Roberto Henriquez Pais Verde Secano Interior Bio Bio Valley Chile 2025 750ml
A vibrant, characterful red from one of Chile’s most exciting natural-minded producers, Roberto Henriquez País Verde 2025 is made from 100% País grown in the Secano Interior of the Bío Bío Valley in southern Chile. Fresh, lifted, and full of energy, this is a beautifully expressive wine that highlights the purity of old-vine País with bright fruit, floral aromatics, and a lively, juicy finish. Open-source retailer notes describe the wine as 100% País, made with carbonic maceration, with floral notes, tart red fruit, and juicy flavors, and RAW WINE lists Roberto Henríquez in Bio Bio Valley, Itata, Chile.
On the palate, expect a light- to medium-bodied red with notes of wild red berries, tart cherry, rose petals, and fresh herbs, supported by gentle spice and a refreshing, chillable profile. Roberto Henriquez Rivera del Notro Blanco (WHITE) 2024 Itata Chile 750ml
Roberto Henríquez · 'Rivera del Notro' Blanco · Itata Valley · 2024
Roberto Henríquez is one of Chile's most important natural wine voices — a tireless champion of the Itata Valley, a region in the Bio-Bío that was making wine centuries before Maipo or Colchagua ever appeared on a label. His vineyards are planted with the old-vine field blends that Spanish missionaries brought to Chile in the 16th century: Sémillon, Chasselas, and Moscatel de Alejandría, grown on granite soils by small-scale farmers who have tended these vines for generations. The 'Rivera del Notro' Blanco — named for the notro tree that blooms red along the riverbanks of Itata — is his signature white: a modern-day interpretation of ancestral Chilean winemaking, vinified with extended skin contact that unlocks a depth and complexity no stainless-steel Chardonnay can touch. WA:92. At $20.99, it's one of the most exciting natural whites in South America.
The 2024 opens with a heady, complex bouquet of potpourri, resinous herbs, dried flowers, and a hint of saison beer — the unmistakable signature of skin-contact vinification done right. On the palate: svelte and elegantly concentrated, with a broad, refreshing finish that lingers with phenolic grip, a streak of bright acidity, and retronasal floral notes that keep pulling you back. Serve slightly cool — this is a wine for the table, not the cocktail hour. Drink now through 2027.

Roberto Henriquez Rivera del Notro Tinto Pais 2024 750ml
Roberto Henriquez | Rivera del Notro | Tinto País 2024 | Bio Bío Valley, Chile | 750ml | 11% ABV
Roberto Henriquez is one of Chile's most compelling natural wine producers, working with ancient País vines in the Secano Interior — the dry-farmed interior valleys of the south where this grape has grown, largely forgotten, for centuries. The Rivera del Notro is his most fruit-forward expression: 200-year-old vines planted in alluvial soils on the warmer southern edge of the Bío Bío River, yielding a wine that is juicy, generous, and built for the table.
Where his País Franco tends toward the ethereal and mineral, the Rivera del Notro leans into pleasure. Tart red berries, a firm but approachable tannic grip, and a refreshing acidity that makes it equally at home chilled on a summer afternoon or alongside a proper asado. Serve it slightly cool — this is a red that rewards a few minutes in the fridge.
"Summer has arrived and what a perfect way to enjoy the long summer days than with a bottle of chillable red. At 11% ABV, it's meant to be served chilled — ideal for picnics, park and beach outings. Lots of tart and tangy red fruit, light on the palate, refreshing acidity."
— Oscar Garcia Moncada, Lead Sommelier, 67 Wine

Roberto Henriquez Super Estrella Corinto (Chasselas) White 2024 750ml
Winemaker Description
Roberto Henríquez spent several years working in South Africa, Canada and France before going on to study agronomy and enology. In 2015 he moved back home to Biobío and began his own project based on the grape Pais, in part motivated by Louis Antoine Luyt.
Quickly he got a lot of recognition due to his most important work in principle of recovering the traditional viticultre in the South of Chile, by obtaining a delicate rusticity in all his wines. Torontel is a grape that evolved from a natural cross of Moscatel de Alejandria and Pais.
A white wine rich in spices and floral tones. This is an intense wine with tremendous body and acidity, with especially with firm, sharp tannins.

Roc de L’Abbaye Sancerre L’Antique — Saint-Satur, Loire Valley 2024
L’Antique is one of the founding cuvées of Roc de L’Abbaye — created 30 years ago as a tribute to the winemaker’s grandfather and his philosophy of minimal intervention. The grapes come from the best Silex hillsides in the village of Saint-Satur, one of Sancerre’s most prized terroirs, where the flint-rich soils impart the signature stony minerality that defines great Loire Sauvignon Blanc. True to its heritage, L’Antique is made unclarified and lightly filtered, allowing the full elegance of the terroir to express itself without interference. Wine Enthusiast awarded it 93 points. Decanter 92. This is Sancerre as it was meant to be made.

Rocca di Frassinello Maremma Toscana 2018 750ml
Expert Review - Vintage 2018
James Suckling 92 Points | A rich, fruity red with plum, chocolate and walnut character. It’s full-bodied with lots of round tannins and a savory finish.
Monica Larner writes; The 2018 Maremma Toscana Ornello is a blend of Sangioveto (Sangiovese), Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from the design winery of Rocca di Frassinello on the Tuscan Coast. This wine pays homage to the "butteri," or cowboys, that roam this remote and hilly terrain with their sturdy horses and leather hats. This wine shows a dark and meaty character, no doubt added by the Syrah, with some burnt ember and exotic spice. The bouquet is infused with dark fruit, dried plum and blackberry preserves. This is a full-bodied Tuscan red to pair with cowboy meals of steak and beans. Drinking 2020 to 2028. - Robert Parker Wine Advocate 92
Antonio Galloni writes: The 2018 Rocca di Frassinello is a bold, exotic wine. Ripe red cherry, kirsch, cinnamon and rose petal are all kicked up in this flamboyant Maremma red. Plush fruit and silky tannins add to its considerable appeal. Hints of sweet pipe tobacco, cedar and mint appear over time, adding striking inner perfume and sweetness. The 2018 is a decidedly racy Rocca di Frassinello. Drinking 2020 to 2033. - Vinous 94

Rodney Strong California Chardonnay 2024 750ml
Rodney Strong California Chardonnay — Sonoma County 2024
Rodney Strong has been one of Sonoma County's most trusted names for over six decades, and their California Chardonnay is the house's benchmark for accessible, well-crafted white wine done right. The 2024 vintage was barrel-fermented at 60% and aged on lees for seven months — a technique that adds creaminess, spice, and vanilla complexity — while the remaining 40% was cold-fermented in tank to preserve the wine's bright tropical and citrus character. The result is a Chardonnay that punches well above its price point, earning 90 points from Wine Enthusiast and 88 points from Wine Spectator.
The nose opens with Gala apple, Meyer lemon peel, citrus blossom, lemon curd, and fresh herb, with hints of toasty oak and baking spice. On the palate, the wine is juicy and medium-bodied with concentrated flavors of nectarine, tangerine, pear, pineapple, and lemon curd, framed by a creamy mouthfeel, fresh sleek acidity, and a long, lingering finish of fresh pear, ginger, and vanilla. It is the kind of Chardonnay that overdelivers at every pour.

Rodolphe le Meunier - ‘Tommette Brǔlée’ Basque Sheep Cheese (France, priced per ounce)
Rodolphe Le Meunier | Tommette Brûlée | Basque Sheep's Milk Cheese | France | Priced per ounce
There are many semi-firm sheep's milk cheeses from the mountainous Basque country of southern France, but Tommette Brûlée is something apart. Several small dairies produce the little wheels, draining them for a few days before they are collected and brought to the cellars of famed affineur Rodolphe Le Meunier for further aging. There, the wheels are cleaned and turned for three to four months to ensure even, unhurried maturation.
Once the Tommette reaches ideal ripeness, Rodolphe's team torches the rind — adding a touch of caramelized sweetness and a burnished, deeply appealing exterior. The result is irresistible: silky, yielding paste with flavors of roasted cashews, brown butter, and tortilla chips, wrapped in a rind that carries the faintest whisper of smoke and caramel.
Melt slices over toast for a deeply comforting snack, or drizzle cubes with honey and peppery olive oil for an addictive appetizer. Either way, it disappears fast.

Rodolphe le Meunier Beurre de Baratte aux Algues — Tours, France

Trained under the legendary Marie-Anne Cantin and named Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France) in 2000, le Meunier brings the same obsessive attention to quality to his butters as he does to his world-renowned cheeses. His Beurre de Baratte — churned butter in the traditional French style — is made from the finest cream and finished with hand-harvested Atlantic seaweed, creating a compound butter of extraordinary depth and character.
The butter is rich, golden, and deeply flavorful — the clean, cultured tang of high-quality French cream balanced by the briny, mineral complexity of the algues. It's simultaneously oceanic and luxurious: a finishing butter that transforms everything it touches. Spread on warm sourdough, melted over grilled fish or shellfish, or used to finish a risotto or pasta, this is a butter that earns its place at the table.

Rodolphe Le Meunier- Beurre de Baratte Salé; high- fat, salted, cultured butter (Normandy, 250 g)
Bliss. Pure, unadulterated bliss. Yes, we're talking about a butter, but the RLM Beurre de Baratte is a butter like no other. Smooth, creamy and sweet with big chunks to salt. It's a cheat code to melt into pasta, atop grilled proteins or in popcorn, but seriously, all you really need is a spoon.
Pair it with a Jura Chardonnay (yeah, really!)

Based in Tours, Le Meunier selects and ages cheeses from the finest producers across France, bringing each to its peak of expression through meticulous cellar work and an uncompromising commitment to quality. His Fromage d'Ossau is sourced from the Basque region of the French Pyrénées — one of the world's great sheep's milk cheese traditions, where flocks of Manech and Basco-Béarnaise ewes graze on mountain pastures to produce milk of extraordinary richness and character. Aged to perfection by Le Meunier, this is Ossau-Iraty at its finest.
The paste is firm and smooth with a natural rind. Roederer Estate - Champagne Heritage in California
When a house from the prestigious region of Champagne takes interest in making wine in the U.S., it's a big deal. When the Roederer family arrived in California they headed north of the famed Napa and Sonoma to the cooler climate of Anderson Valley in Mendocino County. Roederer Estate's dedication to quality ensures that each bottle not only meets but exceeds the expectations of discerning wine lovers.

L'Ermitage - Tête de Cuvée

"Greatest Wine Ever Made at Roederer Estate"
As Antonio Galloni notes, "the 2019 Brut L'Ermitage is shaping up to be the greatest wine ever made at Roederer Estate." This milestone vintage represents the culmination of decades of expertise and dedication.
2019 Vintage Milestone
2019 L'Ermitage represents a milestone for the tête de cuvée as the first vintage of these wines to go through malolactic fermentation. The pH range is close to that of 2006, which was revered for its smoothness, making it a less classic, taut L'Ermitage and calling for a lower dosage, as well as an early release and drinking window.
Blend Composition
The 2019 Brut L'Ermitage blends 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir, all estate grown from one growing season, with 3.9% Chardonnay from the 2016 vintage, and a dosage of 6 grams per liter. These carefully selected grapes are crafted using traditional methods.
Oak Aging & Batonnage
About 4.9% of the wine was fermented in oak cask, with gentle batonnage for eight weeks. The wine used for the dosage is a 2019 aged in oak cask for four years. The wine rests with its yeast lees for 4 years, and a small bit of oak-aged reserve wine is added at the end.
Extended Aging
Following disgorgement, 2019 L'Ermitage was aged an additional seven months on the cork prior to release. This extended aging process imparts a fine mousse and a persistent finish that lingers on the palate.
Tasting Profile
Appearance: Liquid gold
Aroma: Quince paste, light pastry crust, fresh succulent stone fruit, citrus blossoms, salt, herbs, pine forest, river-rock minerality, sliced pear, vanilla bean

Anderson Valley Terroir
A compelling wine that really speaks of place. The cooler climate of Anderson Valley in Mendocino County creates ideal conditions for producing world-class sparkling wine with freshness, vibrancy, and distinctive character.
10-15 Year Aging Potential
Should age well over the next 10-15 years. While seriously impressive now, it needs time to fully develop. Readers will have to be patient, but the wait will be rewarded.

Planted in the cool, fog-influenced Anderson Valley of Mendocino County, the estate grows Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in terroir that produces wines of genuine freshness and elegance. The Brut NV is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, built on a base of 2019 wines, aged two years on the lees, with a significant portion of oak-aged reserve wine adding richness and complexity. The Estate Brut opens with aromas of baked apple, pie crust, toasted cashews, almonds, and biscuit with flinty touches. More herbal and textural than Champagne, with a good Champagne’s freshness and elegance. As the New York Times put it: “It doesn’t taste like Champagne. It’s more herbal, less mineral, but it’s got a good Champagne’s freshness and elegance.”

Roederer Estate Brut NV Sparkling Anderson Valley California Rose 750ml
Expert Reviews
Jeb Dunuck by Virginia Boone writes 94 Points | Gorgeously pretty in a salmon hue, the MV Brut Rose is a blend of 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay given additional complexity from 10 to 15% oak-aged wines from the estate's reserve cellars. Disgorged in May 2023. It has a dosage of 8 grams per liter and is delightfully precise in nature, fully balanced between red fruit and acidity, with a rounded mid-palate and enduring finesse to the mousse. The acidity and structure are solidly impressive and should give the wine plenty of time to age through 2035, if not beyond.
The Wine Enthusiast by Tonya Pitts writes 93 Points | This wine is pale-pink salmon-hued with aromas of yeasty brioche, fresh raspberry, youthful strawberry, white tea and spiced orange zest on the nose. The midpalate is firm mousse, dried raspberry, orange blossom, gliding into supple orange cream and white grapefruit with a dry finish. Pair with life.
The Wine Spectator by Tim Fish 92 Points | Graceful yet dynamic, with pretty strawberry and citrus flavors that take on fresh violet, orange peel and spice accents as this builds vibrancy toward the bright finish.
James Suckling 93 Points | This wine has gone on my ‘wines that always deliver’ list. And, in addition to being delicious and excellent value, I’ve found that I enjoy the company philosophy and people behind the project.
Vinous by Antonio Galloni 91 Points | The NV Brut Rosé is a serious but also very versatile Rosé. Cranberry, spice, dried rose petal and mint grace this understated, resonant Rosé. This Pinot Noir-based Rosé fleshes out beautifully with a bit of time in the glass.

Rombauer Chardonnay Carneros Napa Valley 2023 375ml HALF BOTTLE
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2023
Jonathan Cristaldi of Decanter Magazine writes 93 Points | This wine impresses with its richness, creamy vanilla, and buttery brioche notes on the nose—never over the top—building into a fleshy, layered palate balanced by excellent acidity, with a pH of around 3.4 and 6.2 TA. Candied ginger peel, rich citrus, and tangerine peel lead into baked pineapple notes on a very long, saline-mineral finish—a true crowd-pleaser, perfect with roast chicken and potatoes or roast pork. The fruit for this Chardonnay comes from Napa and Sonoma Carneros. Barrel-fermented and aged for nine months in a mix of American and French oak, one-third of which is new. Oklahoma-born and raised, Andrew Holloway began his winemaking journey as an intern at Rombauer in 2010. His talent and dedication saw him rise to assistant winemaker in 2014, and in 2023, he was named winemaker.
Jim Gordon of JamesSuckling.com writes 91 Points | This is a lush, ripe, relaxed classic with generous poached pear and peach pie flavors. Full-bodied, rich in fruit and spice flavors, with butter and caramel accents. All barrel fermented, with hand-stirred lees and full malolactic. Reasonable acidity and a super-relaxed texture.

Rombauer Chardonnay Carneros Napa Valley 2024 750ml
Rombauer Vineyards | Chardonnay | Carneros, Napa Valley | 2024 | 750ml
Few California Chardonnays have achieved what Rombauer has: a style so consistent, so immediately recognizable, and so genuinely crowd-pleasing that it has become a benchmark in its own right. The Carneros bottling is the house's flagship — a wine that delivers ripe fruit intensity, creamy texture, and the signature bright acidity that keeps it from ever feeling heavy.
The 2024 vintage benefited from good winter rain, a moderate spring, and warm September spells that brought optimal ripeness while preserving structure. Expert Reviews - Vintage 2023
Vinous 92 Points | The 2023 Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands) is a good bit lighter and brighter than last year, unsurprising given the conditions of this long, cool growing season. Rombauer Sauvignon Blanc Napa 2025 750ml
Rombauer Vineyards · Sauvignon Blanc · Napa & Sonoma Counties · California · 2025
Rombauer Vineyards has long been synonymous with California’s most hedonistic whites — and their Sauvignon Blanc, affectionately known as “California Sunshine in a Glass,” is no exception. Sourced from two estate vineyards in Sonoma prized for freshness and vibrancy, blended with select warmer sites in Napa County, the wine is farmed sustainably with NDVI aerial imaging to optimize each block individually. Whole-cluster pressed, fermented primarily in stainless steel with a portion in French oak and concrete for texture, and bottled under screwcap to lock in every bit of its aromatic intensity. 91 points from James Suckling.
The 2025 was shaped by a long, cool growing season — heavy winter rains replenishing the water table, followed by slow, even ripening through a cool spring and summer — yielding a wine of exceptional freshness and aromatic precision. Pale lemon-green in the glass, it bursts with key lime, freshly cut grass, grapefruit, stone fruit, and lychee. The palate is mid-weighted with brilliant acidity, a textured mouthfeel, and a linear, bright, mouthwatering finish that keeps you reaching for the next sip.

Ron del Barrilito Aged Rum Two Stars Calidad Extra 86 Proof 750ml
Ron del Barrilito · Two Stars · Calidad Extra · Aged Rum · Puerto Rico · 750ml
Ron del Barrilito is Puerto Rico's most storied rum — a family-made spirit produced at the Hacienda Santa Ana in Bayamón, where the Fernandez family has been aging rum in small oak barrels since 1880. Unlike the large industrial producers that dominate the Caribbean rum category, Ron del Barrilito is made in tiny quantities using traditional methods: aged for a minimum of three years in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, bottled by hand, and released without chill filtration or artificial coloring. The Two Stars “Calidad Extra” is the entry point into the Barrilito range — and it is already a rum of remarkable character and complexity. At $31.99, this is one of the most authentic and underappreciated spirits in the category.
Natural bronze in the glass with a warm, inviting nose of dried plum, almond, apricot, and vanilla, layered with subtle smoky and woody notes from the sherry cask aging. On the palate: light-to-medium bodied and beautifully balanced, with caramelized fruit, sugar cane sweetness, and a delicate, lasting oak finish that lingers long after the glass is empty. Exceptional neat or on the rocks; also outstanding in a classic rum cocktail — a Daiquiri, Old Fashioned, or simply with a splash of soda water.
