Rebecca Gibb MW of Vinous writes | The 2023 Sancerre is filled with elderflower, lime and green aromas. It is a medium-bodied style that's tender and supple from three types of chalky soil in the appellation. The clay-chalk portion of the soil brings volume and body, while the chalkiest soils provide some gentle tension. A spritz hint brings much-needed tension in this gentle acidity year. This is a step up from most 2023s in this high-yielding year.  Drinking 2024 to 2028.

It offers delicate, pure flavors of elderflower and pear. Winemaker Notes:

Aromas of cassis and passionfruit are first to emerge, with guava, crisp pear and white peach adding a delicious intricacy. On the palate, it is generous yet refreshing, with ripe pineapple and a lime sherbet zing, layered with elderflower and hints of citrus blossom. A classic example of Greywacke’s interpretation of the famous Marlborough style - ripe, textural and scruptious, with the volume turned well down. Winemaker Description. 

The nose has floral notes with accents of peach and fresh pear. Light and refreshing on the palate with lots of elegance. Gentle sweetness and a fine acidity gives a nice balance to this Riesling. Pairs perfectly with Asian food, seafood, or just as a delicious sipping wine. Winemaker Description.

Pale yellow color. Medium aromatic intensity on the nose with aromas of spring flowers intertwined with pome fruit, pineapple and banana.A smooth and lively entry on the palate. The mid-palate is marked by the typical acidity of the wine. A fruity and long aftertaste, perfectly balanced, making it an elegant, fine and at the same time cheerful wine.

Best Buy - Wine Enthusiast 90 Points:  This rich and oaky wine offers plenty of butterscotch, ginger and nutmeg flavors on a full body. It’s very concentrated in flavor and balanced to the soft side.

This wine is certified organic, aged in stainless steel and macerates on the skins for about 7 days. It has nice complexity , light-medium bodied, energetic, vibrant with a nice texture.  Fresh, pure, with flavors of stone fruits ,  orange zest and blanched almonds and a nice lingering finish.  Pair with seafood, pasta and vegetables or  simply with cheeses. Alain Chavy produces restrained, structured, and long-lived white Burgundies from 17 acres of vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet, with small holdings in the neighboring villages of Chassagne and Meursault. Stacey Briscoe of the Wine Enthusiast writes 89 Points | Editors' Choice. This bang-for-the-buck Sauvignon Blanc packs a lot of flavor: lemon, lime, green apple, cut grass, chamomile blossom and struck match. The medium body brings with it a smooth texture, creating a roundness that balances out the elevated acidity's sharp edges. Altogether engaging and fun, it's the perfect casual sipper for any occasion. 

This biodynamic wine is bright, pale yellow in the glass offering aromas of minerals, flowers and fresh stone fruits.

Winemaker Notes

Remarkably aromatic with pleasant flower and fruit fragrances. On the palate it reveals a freshness and vivacity that is pure and clean. Citrus, apple and gooseberry aromas with hints of passion fruit are found in this lively and bright wine. An incredible value. Here is an excellent aperitif that is also outstanding with fish, seafood and certain white meats. Enjoy Petit Bourgeois with a halibut steak in lemon butter, a kingfish carpaccio, some grilled white fish or goat cheese. Winemaker Description.

Alder Yarrow of Jancis Robinson 17.5/20 Points |  Pale gold. Smells of slightly resinous lemon peel and lemon curd. Bright lemon-peel and lemon-curd flavours mix with pink grapefruit and toasted bread. Wonderfully saline notes linger with lemon peel in the finish. Crystalline and gorgeous. 

Anna Lee C. Iijima of Decanter 95 Points |  Tasted at the beginning of 2023, a reductive quality was still obscuring bright, penetrating green apple and kiwi flavours with a smoky, earthen veil. Still, it's a gorgeously sleek, richly textured wine with a pulsating core of acidity and salty mineral intensity.

Antonio Galloni of Vinous 91 Points | The 2021 Chardonnay (Sta. Rita Hills) is terrific. Citrus confit, white flowers, almond, chamomile and dried herbs all run through this super-expressive Chardonnay. There's a touch of phenolic intensity, along with a kiss of reduction, that add character. Almost all of this fruit is now estate. 

MaryAnn Worobiec of Wine Spectator 92 Points | Complex and seamless, there's plenty to admire in this white wine. Shows spiced, poached pear, dried apple, grilled lemon and fresh tangerine flavors that are juicy and generous, with details of sage, white pepper and toasted sesame seed on the finish. Drink now.

The wine has aromas of Meyer lemon peel and pith with hints of raw ginger, honey, and green apple all under a cloak of crushed white rock. The texture offers a restrained fleshiness on the mid-palate with a focused and bright saline finish. Winemaker Description.

On the palate the salty and tingly flavors of citrus fruit, orchard fruit intermix for a delightful mouthfeel. The bright acidity keeps the wine fresh and exciting. Lovely salty finish makes this wine perfect to pair with any type of sea-food crudos.

A fresh, lively Txakolina from the Basque Country! It has the signature touch of spritz with lots of bright citrus on the nose, with a mineral taste with just a hint of salinity. Winemaker Description.

The first kosher Gavi di Gavi! This famous Italian wine has clear straw-yellow color with characteristic greenish highlights. Fine bouquet, medium intensity, with an evident note of green apples, delicate hawthorn flower fragrance and a hint of aniseed.

The nose of the 2023 La Crema Sauvignon Blanc shows notes of nectarine, Lime, Melon, and subtle hints of wet stone and flint. On the palate, grapefruit and white peach are accompanied by tropical notes of mango and guava. Barrel fermentation brings volume and texture to the wine while crisp and vibrant acidity drives a juicy lingering finish.

Jeb Dunnuck 90 Points | A brilliant silver/green-tinged hue, the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Sonoma County comes from multiple sites in Alexander Valley, Knights Valley, Dry Creek, and the Russian River Valley and is fermented both in barrel as well as in stainless steel. Aromatic with a fresh, tropical perfume of guava, melon, chive, and grapefruit, it offers an elegant and delicately rounded feel, with a kiss of candied citrus and its floral perfume lasting on the finish.

Mevushal. This wine is a blend of Central Coast and Russian River Chardonnay grapes. This blend has produced a very lush and complex wine. Baron Herzog Chardonnay displays notes of tropical fruit, citrus, and apple, with a hint of vanilla on the finish.

Pale straw with a hint of green and gold. Complex and elegant Sauvignon Blanc bouquet, with citrus blossom and wild flowers, surrounded by crushed ripe herbs and pineapple. Dense fruit core of juicy melon and peach complemented by hints of ripe herbs and florals. Beautifully rounded with layer upon layer of texture, this wine has a long, complex finish with plenty of minerality, citrus, ripe stone fruit and an umami quality.

Jancis Robinson writes great wine is a culmination of lots of careful, little details, and Ogier has built its reputation on being scrupulously attentive to process.

The family has lived in Ampuis, in Côte-Rôtie, for seven generations, and the scion, Stephane, who trained both in Burgundy and at stellar wineries abroad, combines a reverence for tradition, a keen palate, and an understanding that method matters.
 

It doesn’t hurt that the estate has been blessed with rich soils (a mix of limestone and clay), clean a

Stéphane Ogier is one of the most spectacular representatives of the young guard on the northern Rhône. Until 1982, the business set up by his father Michel sold the entire harvest to renowned wineries, mainly to the two big names in the region, Guigal and Chapoutier. Stéphane, who trained in Burgundy, took over responsibility in 1997 and quickly achieved international recognition with remarkably fine, balanced wines and in particular with his single-vineyard bottlings, which are unmistakably shaped by the individual terroir. Since 2014, the wines have been made in the new winery in Ampuis, which can be considered one of the most beautiful wineries in the Rhône.

Lovely nose, intense and floral, reminiscent of Meyer lemon and orchard fruit like pear and apple. The palate is fresh and elegant, intense and mineral, with nicely framed oak and a touch of vanilla; the mouthfeel is creamy and long, with notes of biscuit, pie crust and meringue. Delightful to drink right now but it will continue to develop and last for at least 15 to 20 year.  Winemaker Description.

Sea Sun is a California Chardonnay whose character speaks to the unique coastal regions where it is sourced. Their diverse vineyard sites span several hundred miles, and even subtle differences in temperature and the strength of the wind leave their mark on the grapes.

 The result is a wine that combines some of our favorite characteristics of this varietal, with fruit flavors, oak and acidity in harmony and balance. Both lush and crisp, with scents of lemon zest and flavors of peaches and apricots, this wine suits a wide range of palates. Winemaker Description. 

Jancis Robinson 16/20 Points |  Quite a rich Chardonnay on the nose and then very refreshing on the end before quite a sudden finish. Probably needs a bit more time in bottle. (2022).

Robert Parker |  Simple aromas of white peach and Asian pear flow out of the glass of the 2022 Chardonnay. Medium-bodied, the palate is fresh and clean, offering classic flavors of yellow apples and citrus blossom before ending with an uncomplicated finish. 20,000 bottles of this Chardonnay were produced from Stellenbosch and Elgin fruit, which were left on the lees for seven months before bottling.

Winemaker Ntsiki Biyela has an incredible history as the first female black winemaker in South Africa. Her new label, Aslina, is named in honor of her grandmother. The Chardonnay is a pale straw color and full of lush yellow fruit with minerality and brilliant acidity. Winemaker Description.
