pests. We even employ sheep to mow between the vines. In our vineyards, every living thing is connected and we all work together to create pure, flavorful wine.
Careful sourcing from celebrated Mendocino County vineyards with various microclimates and soil types results in a complex, bright, fruit forward Pinot Noir. After hand harvesting, the fruit was gently de-stemmed and moved to small open-top fermenters for a three-day cold soak. It was then inoculated with select yeast strains for fermentation. The cap was punched down daily to reach the desired color and level of phenols.
After a gentle pressing in a basket press, the wine was settled and transferred to 100% French oak barrels where it underwent malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged in French oak for ten months and then fined with organic egg whites prior to bottling. This Pinot Noir has aromas of strawberry and raspberry, accented with hints of oak spice and vanilla. In the mouth, this wine is rich with nice soft tannins and flavors of berries, vanilla and spice that fade into a lovely long finish.

Bodega Chacra Pinot Noir Barda Patagonia Organic Biodynamic 2023 750ml
The Barda Pinot is a sensational value high-end Pinot Noir for lovers of pretty, fine-boned styles rather than the rich, mulchy examples.
Cranberry, pomegranate and other red fruits dominate the buoyant nose. It is pine needle fresh, alpine in feel, with a flowing and gentle fruit-sweet core, and shows a savoury, dusty edge to the finish.
The fruit for the Barda Pinot is sourced from Bodega Chacra's younger vineyard, planted in 1990 from cuttings from their ungrafted original vineyards from 1932 and 1955. It is a wine of heritage, and pure class.
Critic Notes
James Suckling writes: A vivid and crunchy pinot with lots of sea salt, strawberries and hibiscus with hints of violets and sandalwood. Notes of fresh flower stem. it’s medium-bodied with pretty fruit and a long, bright finish with plenty of energy. Drink now. - James Suckling 94
About Bodega Chacra
Bodega Chacra is located in the Rio Negro Valley of northern Patagonia, in the dead centre of Argentina.
Founded in 2003 by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta - the grandson of Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, creator of Sassacaia, one of the monuments of Italian wine. After trying a Patagonian Pinot at a tasting in NYC, Piero began searching for site in the Rio Negro region, a search that bore fruit in the Mainque area. He took over a site with ungrafted vines dating back to 1932, and the development of a world class winery too shape, with a focus on organic and biodynamic viticulture.
He brought legendary Meursault producer Jean-Marc Roulot on board to aid in the planting and vinification of Chardonnay - not a bad advisor! Piero's dedication to producing outstanding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay was rewarded when Chacra Treinta y Dos Pinot 2018 was named Best Wine in the World by James Suckling.

Ponzi Vineyards Pinot Noir Tavola Dundee Hills 2022 750ml
Expert Reviews
Tamlyn Currin writes: I read somewhere recently that 'juicy' is the most-used word in wine tasting notes, so I'm just going to add to that statistic. Juicy, juicy, juicy. The tannins are juicy. The acidity is juicy. But the great thing is that for all that juiciness, this is not a speciously fruity wine. Cherries and redcurrants, sure. But smudged with menthol and nutmeg and red-road dust and bracken. Red-fruit slip on a kick-the-autumn-leaves hanger. Way, way, way too dangerously gluggable. Just don't take 'juicy' as a code word for simple. Drinking 2024 to 2028. - Jancis Robinson 16.5
James Suckling writes: A bright and juicy pinot with cherries, cranberries, citrus fruit, hibiscus and spices. Medium-bodied, fresh and crunchy on the palate with delicious fruit and a zesty undertone at the end. Chalk and minerals in the finish. Drink now. - James Suckling 92
Eric Guido writes: The 2022 Pinot Noir Tavola lifts from the glass with a sweet and sour blend of tart cherries, raspberries, spiced orange and rosemary. It is juicy and light on its feet and swirls across the palate with ripe wildberry fruits and chalky mineral tones. The 2022 is soft and giving while finishing with medium length and a tart cranberry crunch. - Vinous
91 Points Wine Spectator: Plush and generous, with succulent cherry and raspberry flavors highlighted by orange peel and cinnamon notes. Finishes with snappy tannins. Drink now through 2031. 14,698 cases made.
91 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2022 Pinot Noir Tavola is scented of blackberry jam and blood orange, plus nuances of pipe tobacco and rooibos tea. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with layers of ripe fruit, spice and earth. It’s structured by silky tannins and bright acidity and has a long, refreshing finish.
Winemaker Notes
Spiced blueberries, plum, and cranberry leap from the glass, followed by denser notes of dry forest floor, sagebrush, and leather. The mouth holds fresh acidity with flavors of ponderosa pine, citrus, and raspberry. This brightness is in lively tension with darker flavors of Amarena cherry and rich earth.

Bergstrom CUMBERLAND Reserve Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2022 750ml
Winemaker Description
Bright red in color, this wine represents the vintage well. Aromatically driven by cherry, strawberry, and Herbes de Provence with light green spice. On the palate, this wine is fruit-forward and balanced with acidity and structure. Cardamom and nutmeg spice on the finish. This wine, though youthful, shows great structure; a wet spring and warm harvest created delicate flavors and a powerful lasting finish.

RouteStock Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2022 750ml
This earthier Pinot Noir is a deep garnet color, with flickering hints of a darker edge glint as the glass swirls. The nose is a woodsy affair, with aromas of cedar, black tea and tart black cherry emerging. Savory, lithe and balanced, the palate has a woodsy tannic grip at the finish.

Expert Review - Vintage 2022
Eric Guido writes: Delicate and understated, the 2022 Pinot Noir Grande Cuvée opens with a peppery citrus tinge and dusty dried strawberries. It's round and softly textured with pure red berry fruits riding a wave of brisk acidity. An herbal tinge comes forward over time as gently grippy tannins tug at the cheeks and hints of licorice fade. Drinking 2025 to 2030. - Vinous 91
Audrey Frick writes: Medium ruby red-hued, the 2022 Pinot Noir Grande Cuvee is expressive and elegant on the nose, with notes of red cherries, candied cranberries, roses, fresh spice and herbs, and lifted piney herbs. Expert Reviews - Vintage 2022
Audrey Frick writes: Another potential wine for a Top 100 list, the 2022 Pinot Noir Select is a jeweled red/ruby color and offers a fantastic bouquet of spicy fresh herbs, pomegranate, peppery spice, and wildflowers. Medium-bodied, it’s energetic and lifted on the palate, with a mouthwatering feel and fine, well-defined tannins. I love its texture, which has a crisp feel with notes of orange peel through the finish. It’s a more angular wine for this vintage, and I love it. The estate has backed off punch downs and is working with more delicate pumpovers instead, and it shows. It’s very pretty and transparent in its feel. Drink 2025-2040. - Jeb Dunnuck 95

Felton Road Pinot Noir Bannockburn Central Otago NZ Biodynamic 2021 750ml
Winemaker Description
A classic Felton Road nose of dark blossoms: rose and violet with a compote of dark fruits. The mid-palate is just screaming Felton Road. Black cherries and cream on the nose introduced cherry crumble on the palate with baked spices. Very harmonious for a wine so young, but a brooding undertow reveals the intrinsic power of the wine. Four Bannockburn vineyards seamlessly integrating to provide many layers and textures.
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2021
James Suckling 93 Points | Very attractive hibiscus with sliced strawberries and orange peel aromas that follow through to a medium body with very fine tannins and a fresh and clean wine. Tangy and succulent fruit. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold. Screw cap. (2021).
Jancis Robinson 16.5/20 Points | Earthy and interesting on the nose. Already open and sweet but with good structure. Great for current drinking, with real interest and freshness. At the moment I prefer this to Block 3. (2021).
Vinous 91 Points | The 2021 Pinot Noir Bannockburn offers fine tension and sinew. I rather like it for being understated and having a corset of acidity and tannic tension around it. Sour red cherry, damson, wild herbs, a twist of nutmeg and it's all rather pleasing. Long, scented and excellent value with praiseworthy tannin quality. (2021).
Decanter 92 Points | A hint of smokiness and toast appears first, still with the echo of slight reduction. The fine web of tannins on the palate holds oak as well as surprisingly dark fruit. Very juicy, fruity and bold, this is Felton Road's estate Pinot Noir, with just 25% new oak. Drinking 2022 - 2032 (2021).

Wine Enthusiast 94 Points | This is the flagship wine in a strong 2022 vintage for Soléna Estate. First, the wine’s aromatic combination of boysenberries, black tea and bits of roast beef induces hunger pangs. The wine’s flavors then sate that hunger with ripe raspberry and tangy nectarine flavors, joined by a wisp of cedar. Bracing acidity makes the wine feel light and lively in the mouth.

Brick House Pinot Noir Les Dijonnaise Organic Biodynamic 2022 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2022
Jeb Dunnuck 96 Points | The 2022 Pinot Noir Les Dijonnais comes from the oldest vines on the property, planted in 1995 with all Dijon clones. Bottled in late January of this year, the wine sports a vibrant ruby hue and shows off notes of wild raspberries, mixed berries, a hint of fresh violets, clove spice, forest herbs, and brambly earth. It’s chiseled in its structure, with coiled tannins and a good deal of youthful tension, and also offers mineral persistence, with wonderful salinity and dark undertones of earth. It demands another few years in cool cellars to soften and expand as it evolves and will drink well over the long haul. Drink 2026-2040. 590 cases were produced.
Winemaker Description
Planted in 1995, the Dijon block is now in its prime, delivering the complexity and elegance one expects from carefully tended twenty-six-year-old vines. The 2021 “DJ,” as it is known in-house, shows characteristic black raspberry and rose hip notes. Consistent with previous vintages, it displays Asian five spice, briar and even hints of blood orange coupled with a refreshing acidity and persistent finish. It is a superior vintage, one of the best of the decade. While the 2021 Les Dijonnais Pinot Noir is delicious right now, it will reward patience after a few years in a cool cellar.
