The aromas and flavors are in the baked-apple, pear-drop and table-grape fruit zone, together with a stony note that turns denser and provides a silky, grainy mouthfeel on the fullish-bodied palate. Nicely placed acidity keeps it all fresh and gives a bright fruit and mineral finish.

Straw yellow in color with lemon reflexes, this Pinot Grigio is youthful and lively. In the nose this wine has aromas of citrus, white blossoms, pears, apples and meadow grass.

There is a fresh, crisp minerality and a clear finish.

\Wonderful as an aperitif as well as a wine that pairs well with butter-poached fish, scampi's, and pasta dishes such as pasta primavera.

Tasting Notes: straw yellow color with clean and intense aromas of green apples, pears and citrus fruit such as lemons. Medium-bodied with a soft mouthfeel and well-integrated acidity. On the palate you can also find green apples, lemons and pears. A lovely Aperitif white wine to start off any occasion. It pairs well with fresh cheeses, seafood and white sauce pasta dishes, as well as seafood and poultry.

Oscar Garcia Moncada of 67Wine.com | Typically, Saturday nights are a time to gather with family friends and avoid the chaos of crowded restaurants. As a seasoned New Yorker, I've found solace in hosting tapas-style dinner adventures at home. During a recent Saturday night, I selected the Elena Walch Pinot Grigio Alto Adige DOC to accompany a classic Chicken Waldorf Salad, elegantly served in delicate Bibb lettuce leaves. This salad recipe holds a special element of sentimentality, as I mastered the recipe during my culinary school days. 

The creamy texture and tangy acidity of the salad harmoniously blended with the refreshing green apple and pear flavors found in the Elena Walch Pinot Grigio. To my delight, there was also a subtle hint of stony minerality that added an unexpected layer of complexity to the pairing. 

The combination was an absolute success, as the simplicity of the salad beautifully complemented the well-structured aromas and flavors of the wine. It was an evening filled with delight and satisfaction, reminding me of the joy that can be found in the comfort of home.

Our vineyard yield is very low which is a result of our quest for quality over quantity. Our winemaking philosophy is to emphasize the grape’s pure varietal taste without the masking effects of oak. The climate helps to maintain a balance between acidity and sugar levels and allows the grapes a long slow growing season making our candoni pinot grigio of excellent quality.

Best with a delicious accompaniment to fish seasonal pasta dishes or chicken. It can also stand alone as an aperitif on a hot summer’s day. How to serve pour into ample but not oversized goblets at a temperature of around.
