Delamotte Champagne Rose NV Brut 750ml
Jeb Dunnuck | The NV Champagne Rosé is a blend of 80% Chardonnay and the rest Pinot Noir, with the base of 2019, and 15% still red wine. It pours a salmon/orange-tinged hue and opens in the glass to fresh, floral, pretty aromas of nectarine, salted orange, fresh rose petal, and curry spice. Medium-bodied, it has a wonderful chalky and pithy texture, with a pinpoint mousse that’s almost an afterthought. Ripe with fruit but well-balanced and long, with mouthwatering acidity, its spicier notes (cardamom, perhaps?) start to reveal themselves as it opens, and the wine lasts long on the palate. It is quite distinctive.
PointsJames Suckling | An amber-colored rosé with aromas of cherries, praline, dried flowers and some spiced plums. Gastronomic and flavorful, with a medium to full body and dry, spicy and smoky elements. Tight bubble.
PointsWine Enthusiast | A crisp Champagne veering towards dryness, this is textured, with a touch of red fruits set alongside the citrus flavors. The wine is so fresh, so light and poised. Drink the bottling now.
PointsWine Spectator | This elegant rosé is a pretty wild-salmon hue, with a hint of honey enmeshed with flavors of dried apricot, oyster shell and anise. Lightly juicy and appealing, with a refined finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now.
PointsRobert Parker | The latest release of Delamotte's NV Brut Rosé offers up expressive aromas of red apples, crisp stone fruit, cherries and fresh pastry, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping palate. Comparatively rich and textural for this routinely elegant, fine-boned cuvée, it's more gastronomic than usual.
PointsThe balance between the dominant Pinot Noir and the smaller percentage of Chardonnay in the Delamotte Rosé gives this wine its beautiful pale rose color. The wine has tiny bubbles with strong red fruit aromas and flavors. It is vivacious, supple and round with a hint of acidity.
It makes a wonderful aperitif, as well as a good companion to poultry dishes or red fruit desserts.

Francesc Ricart Cava Brut 750ml
Franck Pascal Champagne Fluence Brut Nature NV 750ml
92 Points Robert Parker | The intensely yellow colored NV Brut Nature Fluence assembles 60% Pinot Meunier and 34% Pinot Noir with 6% Chardonnay. The most recent issue is based on the vintages 2012 (30%) and 2013 (70%) and was disgorged in June 2017. The wine opens with an intense and ripe fruit aroma on the nose that has a lot of Chardonnay features. On the palate, this is a beautifully pure, precise and fine yet very intense Brut Nature with a firm, tight structure and a long and complex finish. A stunning, great Champagne with a mineral finish and lots of pineapple and terroir flavors.
Frapin Grande Champagne Cognac 1270 1er Cru de Cognac 750ml
Jason Wilson writes: Falling between VS and VSOP level, this four- to five-year-old is light golden and simple. It’s fruity on the nose and a little grapey, and on the palate, there’s a lot of creamy vanilla and a touch of spice. Not particularly a cocktail brandy due to its price. It is what it is. - Vinous
This three-year-old bottling from AOC Domfrontais is made from 70% pears and hearkens back to old-school Calvados in the best sense. Light amber in color, the nose is wild and rustic, with earthy aromas of poached pear, pear skin, along with toffee and crème brûlée. In the mouth, there’s great acidity, fresh fruit, along with green, herbal notes, and a pop of fresh fennel on the attractive finish. - Vinous 96
Eye: Beautiful straw yellow color.
Nose: Aromas of vine flower & linden with a touch of vanilla.
Palate: Round, rich, and harmoniously balanced. Fresh, original, with notes of vanilla and toast.
Frapin VIP XO 100% Grande Champagne Cognac 1er Cru 700ml
The Frapin House has been established in the heart of the Grande Champagne region
Distilled with the lees, the XO VIP is then aged at the Domaine in damp cellars for several decades, which will give it all its roundness and suppleness.
The XO VIP decanter was inspired by the encounter between a perfume bottle and an inkwell. A subtle alliance between the elegant perfume of this XO and the love of letters of the House of Frapin, a distant heritage of a prestigious ancestor, François Rabelais.
It comes from the old reserves of the family.
Color: Cognac with golden tones, rich with natural purity.
On the nose it is distinguished by pleasant floral notes and a beautiful aromatic complexity punctuated by subtle woody touches.
An elegant set typical of old Grande Champagne Cognacs.
In the mouth: after the delicate smell, the power in the mouth offers an anthology of flavors, revealing in turn chocolate notes, dried fruits, candied fruits, gingerbread...
The expression is sophisticated, complex, deep, without ever losing the original freshness of the fruit.

James Suckling 90 Points | This is a funky sparkling wine that is 100% gamay. Lots of strawberries. Juicy and fruity with a pretty bubble and delicious finish. 7.5% alcohol. Drink now.
Vinous | Ripe red berries and blood orange on the perfumed nose. Fleshy and broad in style, offering gently sweet raspberry and tangerine flavors and a hint of white pepper that adds spicy cut and lift. Strongly repeats the red berry note on the finish, which lingers with good persistence.
Gamet Champagne RIve Gauche Brut NV 750ml
Audrey Frick writes: (Tasted November 7, 2022) The NV Champagne Rive Gauche Brut is fresh with pure fruit, including peach and red berries, as well as wet stone. The palate is inviting, with a light note of bitter almond on the finish. Although the finish falls off a touch early, the wine is quite pleasurable otherwise. It will be exciting to see where these wines go in the future. Drink over the next 10 years. - Jeb Dunnuck 90

Expert Ratings
Decanter 94 Points | The nose opens with the fresh ripeness of yellow apple and highlights of Granny Smith. It has beautifully subtle autolysis on the palate, deepening into notes of creamy apple crumble, Golden Delicious and Mirabelle plum, while remaining utterly strait-laced. Elegance, length and absolute freshness are inherent and quietly convincing.
Wine Spectator 93 Points | A spine of chiseled acidity structures this vivid, creamy Champagne, which has a minerally underpinning of smoke and brine and flavors of Asian pear, baked pineapple, lemon curd, toasted brioche and roasted almond. Should pair well with grilled fish. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
Jeb Dunnuck 92 Points | With a base from 2018, the NV Champagne Grande Reserve Brut pours a bright straw hue and lifts from the glass with pure and inviting aromas of white peach, fresh flowers, and wet stone. Medium-bodied, with a fresh lift on the palate, a fresh pillowy mousse, and a delicate saline finish, this is a wonderful calling card for the freshness of the house style.
James Suckling 92 Points | This has attractive aromas of apricots, pie crust, raspberries, fresh walnuts and pears, with a hint of white pepper and ginger. Elegant, fine and supple mousse, with a medium body and creamy layers of fresh fruit and pastries. So dry and clean. 45% chardonnay, 45% pinot noir and 10% meunier, based on 2017 vintage with 8% reserve wines. 7g/L dosage. Drink now.
Wine Enthusiast 91 Points | Gosset’s nonvintage cuvée is a fine example of the richness of this producer’s Champagnes. It is full, laden with Pinot texture and a touch of toast from bottle aging. Drink now.

Gruet Brut Rose Sparkling New Mexico 750ml
Tasting Panel | Bright pink color with juicy strawberry nose; dense and fresh with good balance and style. 100% Pinot Noir at 12% ABV.
This nearly garnet-red rosé, like all of Gruet's non-vintage sparkling wines, is aged 24 months en tirage. It has a lovely, bright floral bouquet with hints of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry. On the palate, it is rich and fruity in a dry, brut style. The flavor of berries continues on the palate, revealing more strawberry, raspberry, cherry. Winemaker Description.
H By Hine Fine Champagne Cognac VSOP 750ml
Producer Description
H by Hine is whimsical. If it were a young man, it would have the keen eye of Dick Diver in Fitzgerald’s Tender is the Night. Adventurous, lively and elegant, it is the ideal sidekick for daring cocktails and a flamboyant soloist when served neat with a dash of cold tonic. Expressive yet discreet, its notes of iris, fresh apricot, acacia and white pepper chime with its sprightly and joyful demeanour. Feels like Coachella in a bottle.
H by Hine is a young cognac with a taste for adventure and originality. Serve frozen in a shot glass with sashimi. Or simply over ice with tonic, cider or ginger ale, garnished with a twist of lime, cucumber or rosemary. Add as a surprising twist to a punch when too many friends show up with very little time, or simply drizzle over a fresh peach salad.

Krug Champagne Grande Cuvee Edition 169th 750ml
97 Points James Suckling | This is a layered Champagne with very fine tannins and super beautiful texture and length. Full-bodied with intensity and length. Powerful, austere and tight. Really long and made for the cellar. Vivid.
96 Points Decanter | Soft burnished gold, with a fine and persistent bead. The nose is suitably encyclopaedic, Mirabelle plum, fig and lemon pith and then hints of almond and brioche, the older reserve wines keen to contribute too. Beneath it all steely foundations, an edifice for posterity, not immediately flamboyant but magisterial in its grip and liminal potential. Deft acidity over untroubled waters, with orange groves and a spice market espied from the prow. All is set fair for this voyage. Impressive length.
96+ Points Wine Advocate | Based on the 2013 vintage and complemented by some 40% reserve wines dating back to 2000, Krug's newly released NV Grande Cuvée 169ème Édition is showing very nicely, unfurling in the glass with notes of citrus oil, buttered toast, dried apricot, warm biscuits and marmalade. Medium to full-bodied, deep and incisive, it's a tauter, more chiseled rendition of Grande Cuvée by comparison with the richer, more textural and more demonstrative 168ème Édition (based on the 2012 vintage) that preceded it; but its bright spine of acidity is nicely cloaked in fruit. Concluding with a long and sapid finish, this is a very classically balanced Champagne that will reward bottle age.
96 Points Wine Spectator | A vivid Champagne, with a chiseled frame of acidity and a chalky underpinning cloaked in a fine mousse that caresses the palate with its gossamer-like texture. Lovely aromas of coffee liqueur, anise and verbena accent the layered flavors of tangerine, Macadamia nut, brioche and ripe plum, a profile that expands on the long, mouthwatering finish. There's power and expressive character to this, with a delicacy to its fine integration and length.
95 Points John Gilman | The new release of Krug Grande Cuvée the 169ème Édition is from the base year of 2013 but includes fully forty percent of reserve wines all the way back to the harvest of 2000. The cépages for this new iteration of Grande Cuvée is forty-three percent Pinot Noir thirty-five percent Chardonnay and twenty-two percent Pinot Meunier. The wine is beautifully expressive on the nose wafting from the glass in a complex blend of pear apple a touch of passion fruit chalky soil tones brioche incipient notes of caraway seed just a whisper of buttery oak and lovely floral tones in the upper register from the pinot meunier component in the cépages. On the palate the wine is deep full-bodied complex and racy with a great core zesty acids elegant mousse and a very long very pure and perfectly balanced finish. This is really a stunning new version of Grande Cuvée. It is approachable already but I would be inclined to give it just a few more years in the cellar and let its girdle of acidity relax a bit more so that the wine can deepen and broaden in its palate impression. Fine fine juice.
95 Points Wine Enthusiast | Pinot richness dominates this Champagne. It gives the dense texture as well as the ripe white fruits that show signs of toastiness as they mature. This full-bodied Champagne is ready to drink.
94 Points Vinous | Krug's NV Grande Cuvée 169ème Édition is brisk and finely cut, with terrific energy driving the citrus, floral and light tropical notes. Even with all of its energy, the 169 balances the vibrancy of the late-ripening 2013 vintage it is built on, with the depth that the reserve wines added to the blend. The 169 drinks well now but clearly has the potential to age. The 169 is a blend of 146 separate wines back to 2000.
Jancis Robinson 18.5/20 Points | Deep copper gold. Tiny, tiny bead. Much more obvious acidity, age and (lightly oaky?) savour on the nose than Cristal 2013. Aérien with blossomy notes with a little mandarin. Very marked acidity on the palate. A real wake-up call! Sleek and fresh and truly spring-like with a light yeasty note on the very long finish. The most pleasure to be had initially is in the nose and the finish. The palate is still a bit of shock. This should have a long life. Bone-dry finish and playing the intellectual card. Throbs on the palate with all its vibrancy. Long. Tighter than the 168ème Édition. Structure dominates fruit.
Krug Grande Cuvée is re-created every year, beyond the notion of vintage and is a blend of over 120 individual wines from more than 10 different years. The fullness or flavours and aromas achieved by this careful art of blending would be impossible to express with the wines of a single year. Winemaker Description.
Krug Champagne Millesime 2008 750ml
Winemaker Description
At the House of Krug, every Krug Vintage celebrates the distinct character of a particular year. A Krug Vintage is a blend of the most expressive wines from a single year enhanced by a stay of over ten years in the cellars. Every Krug Vintage is different: it is the Music of the year, captured by Krug.
Krug 2008 is the elegant and intense story of a cool and balanced year, nicknamed “Classic Beauty” by the House’s Tasting Committee members.
The year 2008 was one of Champagne’s coolest in 14 years, and also one of the region’s least sunny in almost half a century. It was a classic northern climate, one that has not been seen much since. Rainfall was normal, the summer was dry, and temperatures were constant throughout the growing season. This absence of extremes resulted in slow and steady grape maturation.
▪ An expressive nose that is rich and ample with patinated aromas of honey, liquorice, menthol, orange peel and grapefruit.
▪ Vivacious, intense and harmonious with great tension on the palate, expressing notes of quince, candied fruits and citrus, yellow kiwi, star fruit, honey, apple tart, butter cookies, orange peel, peony and fennel, with floral and menthol undertones. It has a long, balanced and precise finish with astounding structure.
FOOD & WINE PAIRING INSPIRATION:
▪ Krug 2008 is a beautiful match for oyster tartare with a lobster emulsion, parmesan shortbread, pistachio Chaource in pastry sheets, rabbit terrine with sorrel, tagliatelle with mussels and basil, dishes prepared with aromatic herbs like oregano and thyme or whitefish in a lemon and pepper sauce, as well as desserts that contrast vivacity and roundness such as passionfruit and lemon meringue.

Laherte Freres Champagne Rose de Meunier Extra Brut 750ml
Expert Reviews
Vinous 91 Points | The NV Extra Brut Rosé de Meunier is bright, punchy and super-expressive, with notes of cranberry, blood orange, mint, crushed rocks and dried flowers. Deceptive in its mid-weight feel, the Rosé de Meunier packs a pretty serious punch. The blend is 60% Meunier (white pressed), 30% Meunier with maceration and 10% still red Meunier. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: March, 2023. Drinking 2023 - 2030. - Vinous 91
Robert Parker 91 Points | Disgorged earlier this year (March 2021), the NV Extra-Brut Rosé de Meunier bursts with aromas of red berries, peonies, licorice and spices. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's layered and vinous, with a ripe core of fruit and brisk girdling acids. As usual, it's a blend of 60% direct pressed Pinot Meunier, 30% macerated Pinot Meunier and 10% red Pinot Meunier.
Lanson Champagne Le Rose NV Brut 750ml
James Suckling | Pale salmon-copper hue with notes of strawberries, tangerines, persimmons, bread dough and some chamomile. Lovely freshness and fruitiness, with a medium body and sleek bubbles. Vibrant red and orange fruit throughout. 53% pinot noir, 32% chardonnay and 15% pinot meunier. 7% red wine (pinot noir from Bouzy and Les Riceys and meunier from Vallee de la Marne). Base wine 2017 with 35% reserve wine. 8g/L dosage.
Jeb Dunnuck | Fruity and primary up front, the NV Champagne Le Rose pours a pale salmon with an orange tinge, which they achieve with the addition of 7% red wine from the villages of Bouzy and Les Riceys. Offering attractive aromas of orange zest, nectarine, and white strawberry, it’s medium-bodied and has a rounded mid-palate, with a supple mousse, a juicy and fresh style, and a floral flourish on the finish.
Robert Parker | Based on the 2014 vintage and disgorged in December 2019 with eight grams per liter dosage, Lanson's NV Brut Le Rosé is showing nicely, offering up aromas of peach, crisp orchard fruit, pink grapefruit and warm brioche. Medium to full-bodied, chiseled and incisive, with a racy spine of acidity and a pretty pinpoint mousse, it concludes with a saline finish. This is quite tightly wound out of the gates, and I suspect it possesses a bit of upside.
Wine Spectator | A clean-cut, snappy version with a creamy bead delivering a fine range of peach, toast point, graphite and smoke flavors that expand on the palate. It's lightly honeyed and mouthwatering on the finish. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
Wine & Spirits | This clean, fresh rose presents ripe citrus flavors up front, hinting at tangerine and sweet clementine. Then it turns toward bitter-almond notes in the finish. Built for roast fish.
Since 1760, the house of Lanson has remained family own. Faithful to its heritage, Lanson Champagnes have always been made the original way, offering an exceptional development of flavors while preserving the natural purity of the fruit. This historical commitment makes Lanson wines more fresh, crisp and elegant with a longer ageing potential. Winemaker Description.
