Thirteen herbs and spices have gone into Dave Fletcher's wonderful Acobia Bitter Vino, which is two more than the Colonel managed for KFC's secret recipe.

Certified organic Arneis was the base for the alcohol into which the herbs were infused. It's full of citrus, cherry cola, and a myriad of other flavours. It has great length and vibrancy, with a full-bodied feel.

Flor De Cana 130th Anniversary Rum - Flor De Cana 130th Anniversary Rum is produced in celebration of its 130th anniversary. Aged for no less than 20 years, the rum delivers notes of toasted hazelnut, dark chocolate, caramel, toasted black pepper, pineapple, baked banana with brown sugar, vanilla, mango bark and treacle. A full bodied and slightly drying rum. This rum is fair trade certified and carbon neutral.

Winemaker Description 

This delicately hued rosé embodies true coastal character with its freshness, vibrancy and marine minerality. Lifted aromas of wild strawberry and rose petal give way to a trio of fresh, sweet and candied ruby grapefruit, underscored with a layer of wet stone minerality.

A welcoming and supple entry reveals hallmark flavors of red grapefruit and a hint of vine-ripened watermelon which echo the wine's charmingly complex aromatics. The palate is taut, neatly framing a latticework of texture and acidity that supports a persistent and mouth-watering finish.

The Pinot Noir grapes for Fog & Light were sourced from estate vineyards in northern Monterey County, where the cool marine fog and brisk winds allow the intricate fruit flavors to develop while preserving crucial acidity. All of the grapes for were meticulously grown on sustainably certified estate vineyards with the use of the best practices in the industry. Our farming and winemaking techniques combine the traditional with modern-day enhancements. Foremost in our thinking is allowing the full expression of the vineyard and the essential character of the variety to shine through in the wine.

Jorjão has an aroma of plums, strawberries and blackberries which complements the intense red coloring.

FLAVOR: Soft and pleasant with silky tannins and balanced acidity. A well-defined grape varietal character.

Bart Hopkins of 67Wine.com writes | A classic dry Lambrusco, made from organically grown grapes from the village of Castelfranco, near Modena. It’s refreshing fizziness is attributed to the ‘Metodo Ancestrale’, today known as Pet Nat. Delicious red fruit richness with an earthy floral complexity that makes it the perfect complement to pizza, cheeses and cured meats.

Folicello Lambrusco Pet Nat is a red sparkling natural wine grown organically in Emilia-Romagna. It's made with the 'Metodo Ancestrale' technique, also known as Pet Nat. Zesty and refreshing with red currant on the nose, crisp palate, ideal to be enjoyed with cured meats.

Bin 27 shares the heritage and style of the great Fonseca Vintage Ports, as well as much of their depth and character. However it is bottled when ready to drink and can be served by the glass directly from the bottle. Blended for consistency of character and quintessentially Fonseca in style, this reserve blend provides reliable and affordable value. 

Deep youthful ruby colour. Intense rich fruity nose crammed with pure blackberry, cassis, cherry and plum aromas interwoven with notes of spice. The palate full bodied and round, with a smooth velvety texture balanced by firm mouth filling tannins. The juicy black fruit flavours linger into the rich luscious finish.

Pale, straw colour. A superb balance of ripe fruit, delicate acidity and elegant notes of wood aging. Full and fruity on the palate this wine has a glorious lingering finish and an attractive, refreshing crispness.In most countries, Ports is traditionally enjoyed at the end of the meal. 

The exception is white Port, especially the drier style which makes an excellent aperitif. It is a blend of classic white Port grape varieties, predominantly Malvasia Fina with smaller proportions of Gouveio, Viosinho, Rabigato and  Arinto, grown on the cooler, higher vineyards of the Douro Valley.

The Wine Advocate 90 Points | The NV 10 Year Old Tawny was bottled in 2013 with a bar top cork. It comes in at 106.7 grams per liter of residual sugar. Some Ports emphasize flavor, others emphasize structure. This starts out with perfect focus, elegant but increasingly intense on the tight finish. Early on, it was all about the structure, with a haze of velvet. The flavors were a bit muted initially, but it unfolded into an elegant and graceful whole with a flavorful finish. Its bright, clean feel always remains as it fleshes out and puts on weight. 

The Wine Spectator 90 Points | Refined, with bright flavors of dried berry, plum compote and cherry tart that are long and lush. Very creamy on the finish, which features chocolate mousse.

The Wine Enthusiast 90 Points | In the full Fonseca style, this aged tawny shows both rich fruit and a more serious wood-aged character. Good acidity follows the sweet initial taste, broadening into ripe flavors of nut, plum jelly, and a final crisp acidity.

Fontodi is located in the heart of Chianti Classico precisely in the valley which lies south of the town of Panzano and is called the "Conca d’Oro" (the golden shell) because of its amphitheatre shape.

A genuine and characteristc "Terroir," famous for centuries for its tradition of quality wine cultivation, thanks to a unique combination of high altitude, calcar clayschist soil, lots of light, and a fantastic micro-climate.

It could be said that Elisabetta Foradori has single-handedly brought the intriguing Teroldego grape back from the brink. She is also one of the key figureheads of Biodynamic production in the Trentino. She is someone deeply attached to her native land and vineyards. 'My memories are here. I’ve known in my mind ever since I was a small girl that the only place I felt well was in nature, maybe because I was born and raised among vineyards.' Today she resides over a beautiful estate of some 26 hectares and produces 160 000 bottles of superb biodynamic wine from various local varieties but her signature wine is Teroldego. 

There are two distinct levels of quality that Elisabetta Foradori has aimed at producing from Teroldego: the first is the ‘Foradori’, marked by the purity, dignity and intensity of the fruit. Soft yet penetrating its sweetness is backed by a supporting acidity that weaves elegantly amongst the fruit. The second, called ‘Granato’ (click through the related products below!) is a wine of greater strength, harmony, depth and nobility. Deep, almost shy on the first nose, it reveals itself as the aromas come into focus: wild berries and candied fruit make way for roasted hazelnuts, baked bread, leather, eucalyptus and pomegranate, then the full robust palate shows plenty of temptingly chewy flesh. Elisabetta shows how this wine can be truly great and exemplifies the true taste of the mountains.

100% Teroldego, from old vines from a 4 hectare vineyard, Campo Rotaliano in Trentino. Aromas of wild berry fruit, leather, forest floor and pomegranate mingle on the nose while the palate is full and robust. A long, evolving finish rounds things off. A fatastic northern Italian red which is in equal parts intriguing and beguiling.

This is soft-textured and round with juicy acidity and masses of mineral-tinged wild berry fruits that cascade throughout. It finishes wildly fresh yet still long and potent, leaving the mouth watering as hints of wild blueberry slowly fade. Winemaker Description

100% Teroldego. Referred to simply as "Foradori" by the Foradori when speaking of their various wines, this is the estate's core red: first bottled by Elisabetta's parents back in 1960 and their largest production today. It comes from 9 hectares of estate vines, planted from 1956 to 2005 on the flat, sunny, well-drained Camp Rotaliano plateau right around the winery.

The soils are a range of alluvial sand and gravel and feature Dolomitic limestone. Older vines are trained traditionally in pergola; younger vines are trained on wires in guyot. The farming is certified-biodynamic. There are 15 separate parcels, all hand-harvested and vinified separately. The bunches are partly destemmed and partly left intact, depending on the vintage; the uncrushed berries and the whole clusters are layered in cement tanks, where they ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and no sulfur. The wine is aged for around a year in well-worn, 20-40-hectoliter botti and bottled without fining or filtration and with a small dose of sulfur.

Bart Hopkins of 67Wine.com writes | Savory, earthy and slightly wild in style, Elisabetta Foradori sculpts one of Italy’s finest natural wines. Luscious dark fruits and violets on the nose pick up some spice and wild herbs on the palate. Medium bodied with good depth of flavor and detailed complexity that winds through the finish with purity and a touch of exotic funk. Works great with vegetarian dishes and is a great match to wild game.

Vinous 90 Points | A blend of fruit from all the sites Rick Rainey works with, the 2022 Dry Riesling Classique is impressively mineral for such an inexpensive wine. Stone, slate and salt—all rendered in the round, forward house style—lend great complexity to the base layer of tropical melon fruit.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely impeccable. Best of all, it won't require years in the cellar to be enjoyable. In fact, it is quite expressive today. Juicy dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice, leather and cinnamon are some of the many notes that flesh out in the glass.

Vinous 96+ Points | The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is silky and elegant, with lovely aromatic presence and impeccable balance. Sweet tobacco, cedar, dried flowers and mint all give this mid-weight Cabernet lovely complexity and nuance. The 2018 has shut down since I tasted it last year, but that is not surprising given the style here. Today, bright acids give the 2018 energy, tension and a good deal of precision. Those qualities should help the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon age well over the coming decades.  Drinking 2028 - 2058.
