Our Professional Review

Oscar Garcia Moncada | Senior Wine Buyer | One of my favorite Catalan producers, Bodegas Pinord — whose name translates roughly to “Pines of the North” — is based in Vilafranca del Penedès and was the first winery in Spain to obtain Demeter biodynamic certification. Their Red Bat Priorat, sourced from Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah vineyards in DOQ Priorat, supports local bat preservation efforts — hence the name. This is classic Priorat: rich, powerful, and marked by that unmistakable slate minerality. Expect dark fruit, balsamic notes, herbs, olives, and hints of dark chocolate and espresso. I love pairing it with beef tenderloin in a creamy mushroom sauce. (Oscar's review in 2026).

Oscar Garcia Moncada | Senior Wine Buyer |  At the end of my tour of Spain in September of 2022, I had the pleasure to spend time with Mireia Tetas of Bodegas Pinord in Vilafranca del Penedes, Catalonia, Spain. I was overjoyed with anticipation to visit the facilities of their brand new eco-friendly Winery. As Mireia explained to me, "it is one of the most energy efficient wineries in all of Europe". The entire Winery is equipped with state-of-art solar panels that fuel their need of electricity throughout the multi-level winery. Mireia also gave me a bit of a history lesson by explaining the word Pinord translates from Catalan to English as : "PINES OF THE NORTH". The winery name is a homage to the abundance of pine trees in the region. Pine Trees are a crucial part of the flora in Vilafranca del Penedes. (Oscar's review in 2022).

Bodegas Pinord, also, has the distinction of being one of the first wineries in Spain to receive Demeter Biodynamic certification. Pinord is very proactive in preserving indigenous species of Fauna and Flora, an initiative that has been part of their DNA as wine producers for over 100 years in El Penedes.

Mas Blanc Red Bat Priorat  2021 is a new project that Bodegas Pinord has developed in their Priorat winery of MAS BLANC. Pinord and The World Nature Foundation are working together to help protect the Bat population of the area. Bats are an integral part in maitaining balance in the vineyard's ecosystem. Part of the proceeds of the purchase of Red Bat go directly to The World Nature Foundation.

Mas Blanc Red Bat 2021 is predominantly Garnatxa Negre (local clone of Grenache Noir) with small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Visually the wine shows radiant hues of deep ruby. Aromas and flavors of dark berries, black cherry and warm spices. Medium-bodied with good grip and well-integrated tannins. The finish brings together nuances of espresso, figs and black olives.

Pair this beautiful Red Priorat with thinly sliced Roast beef dressed in a creamy red wine sauce. I had the pleasure to be served this great pairing at a local restaurant in Vilafranca del Penedes.

Winemaker Description

Intense aroma of fresh red fruits, with nuances of blackberry and slight hints of minerals and spices.

Taste: Notable taste of fruits, in good balance with the body of wine. Large concen- tration of soft tannins that give it a pleasant palate.

François & Julien Pinon | Vouvray Blanc Sec — Buvez du Bon Pinon | Loire Valley, France | 2023

François and Julien Pinon are a father-and-son team working exclusively with Chenin Blanc on their 15-hectare estate in the Vallée de Cousse, in the heart of Vouvray. Certified organic by Ecocert since 2003, their work in the vineyard is in complete harmony with nature — a philosophy that translates directly into wines of exceptional purity, energy, and terroir expression.

Vouvray is one of the Loire Valley's most celebrated appellations, producing Chenin Blanc of extraordinary range and longevity. The region's tufa limestone soils and continental climate — tempered by the moderating influence of the Loire River — give Vouvray Chenin Blanc its signature combination of vibrant acidity, mineral precision, and generous aromatic complexity. Chenin Blanc is a grape that flies under the radar, which is baffling given its charming character and remarkable versatility.

The 2023 Buvez du Bon Pinon sports a gorgeous bouquet reminiscent of a walk through an orchard in spring blossom. Aromas of white stone fruits, peach, pear, wildflower honey, and quince emerge from the glass with lively fanfare. On the palate, energetic and effortless with refreshing lift, steely mineral intensity, and beautifully balanced vibrant acidity. The finish is long, tangy, chalky, and utterly delicious. Drink now through 2030.

A wine that adds cheerful accompaniment to roast chicken, grilled seafood, fresh salads, vegetable dishes, goat cheese, and herb-driven cuisine.

Expert Reviews

• Vinous 93 Points | The 2023 Malbec comes from Drummond, Luján de Cuyo and was aged 12 months in French oak, one-third new. It offers clear black fruit — ripe blackberry and plum — over delicate oak and a hint of violet. Dry and slightly compact due to the warm vintage, it carries good black-fruit flavor on the palate. Well executed for the year.
• Oscar Garcia, 67Wine | A full-bodied and expressive Malbec with substance and chewy tannins. Perfect pairing for beef dishes, poultry, or pork.

Winemaker Notes

The aromas of sweet French oak and espresso grow more complex with every swirl, unveiling black plum, ripe raspberry, and violet. Full-bodied, dense, and chewy on the palate with flavors of black raspberry, plums, roasted herbs, and mint — a classic estate-grown Malbec from one of Luján de Cuyo’s most respected producers.

Our Professional Review

Oscar Garcia Moncada, 67Wine Buyer, writes: Raventós i Blanc De Nit Rosé is a benchmark rosé sparkling wine. The Raventós family’s commitment to biodynamic agriculture serves as the core philosophy of their winemaking. Fine bubbles with a nose of raspberry, red currants, and wild strawberries. Crisp and enticing finish. Serve chilled as an aperitif.

A Spanish sparkling rosé made with biodynamically grown estate grapes in the style of Cava. This Macabeo-driven blend has a pale light pink hue — matched on the palate with an elegant bouquet of pink grapefruit, rose petals, red berry fruits, and lively acidity.

Expert Reviews

Wine & Spirits Magazine — 94 Points | Pepe Raventós adds depth and a touch of color with fruit from Monastrell vines planted in 1974. That addition lays a smoky note and red-fruit hints over a base of Xarel·lo, Macabeo, and Parellada. Narcissus scents, peach fuzz, and brisk clarity of flavor — its elegance is hard to resist.

Decanter — 91 Points | Simple nose but very pretty red crunchy fruit and mulberries on the palate. Pleasant acidity and excellent length. Very pretty.

• Producer: Raventós i Blanc
• Appellation: Conca del Riu Anoia, Catalonia, Spain
• Grapes: Macabeo, Xarel·lo, Parellada, Monastrell (1974 vines)
• Farming: Certified biodynamic & organic

One of Rioja's most reliable and beloved Crianzas — Marqués de Cáceres delivers classic Tempranillo character with the polish and consistency that has made this estate a benchmark producer in the appellation for decades. Hand-harvested from old vines in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, aged 12 months in French and American oak, and built for everyday enjoyment at an exceptional price.

Sommelier's Pick

Oscar Garcia, Lead Wine Sommelier, 67Wine.com: "One of Rioja's benchmark Crianzas. A well-rounded red that delivers a solid drinking experience. Aromas of plum compote, cassis and notes of cinnamon and cloves. Medium-bodied with polished and pleasant tannins. Consistent and satisfying finish."

Vineyard & Winemaking

• DOCa Rioja — Tempranillo and other traditional varieties
• Hand-harvested from small, low-yield old vine plots in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa
• Clayey-limestone soils with ferrous subsoil in Rioja Alta; more limestone in Rioja Alavesa
• 12 months in French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels
• Oak distribution: 25% new, 25% second-use, 50% third- to fourth-use — for balance and integration
• Vegan-friendly

The 2021 Vintage

An excellent growing season with 30% more rainfall than average, well-distributed across the year. A warm February brought consistent bud break, while a warm and slightly humid May supported healthy early growth. A 10-week period of showers with ideal temperatures through summer ensured slow, even ripening — resulting in fresh, well-structured fruit with natural acidity and balance.

Tasting Profile

Deep ruby with a garnet rim. The nose offers inviting aromas of plum compote, cassis, cinnamon, and cloves with a subtle vanilla oak lift. On the palate it's medium-bodied with polished, approachable tannins, bright acidity, and a consistent, satisfying finish. Classic Rioja Crianza — honest, food-friendly, and endlessly drinkable.

Perfect Pairings

Serve at 62–65°F with beef stew, lamb chops, roasted chicken, paella, shrimp fried rice, or a simple charcuterie board. A versatile everyday red that punches well above its price point.

Our Professional Review

Rand Sieger, 67Wine Buyer, writes: Only 7.5% alcohol. This is about as good as a Mosel Riesling under $20 can be. Rarely do you find a Spätlese of this quality for such a low price. Classic Mosel with bright white currant fruit, clover honey, and an energetic undercurrent of lime zest and slaty minerality. It really explodes on the palate with juicy, mouthwatering fruit and the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.

Try this paired with breaded, deep-fried button mushrooms dipped in tartar sauce. The combination will make you smile.

Winemaker Description

The Rauen family in the Mosel has been growing grapes for many generations but began bottling their own wine only in 1983. When Harald Rauen took the reins from his father more than 30 years ago, the first thing he did with their vineyards in the slate-rich soils of Detzem and Thornich was to reduce yields to concentrate on quality over bulk. The result is a line of classically clean and elegant Rieslings. His Spätlese is light-bodied and zesty, just a touch sweet, with notes of apricot, lime, and flint.

La Gritona | Reposado | 100% Blue Agave | Jalisco Highlands, Mexico | NOM 1533

67Wine Staff Pick — Oscar Garcia Moncada: One of my favorite sipping Reposado Tequilas on the market. Subtle notes of citrus with cooked nopales. Great for sipping or mixed in your favorite cocktails.

La Gritona is the passion project of Melly Cardenas, a female distiller working out of a small, fiercely independent distillery (NOM 1533) in the highlands of Jalisco — one of Mexico's most celebrated tequila-producing regions, known for its red volcanic soils and the exceptional quality of its blue agave. Everything about La Gritona is intentional and hands-on: from the agave harvested at peak sugar production and delivered to the ovens within 24 hours of cutting, to the hand-blown recycled glass bottles made by artisans in the Guadalajara neighborhood of Tlaquepaque.

The agave is baked in thick-walled earthen ovens for 24 hours, then rested for another 24 hours before crushing. The collected juice is allowed to ferment naturally — at a rate dictated solely by the surrounding air temperature, with no added yeasts or shortcuts. The fermented liquid is distilled twice, then rested for 8 months in reused American whiskey barrels before filtering and bottling. Every step of production takes place under one roof, overseen by a small team of local staff. Agave remnants are given to local farmers as cattle feed — nothing goes to waste.

The result is a Reposado of genuine character: subtle and distinctive, with the warmth and depth of barrel aging balanced by the bright, vegetal freshness of highland agave. The nose offers cooked agave, citrus peel and a whisper of vanilla and oak. The palate is smooth and approachable, with flavors of roasted agave, nopales, citrus and gentle spice, leading to a clean, lingering finish. Exceptional for sipping neat or on the rocks, and equally at home in a premium cocktail.

• Producer: La Gritona (Melly Cardenas)
• NOM: 1533
• Style: Reposado Tequila
• Agave: 100% Blue Weber Agave
• Region: Jalisco Highlands, Mexico
• Cooking: Earthen ovens, 24 hours
• Fermentation: Natural, open-air
• Distillation: Double distilled
• Aging: 8 months in reused American whiskey barrels
• Bottle: Hand-blown recycled glass
• Bottle Size: 750ml

Arnaldo Caprai · Grecante Grechetto dei Colli Martani · Umbria · 2024

The family operation began in 1971 when textiles entrepreneur Arnaldo Caprai purchased 12.5 acres in Montefalco. In 1988, ownership passed on to Arnaldo's son, Marco. Today, the winery is the leading producer of top quality Umbrian wine, recognized for its dedication to environmental, economic and social sustainability, as well as being champions for the wines of Umbria.

This Umbrian white from Arnaldo Caprai captures a true expression of Grechetto from this lesser known Italian region. Appealing aromatics of white peach, melon, lemon zest, hints of chamomile and honey characteristics all tantalize the palate. This Grechetto is light to medium bodied, pure, fresh, savory and finely balanced.

Staff Pick

Flavors of stone fruits, lemon-lime, blanched almonds, and stonines shine thru on the palate, ending with zesty acidity and a bone dry finish.

Cheese Pairing

Recommended: Essex Street / G. Cravero 'Parmigiano Reggiano' 2 yrs — available at 67Gourmet

All too often in America, we think of Parmigiano Reggiano as a topping for pasta, but truly great iterations of this cheese are wonderful eaten on its own or with a superb Italian wine. The Cravero family has been aging Reggiano since 1851, and their cheese is unique among all other Parmigiano. It has distinct tropical fruit and pineapple overtones in the middle of the palate which turn the salty finish into a harmonious counterpoint. One taste of this and you'll see why Reggiano is widely considered the king of all cheese.

In the heart of the Penedès, the Canals family has been crafting Cava with the quiet focus of a house that has nothing to prove. The Reserva Numerada is their flagship expression: a blend of Xarel·lo, Macabeu, and Parellada — the three indigenous varieties that define the appellation — fermented in bottle via traditional method and aged on the lees for a full 24 months. The result is a Cava of genuine complexity, one that bears its accolades without surprise. This is also an organic transition wine, farmed with care in the vineyard before the glass.

The 2021 pours a bright, luminous straw with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is delicate and layered: citrus fruit — lemon, tangerine, orange peel — opens to orchard notes of green apple and ripe pear, with a whisper of brioche and subtle minerality from the extended lees aging. On the palate it is crisp and dry, with white peach, lime, and a pleasant bready character that adds texture without weight. The finish is refreshing, vibrant, and long. An exceptional value in serious sparkling wine.

Matchbook Petit Verdot · Dunnigan Hills · 2022

Matchbook's Estate Bottled Petit Verdot draws on the long growing season in California's Dunnigan Hills. The existing winemaker description points to plum, prune, blueberry and vanilla, followed by tobacco, mocha, cream cola and rhubarb. A lingering, dusty finish gives this hearty red a place beside a substantial dinner.

Our own Rand Sieger finds lavender, clove and sweet pipe tobacco on the nose, with blueberry, cola, chocolate, anise and fig on a palate that starts with grip and finishes silky. Pour it with lamb shank, roast pork or aged cheese.

Our professional review

Rand Sieger, 67Wine.com — The wine opens with beautiful aromas of lavender, clove and sweet pipe tobacco. The flavors are a bold, complex mix of blueberry, cola, chocolate, anise and fig. The texture is thick with a nice grip of tannins up front that mellow to a silky smoothness in the finish.

Expert review

Wine Enthusiast, 91 Points — This full-bodied wine stands out for its potent aroma of blackberry jam and its lush and concentrated yet incredibly fresh dark-berry flavor. It's big and flavorful, ready to drink with your choice of rich proteins.

Winemaker description

Matchbook Estate Bottled Petit Verdot showcases the advantage of the Dunnigan Hills appellation's long growing season: the varietal characteristics of deep, rich flavors develop fully when allowed to slowly ripen well into the fall. The long, giving aromas of plum, prune, blueberry and vanilla show up in the mouth-filling flavors. An earthy note of tobacco mixed with flavors of mocha, cream cola and rhubarb adds complexity. The lingering, dusty finish hangs on the palate. Pair this hearty red with aged cheese, lamb shank or roasted pork loin.

Carl Loewen · Estate Riesling · Liewener Klostergarten · Mosel · Germany · 2022

Christopher Loewen is one of the Mosel’s most quietly celebrated winemakers — a craftsman who farms organically, ferments with native yeasts in large Fuder casks without temperature control, and lets each wine find its own expression. The Estate Riesling comes entirely from the Liewener Klostergarten, a site with richer soils than Loewen’s steep single-vineyard parcels, formerly bottled as a Kabinett and now declassified to “Estate” to preserve the single-vineyard designation for the estate’s highest-quality expressions. Whole-cluster pressed, fermented spontaneously, and stopped by taste — this is Riesling made with the patience and instinct of a true artisan.

The 2022 is dry-styled, rustic, and deeply approachable — a wine of beautiful complexity and mouth-filling texture born from Fuder aging and spontaneous fermentation. Yellow stone fruit, pear, and spiced citrus are underscored by a pleasingly savory salinity. At once mineral and generous, it is the kind of Riesling that rewards attention and rewards the table equally.

“A dry-styled Riesling that is at once rustic and approachable. Rockstar winemaker Christopher Loewen raises this wine in large Fuder casks, using spontaneous fermentation. This gives the wine a beautiful complexity and mouth-filling texture. A mix of yellow stone fruit, pear, and spiced citrus is underscored by a pleasingly savory salinity.”

Ferme de La Tremblaye Camembert Fermier — Yvelines, France

Ferme de La Tremblaye is a working farm in the Yvelines department of Île-de-France, producing one of the most authentic Camemberts available outside of Normandy. This is a true fermier — a farmhouse Camembert made with raw or lightly pasteurized milk from the farm’s own herd, shaped by hand, and aged with the kind of care that industrial producers simply cannot replicate. The result is a Camembert of rare depth and character: dense, funky, and deeply savory, with none of the bland, rubbery texture of supermarket versions. Our French customers — a discerning crowd — call it the best Camembert on this side of the ocean. We’re not inclined to disagree.

The aroma is boldly fungal and earthy. On the palate, dense mushroom and forest floor notes give way to distinctive roasted root vegetable flavors and a robust, endive-like bitterness on the finish. Rich, complex, and unapologetically savory — this is Camembert for people who know what Camembert is supposed to taste like.

“Is this the best Camembert available on this side of the ocean? That’s what our legion of French customers say, and who are we to disagree? Dense fungal overtones are followed by distinctive reminiscences of roasted root vegetables and a robust, endive-like finish. Put another way, it’s savory cheese bliss.” — Martin Johnson, Cheesemonger | 67 Gourmet

Expert Description

Bart Hopkins writes: Ampeleia Estate Unlitro is a light, earthy, natural blend of Alicante (Grenache), Mourvedre, Carignano, Sangiovese and Alicante Bouschet from the Tuscan Coast made by Biodynamic wine grower Elisabetta Foradori. The Ampeleia Estate consists of 150 hectares of which 35 are planted to vines and the remainder to wheat, legumes, vegetables, olive groves, woodlands and animals. This vivacious red, which boasts a modest 12% alcohol, sees no oak during production, keeping it agile, light on its feet and almost too easily quaffable.

Aromas of forest flowers, strawberry blossoms, earthy blood plums and delicate spices open up on the nose with crisp, peppery fruit refreshing the palate complimented by invigorating acidity and gentle tannins on the finish.

Not a trace of heaviness, just a pure, natural expression of organic grape growing and harmonious winemaking done with lots of love.

Serve chilled, pour generously, and pair it with just about anything!

Expert Review - Vintage 2024

Winemaker's Description

To bring on the table a one-litre flask is an ancient tradition, and a symbol of conviviality. Hence the name Unlitro, a bottle whose shape and size recall the joy and carefreeness of being together.

This is a wine that comes from our youngest vineyard, the closest to the sea; from a blend of Alicante Nero, Mourvèdre, Sangiovese and Alicante Bouschet. It's a wine that testifies to our desire to express the territory in a more gentle and immediate way, without losing the character of a classic Tuscan wine.

But Unlitro is more than that: it is also a project created to bring together the forces of Tuscan winemakers closest to the values of Ampeleia and support them in the development of organic methods which combines respect and quality.

The name “Herrgottsacker” is probably derived from the word “Gottesacker” (which is a former word for cementery) andThis interpretation from Kimich, a small, traditional, 8th generation estate, is an absurd value in the liter bottle (33% more wine)!

Granbazán Albariño Etiqueta Ámbar — Rías Baixas, Galicia 2024

Granbazán is one of the founding estates of modern Rías Baixas, pioneering the region's reputation for world-class Albariño since the late 1980s. The Etiqueta Ámbar — the Amber Label — is their most celebrated wine, famously served by the glass at El Bulli for many years and the wine that put Granbazán on the international map in the 1990s. Sourced from a blend of estate fruit and grapes from long-established family growers in the Salnés Valley, it receives more active bâtonnage and extended lees aging than most Albariños, adding a richness and textural depth that sets it apart from the category. Winemaker Diego Ríos, who trained in the Mosel Valley working with Riesling, brings a precision and mineral focus that is unmistakably his own.

The nose is classic and inviting: ripe peach, citrus, and white blossom with a signature salty, briny minerality that speaks directly to the Atlantic coast. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and sappy with beautiful lees-derived texture, layered fruit, and a long, tapering finish of saline freshness. A wine with genuine aging potential — and the structure to prove it.

Jeb Dunnuck 93 Points — "The most famous of this estate's wines, served by the glass at El Bulli for many years. It has richness and length in the form of medium-bodied peach and salty brine and should do well in the bottle another 5-7 years." (Vintage 2024).

Tim Atkin 93 Points — "A classic, salty, lip-smacking Val do Salnés Albariño. Sappy, layered and refreshing, it has some texture from lees-ageing and a tapering finish. 2025–29." (Vintage 2024).

Le Sughere di Frassinello Maremma Toscana — Tuscany 2022

Le Sughere di Frassinello is the flagship red of the Frassinello estate — a joint venture between Rocca di Frassinello and the Castellare di Castellina family on Tuscany’s wild, sun-drenched Maremma coast. Blending Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon from coastal vineyards where the Mediterranean influence tempers the heat and concentrates flavor, this is a Super Tuscan that delivers serious complexity without sacrificing drinkability. James Suckling awarded it 91 points; Vinous 90. At under $27, it is one of the most compelling values in coastal Tuscan wine.

Deep ruby in color. The nose is broad and expressive: ripe dark berries, plum skin, blueberry jam, dried orange, blue flowers, and cedar. On the palate, it is juicy and tense, with firm, ripe tannins, impressive fruit concentration, and a long, enveloping finish of black cherry and spice. It delivers the bold, coastal personality that only great Maremma Sangiovese can — and will reward another 5–8 years in the cellar.

James Suckling 91 — “Aromas of ripe dark berries, plum skin and blueberry jam with hints of blue flowers, dried oranges, spices and cedar. Juicy and tense on the palate, with firm tannins and impressive fruit concentration. Succulent and easy to drink.” (Vintage 2022).

Vinous 90 — “Bold, racy and super-expressive right out of the gate. Black cherry, spice, leather and a kiss of French oak open first. This aromatic, inviting coastal red has so much to offer in its engaging personality.” (Vintage 2022).

Bart, 67Wine Buyer — “This beautifully crafted Super Tuscan will impress everyone at the table with its succulent fruit, plush texture, and savory complexity.”

Bodegas Perica · Rioja Alta · Spain · 2012

In Rioja, Gran Reserva is not a marketing term — it is a commitment. A minimum of 28 to 30 months in Bordelaise barriques, followed by at least 36 months of bottle aging before release. Bodegas Perica Viña Olagosa Gran Reserva honors that tradition fully: a family project rooted in Rioja Alta, drawing Tempranillo from the Viña Olagosa estate in San Asensio and Garnacha and Mazuelo from the Zaco estate in Haro, blended with the kind of patience and craft that only a multigenerational producer can sustain.

The nose is intense and complex — vanilla, cedar, tobacco, and leather, the unmistakable signature of long oak aging done well. On the palate it is medium-bodied and beautifully composed, with polished, aged tannins, notes of espresso and dark spice, and an elegant, lingering finish that speaks of both time and terroir.

Oscar Garcia Moncada, 67Wine Buyer | “Ruby color with copper rim; on the nose intense and complex: vanilla, cedar, and tobacco. Medium-bodied with polished aged tannins and espresso and more tobacco notes. Very elegant finish. For sure one of my top Gran Reservas to drink now!”

Grenache and Syrah are co-harvested and co-fermented with indigenous yeasts. Gentle extraction and six months in stainless steel preserve freshness and fruit. The estate is certified organic by Ecocert and biodynamic by Demeter.

Descendientes de José Palacios | Pétalos | Bierzo DO | Castilla y León, Spain | 2021

Before Mencía became the darling of Northwestern Spain, Pétalos was already making waves. Descendientes de José Palacios — the project of Álvaro Palacios and his nephew Ricardo Pérez Palacios — has been the defining force in Bierzo’s modern renaissance, farming old-vine Mencía on ancient slate soils with biodynamic and organic principles. Pétalos is their entry wine, but it carries the full weight of the estate’s philosophy: precision, transparency, and a deep sense of place.

The 2021 is widely regarded as the finest vintage of the 2020–2022 trio. Lower alcohol than ever (13.5%), it shows a lighter, more delineated profile with the juicy, aromatic Mencía character that defines the appellation. The nose is enticing: red berries, violets, wild herbs, white pepper, and a whisper of agave. On the palate, a velvety mouthfeel and very fine, chalky tannins frame nimble red fruit with elegant structure and a long, gourmand finish. Approachable now and drinking beautifully through 2029. 320,000 bottles and 2,567 magnums produced.

Before the Mencia grape became the darling of Northwestern Spain, Petalos was already making waves. A beautifully tailored wine. Enticing aromas of red berries with underlying whiffs of violets. Poised and well integrated flavors.
