El Tesoro Reposado is a benchmark Highlands tequila from one of Mexico's most storied distilling families — the Camarenas of La Alteña Distillery in the Jalisco Highlands. Crafted from 100% blue Weber agave, slowly crushed by a traditional volcanic stone tahona wheel, and aged 8 to 11 months in American oak barrels — well beyond the two-month legal minimum — this is a Reposado of uncommon depth, texture, and authenticity.

The Volstead Act of 1920 which initiated Prohibition in the USA granted permits to six distillers in Kentucky to continue to bottle bourbon for medicinal purposes. Through one of these permits, Old Forester continued to be produced as medicinal whiskey on Louisville’s famed Whiskey Row. It is the only bourbon continuously sold by the same company that has been available for sale before, during and after Prohibition.

During this time, all whiskies had to be bottled at 100 Proof. With a barrel entry proof of 100, the “angel’s share” would have created a 115 proof whiskey after maturation. To pay homage to this era, Old Forester presents 1920 Prohibition Style Bourbon at 115 proof to represent the rich flavor profile this bourbon had nearly 100 years ago.

Our small batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskeys are offered as a Small Batch, up to 12 barrels per batch, which was the result of one fermenter. The goal of the Small Batch is to capture the total essence of more complex notes from multiple barrels from distillate of the same fermenter. Weve decided to release the Small Batch Bourbon as a Bottled in Bond so fans of our Wheated Single Barrel Bourbon can do a side-by-side comparison.

Our Small Batch release mash bill is 64 percent corn, 24 percent rye and 12 percent malted barley using our yeast strains. We entered the cooper select, toasted and #4 char barrel at 110 proof after coming off the still around 137 proof. All of our whiskeys are aged and matured on our 168-acre campus inside any one of our six rickhouses. We have more than 100,000 barrels aging onsite.

Gin flavored with handpicked juniper berries from its Hamptons estate, cardamom, cumin, coriander, fennel and anise. The most eye-catching detail about this spirit is definitely its trendy pink color, which winemaker and partner Roman Roth gets by using the vineyard's rosé wine as the base for the gin. La Gritona is the passion project of Melly Cardenas, a female distiller working out of a small, fiercely independent distillery (NOM 1533) in the highlands of Jalisco — one of Mexico's most celebrated tequila-producing regions, known for its red volcanic soils and the exceptional quality of its blue agave. Everything about La Gritona is intentional and hands-on: from the agave harvested at peak sugar production and delivered to the ovens within 24 hours of cutting, to the hand-blown recycled glass bottles made by artisans in the Guadalajara neighborhood of Tlaquepaque.

The agave is baked in thick-walled earthen ovens for 24 hours, then rested for another 24 hours before crushing. The collected juice is allowed to ferment naturally — at a rate dictated solely by the surrounding air temperature, with no added yeasts or shortcuts. The fermented liquid is distilled twice, then rested for 8 months in reused American whiskey barrels before filtering and bottling. Every step of production takes place under one roof, overseen by a small team of local staff. Agave remnants are given to local farmers as cattle feed — nothing goes to waste.

The result is a Reposado of genuine character: subtle and distinctive, with the warmth and depth of barrel aging balanced by the bright, vegetal freshness of highland agave. Winemaker Description 

Grape pomace brandy obtained by an infusion of Acquavite di vinaccia Bianca and bitter almond, rounded with distilled cherry juice. It is pale straw yellow in color with golden reflections.

Situated within the picturesque Spey valley, Rothes is home to five distilleries all tucked along the tiny main street - unbeknown to passing visitors. Amongst these is Glenrothes hidden in a small glen on the outskirts of the village. 

Today Glenrothes single malt is used as the heart of Cutty Sark blended whisky. Approaching the distillery your eyes are drawn to the right where the village graveyard stretches up the hill. As whisky matures it evaporates, this is known as 'the angels share.' Feeding off the evaporated whisky is a black sooty fungus, which gives an eerie atmosphere to the place. The blackened grave stones under the shadows of tall trees surrounded by distillery buildings.

Tasting Notes: Toasted malt with fruit aromas, hints of green apples and fresh coconut. A subtle salty sea air is also present. Sweet with floral and fruit flavours, banana, and lemonade with a slight walnut edge.

Wine Enthusiast 93 Points | Grand Marnier-or "GrandMa," as some cocktail geeks gleefully shorthand it-remains one of the classics. Although it's Cognac-based, it's a versatile match for other spirits, too. The liqueur is extremely aromatic, with lots of sweet and bitter orange notes exploding out of the glass. Look for a warm, honeyed flavor and a nice burst of orange peel and spicy cinnamon and ginger on the long finish.
