On the nose, notes of sweet cream, juicy white peach, green apple, and a hint of minerality are accented by brown spice and vanilla. The mouthfeel is round and smooth but balanced by bright acidity with hints of stone fruit and honey make for an elegant and perfectly ripened chardonnay from the Central Coast.  Winemaker Description.

Sinewy and graceful, minerally with plenty of ravishing botrytis. It is a habit-forming aperitif that marries better with cheeses than most reds. The French are known to admire it with Sunday’s roast chicken. With dessert? Yes. As dessert? Yes. Winemaker Description.

Established in 1978, the Rose family estate vineyards are situated on the banks of the Wairau River (pronounced “why-row”). Kozlovic is family winery that started in 1904 in the Valle Valley of Istria, Croatia. The estate has been passed down from generation to generation, and the importance of family is at the center of what Kozlovic does. The vineyards are planted to the local varietals Malvazija, Muscat Momiano, Muscat Rose and Teran and grown on the hills of Valle, Santa Lucia and Kontarini in clay soils known locally as "Terra Bianca" (a mix of flysch, limestone and white clay). The vines are grown sustainably with minimal spraying and all grapes are hand-harvested. 

The Kozlovic Malvazija is made from 100% Malvasia Istriana, fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for a few months and then aged in bottle for another two months. A small percentage of Malvazija is fermented and aged in oak barrels, then added back to the wine. Highly aromatic, the wine displays notes of acacia flowers, peaches, apples and herbs. On the palate, the wine features a bold, refreshing acidity that is mouth-watering. There is a wonderful mineral complexity with a subtle salinity on the palate and finish. This is an incredibly food-friendly wine that can pair with scampi risotto, scallops, white fish or pasta.

This classic Carneros Chardonnay was grown primarily on the Schug Estate vineyard, with additional barrels from the Wildcat Vineyard and Thornton Ranch. It was fermented and aged on the lees ("sur-lie") in small French Oak barrels, with judicious new oak introduced. Malolactic fermentation was not induced, allowing the wine to retain its natural acidity and varietal focus. The result is a wine that is both rich and powerful, while refreshing and elegant on the finish. It has a ripe, spicy tropical bouquet with flavors that suggest citrus, pear, and spiced apples. Well-balanced acidity gives it a crisp, clean finish, making it an excellent wine with food. Try it with cream soups, rich seafood, fowl, veal, and pasta dishes.

92 Points Wine Enthusiast | Hints of crushed mineral and fresh herb persist from nose to finish in this intriguingly earthy yet elegant dry wine. The palate is vibrantly citrusy, offering shards of lemon and lime accented by dried-orange peel and spice. Medium bodied but silky in texture, it's freshened by pert lime acidity.

Concentrated yellow berry fruit and apple skin backed by complex earthy aromas of spontaneous fermentation.  The palate has an excellent balance of delicate sweetness and juiciness, featuring clover honey and citrus.

95 Points James Suckling | At once delicately spicy, but well-structured with so many subtle nuances, this is a very sophisticated Spatlese with only a hint of sweetness. Very long, spicy and smoky finish, and just beginning to open up. Drink or hold. (2018).

94+ Points Robert Parker | The 2018 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Spätlese is precise and remarkably refined on the subtle yet complex, terroir-driven and slightly flinty nose. Rich and piquant on the palate, with a vital acidity exposition and crunchy grip, this is a serious and sustainably structured Spätlese from "the other" Sonnenuhr. The finish is so mineral that it tastes almost dry and if not now in 10 or 20 years. This is a great ZSU to be served in a decade or two. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.

On the nose, juicy scents and earthy spices fill up the glass. On the palate, a refreshing mineral character. Pair this Riesling with spicy Asian cuisine, poultry, or fish dishes. Winemaker Description. 

95+ Points Wine Advocate |  Entirely vinified in large, partly renewed oak, the 2020 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Trocken GG opens deep, pure, refined but also very intense and complex on the highly attractive nose that is full, generous and aromatic and reveals more oak aromas than the premiers crus Klosterberg and Turmberg. On the palate, this is a very elegant, refined and balanced Riesling with a sweeter or rounder taste than the Turmberg (although it's analytically less sweet), but it reveals a similar saline vibrancy. The richer and rounder sensation might be due to the loess-loam components of the Gräfenberg phyllite terroir compared to the shallower terroir of the Turmberg, but richness and power are the nature of the Gräfenberg, which is still fresh and refined enough to represent its coolish terroir character as well. Since the 2020 will be released only in September 2022 (so 12 months later than former vintages), I assume it will become brighter, finer and purer over the next 12 months.

Wine Spectator 90 Points | A flinty, compact version, evoking apple, lemon, white pepper and stone flavors. Bracing on the finish, where the lemon and stone elements persist. Drink now through 2032. 3,000 cases made.

The Erden Prälat is the smallest grand cru vineyard in the Mosel with around 1.5 hectares of steep slopes. The label with the monk is reserved only for wines from this vineyard. Pristine aromas of very ripe pear, apple, and honey melon, slight salinity and dark earthy notes typical for the Prälat. On the palate concentrated and wide, juicy, candied ginger, sweet lime, white pepper, with an excellent backbone of acidity, which keeps this wine fresh and full of tension for decades to come, long finish. Winemaker Description. 

Bright Yellow fruit nose like really freshly picked golden delicious apples as well as some hints of guava.  Spiced palate with medium acidity. Pepper and baking spices on the finish.  Like a lighter, crisper version of a Napa Valley sauvignon blanc.  

This would pair very nicely with ceviche with plenty of cilantro and jalapeño. Winemaker Description. 

The Cretan variety Dafní was saved from extinction by the Lyrarakis family, when it was planted in the "Psarades" vineyard at 480m. altitude in the early '90s. Its name derives from the laurel (bay leaf) plant, “Dáfni” in Greek, due to its aromatic resemblance.

Philipp Reiß is currently in the process of converting his family estate from grape growers to wine producers, and these are the first, errr - fruits of that labor to make it stateside. 

A profound expression of Riesling that, despite having zero additives, sure calls for a decant and some hours for it to truly unfurl its majestic crystalline reach.

95 Points James Suckling | This remarkable Saar Kabinett is very crystalline. Stacks of delicate white tree fruit and white flower aromas. Very straight and bright on the light-bodied palate which flashes like the blade of a sabre in the sun. Fantastic precision and subtly salty at the very long and pristine finish. 93 Points Vinous | The 2022 Riesling Scharzhofberger Kabinett has a very open but tender nose: ripe greengage is bright and edged with a whisper of chervil. The sweetness on the palate kicks in first, but lightness takes over with serene lemon freshness and fine, almost earthy stone. Ripe greengage, delineated by lemon, soaks up that initial sugar and presents it as juicy, ripe fruit. Finesse runs through this, dancing on light Kabinett feet. The finish is merely off-dry. 92 Points Mosel Fine Wines | The 2022er Scharzhofberger Riesling Kabinett is a barely fruity-styled wine. It is quite herbal and smoky at first and needs a few minutes in the glass to reveal fresh scents of white flowers, minty herbs, bergamot, vineyard peach, and lime zest. The wine is superbly playful and light-weighted on the finely creamy and delicately refined palate. The finish is very delicate and juicy. 2032-2047. 

OBiKWA Sauvignon Blanc is the ideal summer wine and smacks of crisp tropical fruit with a smattering of gooseberries and fig. If you’re planning a night out with mates – don’t forget to bring along a bottle of this yummy potion.

93 Points Wine Advocate | The 2020 Meursault Village has turned out beautifully in bottle, unwinding in the glass with scents of crisp Anjou pear, lemon zest, freshly baked bread, blanched almonds, pastry cream and apple blossom. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, its textural attack segues into a fleshy, precise mid-palate that's animated by racy acids, concluding with a long, mouthwatering finish. It's another terrific rendition of this benchmark cuvée.

Burghound | A perfumed and exuberantly spicy nose offers up a blend of both red and dark cherry along with floral nuances. The wonderfully sleek, refined and punchy medium weight flavors possess a gorgeous texture thanks to the very fine-grained tannins supported the firm, youthfully austere and mineral-driven finish. This is textbook Fuées. Outstanding.

Burhound 92-94 Points | An elegant, pure and ultra-fresh nose offers up notes of lilac, rose petal, white peach, tea and citrus zest. There is a markedly more refined mouthfeel to the utterly delicious and highly seductive medium weight flavors that are more precise, all wrapped in a citrusy, impressively persistent and youthfully austere finale. This is very classy and I particularly like the underlying tension and balance that should also permit this beauty to age effortlessly over the next 12 to 15 years. In a word, excellent.

94 Points Wine Spectator | Bruised apple and persimmon give this a beautiful earthy dimension, while racy, pithy acidity powers the energy. The rich fruit and ripeness is well-matched by the notes of fleur de sel and crushed stone. Shows impressive depth, acid verve and coiled energy, which carries the off-dry profile.

Winemaker Description

Taking its roots deep into the chalk soils of Vouvray, this off-dry wine resonates beautifully in the mouth. Its natural sugar and refreshing acidity blend harmoniously. Aerial and complex, this fruity wine is to be appreciated young, but can reveal itself graciously to the ones who wait. Winemaker Description. 

92 Points Vinous | The 2022 Le Haut-Lieu Sec is a lithe, reductive style with floral character and talcum powder. Full of phenolic, lip-smacking texture woven through its core, lending a sense of satisfying grunt to this dry yet balanced style. Clarity, precision and harmony are keywords in this wine's execution. A little more fleeting on the finish than ideal. (5.5g/L).

The original Huët vineyard is nearly 9 hA. It has the richest soils of the domaine’s three crus - a deep limestone-clay - and the wines are generally the estate’s most approachable. In some vintages, small quantities from nearby estate parcels may be added to Le Haut-Lieu. Winemaker Description.

94 Points Wine Spectator | A very expressive, rich and inviting wine, with an enticing mix of juicy lemon, yellow apple and honeysuckle flavors flecked with dried thyme, brioche and chamomile tea. Shows a lot of stuffing, with vivid acidity and chalky tannins providing a framework for the density, extending through the quinine-laced finish.

Le Mont wines are often the estate's most reticent, but develop the strongest perfume with age. Mineral-driven with a crystalline purity, this is the precision we've come to rely on with Le Mont. Winemaker Description. 

This Pinot Grigio has aromas of wildflowers, peaches and pears. It has fresh, tropical flavors, that combined with a touch of spice in this medium-bodied wine provide a lovely finish that is crisp and refreshing on the palate. Winemaker Description.
