Expert Reviews
Wine Spectator 96 Points | This is really vivid, with a beautiful range of cassis, cherry purée, boysenberry coulis and plum reduction notes unfurling across the palate while succulent licorice, warm fruitcake and enticing red and black tea.
Wine Enthusiast 94 Points | One of the Douro's grandest quintas has produced a powerful, structured wine that shows concentration and density. The aromas and dark fruits speak to the Touriga Nacional in the blend, giving a Port that is destined for long-term aging. Drink from 2030. Cellar Selection.
Quinta Santa Eufemia 30 Year Tawny Port 750ml
Winemaker Description
Quinta de Santa Eufemia is a Portuguese Port house whose history begins in 1864 when Bernardo Rodrigues de Carvalho acquired vineyards in the Duoro and began producing and selling Port wines. His skills and passion have been passed down from generation to generation
The wine is quickly fermented in traditional lagares (treading tanks) before being fortified. After fortification, the wine is aged for nine months in stainless steel where it is naturally decanted, the transferred to 550 liter oak barrels where it ages for a further 4 years before bottling.
It pours a brick tawny color and has aromas and flavors of red currant, plums, caramel and toffee. Great on its own, this tawny also pairs nicely with smoked ham.
Quintessa Napa Valley Red Biodynamic 2017 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2017
Wine Advocate 95 Points | Already bottled, the 2017 Quintessa displays a deep garnet-purple color. The nose needs a little coaxing before it reveals bold, expressive notes of crushed red and black plums, black currant jelly, wild blueberries and kirsch with nuances of camphor, cloves, cedar and lilacs plus a hint of oolong tea. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has beautifully expressed, elegant red and black fruit layers, with a sturdy, grainy frame and plenty of freshness, finishing long and earthy.
Decanter 93 Points | Power and concentration from the first nose, underbrush and spice box notes show traces of the drought of the 2017 summer, turning into liquorice, bitter black chocolate, sweet fig and tight-berried fruit as it opens. Flavourful and compact, with subtle hints of thyme and sage, lacks some freshness but this is a well structured enjoyable bottle. From a beautiful, one-block vineyard in Rutherford, with vines on terraces planted around a lake. 76% new oak. Blend completed with 1% Petit Verdot. Tasted twice.
James Suckling 95 Points | Crushed berries, incense and blackberries with black-olive undertones. Extremely perfumed. Medium to full body. Very intense for a 2017. Crafted and polished. Long and caressing. Elegant. Drink or hold.
Quintessa Napa Valley Red Biodynamic 2018 750ml
Expert Reviews
James Suckling 99 Points writes | This is beautifully polished with firm, dusty tannins to the blue fruit, as well as chocolate and cedar character. Some much earthier character, too, from mushrooms to bark. Forest flowers. Perfumed. It’s full-bodied with round tannins and a soft, creamy finish. Some iron and iodine to this. So attractive at the finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Better after 2023. (2018).
Decanter Georgina Hindle 96 Points writes | A less traditional style of wine in Napa Valley, this is lifted and charming with poise, powdery tannins and a chalky finish. Richly perfumed and wonderfully evocative on the nose, it’s seductive and inviting with black cherries, raspberries and blueberries alongside savoury notes of dried herbs. The flavours open and evolve on the palate bringing cocoa, tobacco and pencil lead into play underpinned by supple tannins. It’s powerful but on the leaner side, refined and elegant with a good sense of diretion and drive - everything feels well placed and well defined. Tasted twice and both times were highly enjoyable. A blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot, 2% Carmenére and 1% Petit Verdot. Wines are aged for 20 months in oak, 100% French, 62% new. Biodynamically grown and certified organic. Winemaker Rebekah Wineburg and estate director Rodrigo Soto.
Robert Parker Joe Czerwinski 94+ Points writes | The dense, purple-hued 2018 Proprietary Red Wine seemed just a bit closed at this tasting, with pronounced cedary notes overshadowing the black cherry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, with a lush mouthfeel, silky-textured tannins and cocoa powder-like nuances on the lingering finish. (2018).
Vinous Antonio Galloni 93 Points writes | The 2018 Red Wine is a powerful, driving Napa Valley wine. Scorched earth, iron, chocolate, and leather give the red cherry/plum fruit distinctly savory accents. This is an especially tight wine in a vintage that yielded generally more supple, open-knit reds. Quintessa is one of the first Napa Valley estates I visited, many years ago. Since then, the property has undergone several stylistic phases. It will be interesting to see where things go over the next handful of years here. Drinking 2023 - 2038
Jancis Robinson 18.5 Points writes | Youthful purplish crimson. Vibrant nose with a suggestion of a creamy texture. Dense and savoury and beautifully balanced. Lovely and pure with a great future and tannins almost hidden by the fruit. Attractive savoury note. You could drink this now but it would be a pity. (2018).
Jancis Robinson Richard Hemming MW 17.5 Points writes Luxuriously rich and velvety, opulent but with enough herbal contrast to keep freshness on the nose. Lots of oak and dark chocolate on the palate. Such soft tannins! Really ready to drink. The oak is predominant on the finish. For Napa, this is reasonably restrained, and I'm sure it will develop well. (2018).
92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot, 2% Carménѐre
Winemaker Notes
The 2018 Quintessa is a wine of perfect harmony, with deep flavors and elegant layers that are apparent even from a young age. Intense aromas of cassis, black cherry, and raspberry intermingle with savory notes of sage and thyme; the 2018 Quintessa continues to unfold as notes of dark chocolate, graphite and fresh tobacco mingle with the fresh fruit. Precise and dense, the wine shows supple tannin that play with flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate, and crushed rocks. The 2018 Quintessa has a perfect balance of fresh acidity followed by bright fruit and minerality at the finish that portends unparalleled aging potential.

Radio Coteau County Line Zinfandel 2020 750ml

Expert Reviews
Tasting Panel 93 Points | We've long been fans of this 100% barrel-fermented wine aged in sur lie for nine months in French and Hungarian oak, but this vintage displays a surge of aromatics and flavors that is truly impressive. Ripe pear and lemon blossom perfume the air as the luxe mouthfeel of honeyed melon caresses the tongue. Intermingling notes of wet stone, charred caramel and yellow apple connect to an arch of bright acidity. The finish is juicy, with a twist of tangerine. Anthony Dias Blue

Ragtime Rye New York Streaight RYE Whiskey Bottled in Bond 750ml 100 Proof
Producer Description
At the dawn of a new century, before the turbulence of Prohibition, the stalwarts of saloons and brothels alike were Ragtime and Rye. The syncopated rhythms of a uniquely American music were punctuated by well-built melody and shades of harmony; to ask for a whiskey cocktail meant a hearty Rye in hand – bold, slightly spicy and full of warm flavor. From Lincoln to the Dust Bowl, the wrath of battle to the backyard barbecue, Rye Whiskey has waxed and waned like amber waves of grain, its popularity, only recently, reclaimed as a resolute American spirit.
Distilled from rye proudly grown in New York State, this uncompromising whiskey is aged exclusively in full-size barrels to ensure robust flavor and nuanced finish. If the destiny of nations depends on cultural nourishment then ours may rest, in fulfillment, with Ragtime and Rye.
Expert Reports
Tasting Panel | Distilled from New York State–grown rye; spicy, earthy, and smooth; rounded and complex; a very balanced and authentic label from the Brooklyn-based New York Distilling Company.
PointsWine Enthusiast | Made with rye grain grown in New York state, and aged for three years. A mild maple aroma leads into the distinctly sweet-and-spiced palate, which opens with maple and marzipan and exits with plenty of baking spice intensity. Mix into Manhattans and other cocktails.

Ramey Cellars Fort Ross Seaview Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2022 750ml
Audrey Frick writes:The 2022 Chardonnay Fort Ross-Seaview reveals more flint, as well as notes of lime zest, green apples, toasty incense, and saline. Medium bodied, it retains good freshness and has a savory feel on the finish. It reveals a light herbal note, but it’s going to drink well over the next 10 years. Drinking 2024 to 2034. - Jeb Dunnuck 94
Jim Gordon writes: Flavors of key limes and lemon curd burst from this well-balanced, tangy, acid-driven wine as it lights up the palate. Despite a full body, it shows freshness, vibrancy and concentration, with hints of oak spices, vanilla bean and custard that echo on the finish. Drink or hold. - James Suckling 93
Antonio Galloni writes: The 2022 Chardonnay (Fort Ross-Seaview) is a very pretty wine. Jasmine, tangerine peel, mint and light tropical notes all run through this expressive, nuanced Chardonnay. 94 Points Vinous | The 2021 Chardonnay Woolsey Road Vineyard is another dense, ample wine in this range. The Woolsey Road has a good deal of phenolic intensity. There's real breadth and resonance here. Lemon confit, white pepper and dried herbs are nicely amplified.

Ramirez de Ganuza Rioja Reserva 2013 750ml
Winemaker Description
The flagship of the winery, the Reserva is made mostly from Tempranillo (85%) with splashes of Graciano, Viura and Malvasia. The vines are on average about 60 years of age, and the wine is aged for over two years in new French oak.
With six vineyards situated in the foothills of the Cantabrian mountain range, Remírez de Ganuza blends some of the best terroirs from Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Alta. The combination of high elevation, clay/limestone soils, increased oceanic influence, and 50 year old average vines produces low-yielding vines with exceptional quality.
A decadent nose, bristling with fresh cherry and vanilla, belies a palate of equally pristine fruit. Balance between the acidic and tannic structures is harmonious, playing gently yet firmly off one another for a refined experience.
Expert Review
Wine Enthusiast 93 Points | Smooth aromas of mature berry fruits and plum amount to a silky whole touched up by café mocha. A saturated palate is packed with pulpy black fruit, while this tastes of blackberry, tobacco, coffee and oak. A smooth finish with a meaty texture and chocolaty notes concludes this dense holdover from a cold year.

Wine Spectator 90 Points | Wafts of dried flowers and cigar box spices offer a subtle, fragrant thread that winds through plump cherry, plum sauce and vanilla flavors in this well-meshed red. Fresh and focused, with dense, fine-grained tannins emerging to trim the finish. Drink now through 2029. 3,000 cases made, 1,500 cases imported.
Ramon Canals Cava Reserva Rose Metode Tradicional Garnacha Pinot Noir Organic 2018 750ml
Critic Notes
James Suckling writes: A fresh and attractive sparkling rosé that suggests tulips and raspberries. Some light froth on the palate and a medium body make for pleasant, easy drinking. Nice minerality on the finish. Drink now. - James Suckling 90
Winemaker Notes
A Cava of the traditional method, the grapes for this blush sparkler are sourced from clay and calcareous vineyards. A hand-gathered harvest selects the best of the plots, before pressing and a 12 hour maceration. The wine then ages for 24 months on the lees.
Bright strawberry notes are at the forefront of this energetic sparkler, backed by tropical, citrus aromas. Touches of minerality show through the fine mousse and lead into a bright finish of grapefruit acidity.
Garnatxa and Pinot Noir

Ramos Pinto 20 Year Tawny Port Quinta do Bom Retiro 750ml 94D, 93WS, 93RP
Wine Enthusiast 92 Points | At 20 years, aged tawnies bear fruit and concentrated wood flavors, plus dry acidity. This is rich and poised, and it has a fine, full finish. Editors' Choice.
Wine Advocate 93 Points | The NV RP 20 Year Old Tawny Port Quinta do Bom Retiro is a single-quinta Tawny coming in with 126 grams of residual sugar and a bar-top cork. It was bottled in February 2020. This seems pretty much on track for what the brand normally shows, but it is especially enticing right now. It shows power, depth and spice. There are classic hints of caramel and a fresh feel. That wonderful freshness is what really sells this elegant Tawny and makes it irresistible. It is impeccably balanced. The lift to the fruit gives this some extra juiciness on the bright finish. On opening, it was a bit more ponderous, but it really woke up a couple of days later. This is pricey for a 20 Year, but it is certainly a terrific one. As always, the end-date drinking window is just a placeholder—these are very resistant and age indefinitely if there is no cork problem, although they are ready on release and do not need aging.
Wine & Spirits Magazine 91 Points | From Ramos Pinto’s estate across the river from Pinhão, this wine’s complexity starts from a green tea and dried leaf scent before it fills the mouth with juicy orange and rich oak flavors. It builds from austerity to riches, generous, warm and inviting.
Ramos Pinto 2011 Vintage Port 750ml
Wine Enthusiast 95 Points | This delicately perfumed wine opens to reveal power combined with elegance. The wine has great ripeness—a soft texture on the surface masking the severe tannins at the center.
A fragrant aroma of well ripened fruit; supple and polished tannins give structure and length on the palate, with a rich sweet flavour and crisp mineral freshness. Herbal and dark fruit notes on the aftertaste. Winemaker Description.
Ramos Pinto 30 Year Tawny 750ml Port
Wine Spectator 93 Points | This is alluring, with whiffs of warm date, green tea and walnut backed by juicy fig bread and salted caramel flavors. The racy, focused finish lets a singed juniper note glide through. Drink now.
Wine Enthusiast 94 points | The wonderful old-gold color of this tawny leads into a generous, rich wine that has retained fruits while also showing a woody character that is typical of wines this old. With spice, dried raisins and intense acidity, it is a beautiful wine that deserves to be drunk just by itself.
Wine Advocate 94 Points | The NV RP 30 Year Old Tawny Port comes in with 119 grams per liter of residual sugar and was bottled in 2015. This is the new release. This mingles complexity of flavor with a fresh and surprisingly elegant feel (relative to the category, of course). The finish is very long, complex and persistent, adding new flavors as it lingers. Beautifully constructed and balanced, this is a 30 that starts with a bit of understatement and keeps getting more impressive. It's fun to just smell, but you expect that with long-aged Tawnies. The lift to the fruit and the sunny demeanor aren't always as guaranteed. It has a surprisingly supple and fresh style that I rather appreciated, delivering those old Tawny flavors while also seeming remarkably elegant. Then, it finishes with that big acidity. It was notably better a few days later, no longer seeming quite so understated, particularly in regards to its concentrated flavors and intense aromatics. Note that this comes with a bar top cork. If you're wondering, this is their oldest NV Tawny; Ramos Pinto does not make a 40.
The Ramos-Pinto 30-Year old Tawny is amber colored with orange and garnet tones. The delicate green highlights of the meniscus are characteristic of old cask-aged wines, and illustrate the quality and advanced age of this fine port.
This complex, perfectly balanced port shows rich aromas of dried fruit and vanilla. Agitate the glass and spice aromas of cinnamon and cocoa are liberated. In the mouth, the attack is fresh, fine and delicate. Ripe, dried fruit softly merges with almond and hazelnut, culminating in vanilla flavors which linger gracefully on the palate. Winemaker Description.
Rapaura Springs Sauvignon Blanc 2022 750ml

PointsJames Suckling | A fruity and tropical white with aromas of cut grass, melon, passion fruit and white grapefruit. Medium-bodied, fleshy and fruity with a slight off-dry feel.
PointsRaventos i Blanc Conca Del Riu Anoia Blanc de Blancs 2022 750ml
Blanc de Blancs is a sparkling wine marked by the typicity of its place of origin, the Vinya del Llac, a vineyard over 40 years’ old, which allows us to obtain a structured, fresh and complex sparkling wine.
90 points, Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator: Fresh and focused, with a lacy texture, this is a minerally version overall, showing hints of smoke and stone on the nose, plus a salty underpinning to the palate's range of tangerine, ripe yellow plum, blanched almond and chamomile. Xarel-lo, Macabeu, Parellada and Malvasia de Sitges. Disgorged March 2023. Drink now through 2026. 16,600 cases made, 9,000 cases imported.
Raventos i Blanc Conca Del Riu Anoia De La Finca 2019 750ml
Wine Advocate 93 Points | They look for a more classical expression in the 2019 De la Finca, a selection of vineyards by Pepe Raventós's grandfather, produced in a slightly more oxidative style and aged for 30+ months with lees. 2019 was a very good and "normal" vintage, with good rain, normal yields and a paused harvest. This has more smokiness from the contact with the yeasts and lees with very fine bubbles, subtle, defined by how they prepare the second fermentation in bottle and then the aging in the bottle.
Situated on the highest terraces of the River Anoia, the Vinya dels Fòssils vineyard has marine soils with a high fossil content. This characterises the structure and the soil composition of this vineyard. The carbonates are the component that provides the main source of typicity to this sparkling wine with a high saline expression. It is a sparkling wine with a unique identity and personality. Winemaker Description.
Raventos i Blanc Conca del Riu Anoia de Nit Rose Organic 2022 750ml
Raventos i Blanc De Nit Rose is a benchmark Rose Sparkling wine. The Raventos family commitment to biodynamic agriculture serves as the core philosophy to their winemaking. Fine bubbles with nose of raspberry, red currants and wild strawberries. Crisp and enticing finish. Serve chilled as an Aperitif.
- Oscar Garcia Moncada, 67 Wine Buyer
------------
A Spanish sparkling rose from Raventos i Blanc, made with biodynamically grown grapes from the estate’s vineyards and produced in the style of cava. Made with a Macabeo-driven blend of grapes, this wine has a pale light pink tint – matched on the palate with an elegant bouquet of pink grapefruits, rose petals, red berry fruits and lively acidity.
Decanter 91 Points | Simple nose but very pretty red crunchy fruit and mulberries on the palate. Pleasant acidity and excellent length. Very pretty.Wine & Spirits Magazine 94 points Pepe Raventós adds depth and a touch of color to this estate-grown sparkler with fruit from monastrell vines planted in 1974. That addition lays a smoky note and red-fruit hints over a base of xarel-lo, macabeo and parellada. You could contemplate the narcissus scents, the peach fuzz, the brisk clarity of flavor for hours if you had some oysters, and if you didn’t immediately race through the bottle, as its elegance is hard to resist.
Ravines Dry Riesling Finger Lakes 2021 750ml
Critic Notes
93 Points James Suckling | For an entry-level wine this is a stunner! Wonderful nose of white peach, lemon blossom and jasmine. So succulent, with excellent ripeness and concentration, but nothing flashy or any hint of opulence. The best thing about the wine is the long, very silky finish. And this is properly dry.
Description:
While Ravines makes many wines well, it is their Riesling that consistently draws global attention. The 2021 exhibits watchmaker-like precision with the unmistakable petrol note, baked pastries, orange blossoms, yellow apples and quince. Additional flavors of peach and apricot provide ripe fruit while the laser sharp acidity streaks through the entirety of the wine. Finely tuned between overall richness and drying acidity.
Winery Notes
A combinate of grapes harvested from out Limestone Springs and Sixteen Falls vineyars this Riesling features bright crips flavors of asian pear, white peach, and soft blossom. A delicate current of flint elevates this beautiful and succulent, dry riesling that shows terrific balance and tension from the integrated acidity.
