Inama Soave Classico Superiore Veneto 2023 750ml
Critic Notes
Ned Goodwin MW writes: Glazed quince, marzipan and fecund stone fruits careen along a mid-weighted palate, towed by typically saline acidity and a furl of smokiness. A warm year. And it shows. A blend of all plots that are not designated for the Foscarino. Volcanic soils only. Partly sourced fruit. All Garganega. Screw cap. Drink or hold. - James Suckling 90
Eric Guido writes: The 2022 Soave Classico Vin Soave entices with a whiff of crushed stone and chalk dust, giving way to crisp green apples. This blends ripe orchard fruits with stimulating mineral tones and fresh acidity. Silky and refined yet saline in character, this finishes remarkably fresh, with a lively tension that calls the taster back to the glass. - Vinous
Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre Veronese 2021 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2021
Monica Larner of the Wine Advocate writes 90 Points | A blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Sangiovese, the 2020 Palazzo della Torre is luscious, dark and exceedingly contemporary in style and execution. This is a soft and well-textured expression with layers of ripe fruit, black cherry, spice, bitter chocolate and tangy Spanish cedar from oak aging. The oak is quite dominate, so be ready for this particular stylistic approach. This is an ample production of 600,000 bottles.
Jeff Porter of the Wine Enthusiast writes 90 Points | A portion of this wine undergoes a drying process called appassimento and then is blended into the non-dried wine. This process gives the wine richness and intensity while also keeping the freshness needed to balance out the wine. Aromas of blackberry, cassis, sour cherry, mixed herbs and dried violets spill from the glass. The palate is rich yet in balance, with savory notes and forest floor combining with the densely packed fruit, and a perfectly timed pop of acidity on the finish.

Expert Review
92 Points James Suckling | An excellent Ripasso. A full-weighted wine that is polished by a slick veneer of winemaking. Licorice root, violet, clove, sassafras and dark cherry accents to the oak. The sweetness strays into kirsch territory, yet the tannic clamp ensures that it’s not excessive. This is a wine for those who like power and polish. (2020).
92 Points Wine Spectator | An aromatic, savory streak of tarry smoke and leather offers a subtle underpinning for the rich mesh of Amarena cherry, cured tobacco, licorice and warm spices on display in this harmonious red, with supple, well-knit tannins. Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone. Drink now through 2030. (2020).

Bart Hopkins 67Wine.com | There are times when we look to wine for a sense of challenge, its compatibility with a particular food and perhaps a particular mood. Although, sometimes we’re not always in a challenging state of mind, but rather in a mood that calls for something comforting and just plain delicious. May I present just such a wine, the 2020 Speri Valpolicella Ripasso, made from organically grown grapes. In the glass, the aroma brings forth a beautiful dark fruit bouquet with notes of chocolatey cappuccino and licorice vying for your attention. In the mouth, the wine glides effortlessly on the palate with velvety richness and smooth supple tannins, finishing long and elegantly. Perfectly balanced without a trace of heaviness, this is a wine that provides pure hedonistic drinking pleasure without challenging us to decide if it's the right wine or not. Only after another year on the bottle does the Amarone leave the Zenato family winery on Lake Garda.

This Italian red wine presents itself dark red, almost black in the glass. It overwhelms in the best way with voluminous elegance, dense, multi-layered aromas and a beautiful balance of fruit and tannin. A phenomenal length makes this Amarone irresistible. Full-bodied and fine-grained palate, with a tight structure and fantastic balance, which indicates good aging potential. Long and savory, yet reserved. A textbook Amarone with freshness, savoriness and concentration. Drinkable now, but better to give it some time. Try in 2024 or later.

Expert Reviews
James Suckling 97 Points | Density and dryness that really comes together here, after almost 10 years in bottle. It’s very deep and vertical on the palate. Very pure and beautiful crushed cherries, dried flowers, carbon and pumice. Wonderful all round. Drink or hold.
Decanter Aldo Fiordelli 94 Points | One of the most classic Amarones, which has never changed its elegant rather than powerful style. The 2011 vintage was challenging, with a warm and rainy summer, but overall it was very good – Bertani isn’t averse to skipping a vintage if it’s not at the top level. Bright garnet in the glass, this is dominated by leather, earthy tones and restrained raspberry fruit. The fresh character is intense, with hints of citrus, slightly oxidative flavours and a Modica salted-chocolate finish. Full and firm, with slightly rustic tannins yet outstanding balance between suppleness and structure. Drinking 2021 - 2047
Wine Spectator Alison Napjus 91 Points | A poised red, expanding slowly on the palate, with fine, creamy tannins enmeshed with a range of black cherry coulis, black plum reduction, iron, dark chocolate and tobacco notes. Fresh and focused, with a lasting, spiced finish. Drink now through 2031.

Nino Franco Faive Rose Vino Spumante Brut 2020 750ml
The Faìve Spumante Rosé Brut from the Nino Franco winery is obtained from a skilful blend of 80% Merlot grapes and 20% Cabernet Franc grapes. The vineyards are located in the heart of Valdobbiadene, a typical prosecco area, where the soil structure rich in nutrients and the very mild climate favor optimal development of the vines and the production of quality grapes.
This winery has been producing quality wines and sparkling wines for several years, combining two important concepts such as excellence and typicality of the products. To produce Faìve Spumante Rosé Brut, a specific production cycle is followed. After a brief contact between the skins and the must, the fermentation takes place in steel tanks before carrying out the second fermentation with the Classic Method.
The refinement takes place directly in the bottle. In this way an elegant and refined sparkling wine is obtained, with a persistent foam, balanced and ideal to be consumed during an aperitif. Winemaker Description.

James Suckling | Dark cherries, blackberries, mussels, licorice, figs and some finely ground black chocolate, following through to a medium-to full-bodied palate with elegant berries and a bittersweet black-chocolate note. A refined, textbook Amarone that shows great poise and modern drinkability.
Bussola TB Amarone Classico Riserva 2012 750ml
Winemaker Description
Fantastically hedonistic, offering great velvety richness on the palate and exotic notes of black cherry, cocoa, and ash. The Riserva is a selection from the estate's best fruit.
Expert Reviews
Eric Guido of Vinous writes 94 Points | The 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico TB is surprisingly lifted and airy on the nose, with licorice-tinged cherries and rosy florals. This impresses with a push and pull of savory and sweet, as well as a bitter twang of cocoa and spice that further accentuates the ripe berry and plumy fruits within. The contrasts are quite appealing, as a mix of saline-minerals and juicy acids help to add both depth and freshness further accentuated by a hint of sour citrus. Fine tannins linger and also balance the expression through the long and balsamic finale. The 2012 is just a baby today, so give it at least a few more years to come into focus. Drinking 2024 - 2034.
James Suckling 94 Points | This is a structured and solid Amarone, with dried fruits, sultanas, figs and iron. It’s full-bodied, yet compacted and tannic with a long and persistent finish. One for the cellar, but already impressive to drink. James Suckling 94
Alison Napjus of Wine Spectator writes 93 Points | Both juicy and mouthwatering, this rich red shows a lot of personality, offering layered flavors of blackberry pie and raspberry ganache, hints of espresso and sweet smoke, plus fragrant juniper, eucalyptus, lavender and leather accents. Features firm, well-meshed tannins, with creamy edges that meld into the silky flavor range. Drink now through 2035.
Monica Larner of Robert Parker writes | The Bussola 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva TB (in a heavy glass bottle) is a determined wine with lots of extra power and brawn. The wine shows sweet, air-dried fruit with baked plum and cherry confit. The alcohol content clocks in at 17%, which is way too much on any scale. Despite the high alcohol reading, the wine is still tastes sweet. Drinking 2022 - 2035.
