Alamos Malbec Mendoza 2024 750ml
Alamos Malbec Mendoza 2024 — Mendoza, Argentina
Alamos is the approachable, everyday label from Catena Zapata — Argentina’s most celebrated wine family and the producer widely credited with putting Mendoza Malbec on the world map. While Catena’s flagship wines command serious prices, Alamos was created to deliver the same Andean terroir and winemaking philosophy at an accessible price point. Sourced from high-altitude Mendoza vineyards where the combination of intense sunlight, cool nights, and mineral-rich soils produces Malbec of exceptional depth and character.
The 2024 shows a deep ruby color with violet hues. The nose offers layers of dark cherry, blackberry, violet, and vanilla spice. On the palate, the wine is velvety and expansive, with balanced tannins and a long, smooth, lingering finish — complex and approachable in equal measure.

Limited Time Offer: Buy 6 bottles and get 1 bottle for just 1 cent. Please add 7 bottles to your cart to receive the offer.
Our project Avenida 67 is back after a few years of hiatus.
This time, we’ve teamed up with one of the most iconic Argentine winegrowing families — the Benegas-Lynch family. Fifth-generation producers in Mendoza, Argentina, their legacy is deeply rooted in the cradle of Argentine winemaking.
Avenida 67 was the first label I ever created for 67 Wine, so it carries tremendous sentimental value. Working with Tiburcio Benegas, who currently leads operations at Bodegas Benegas, has been an absolute pleasure. Tiburcio is a man of many talents, and preserving his family’s legacy is among his greatest passions.
Avenida 67 Malbec is crafted from 100% estate-grown grapes sourced from the Benegas-Lynch vineyards in Mendoza.

Vina Cobos Felino Malbec Mendoza 2024 750ml
Viña Cobos | Felino | Malbec | Mendoza | 2024
Jeb Dunnuck: 94 Points — Juicy in a tantalizing combination of red and blue fruit, the tannins are soft and supple in texture and grip. The fruit is focused and ripe, fully developed, and dark and brooding in color. There’s structure to the tannins and moderate acidity, providing a foundation for the beautifully juicy red fruit and light spice. Drink now and for another 10 years.
James Suckling: 93 Points — Abundant bramble fruit on the nose, layered with espresso and a touch of red berries. The palate is round and medium- to full-bodied, well-constructed with velvety, integrated tannins and a chiseled, flavorful finish. Drink now or hold.
Vinous: 92 Points — Bright red fruit, hints of black fruit and a balsamic spice accent. Grippy, plush and juicy, with improved length compared to previous vintages.
Viña Cobos was founded by Paul Hobbs, one of California's most celebrated winemakers, who recognized Mendoza's extraordinary potential for world-class Malbec long before the region's international rise. The Felino line is the estate's benchmark of accessible excellence — sourced from premium vineyards across Mendoza's two most prestigious appellations, Valle de Uco and Luján de Cuyo, and crafted with the same precision and attention to terroir that defines the Cobos flagship wines.
The 2024 Felino is sourced 65% from Valle de Uco and 35% from Luján de Cuyo, and aged nine months in small French oak barriques with only 8% new oak — a restrained approach that preserves the vibrancy and freshness of the fruit while adding subtle complexity and texture. The result is a Malbec that is immediately expressive yet structured enough to develop further in the bottle over the next decade.
Deep ruby with vibrant purple tones, the wine opens with aromas of black cherry, blueberry, fresh plum and violets, accented by notes of espresso, bramble, balsamic spice and a whisper of graphite. The palate is round, juicy and beautifully balanced — ripe red and blue fruit flavors are supported by soft, supple tannins, moderate acidity and a long, chiseled finish with hints of herbs and dark spice.
Serve at 60–65°F. Pairs beautifully with grilled steak, lamb chops, beef empanadas, roasted meats, rich pasta dishes, BBQ ribs, aged cheddar, Manchego and dark chocolate.

Catena Malbec Classic Mendoza 2024 750ml
Catena Malbec — Mendoza, Argentina 2024
Bodega Catena Zapata has been the defining force in Argentine fine wine for decades — a trailblazer in high-altitude viticulture since the 1990s, farming vineyards up to 5,000 feet in the Andes foothills where cooler temperatures, intense UV radiation, and dramatic diurnal temperature swings produce Malbec of uncommon elegance, depth, and freshness. The Catena Malbec is the house’s benchmark expression: a wine that has introduced generations of drinkers to the world-class potential of Mendoza Malbec, earning 93 points from the Wine Advocate (prior vintage) and consistently delivering far more than its price suggests.
The color is deep ruby-violet with brilliant clarity. The nose is expressive and inviting: dark plum, blackberry, violet, turned earth, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is juicy and precise — vibrant acidity and a savory, sturdy core frame the dark fruit, with a high-toned, lingering finish of earthy depth and freshness. Elegant, fruit-forward, and endlessly food-friendly.
Vinous: 92 Points | The 2024 Malbec is sourced from Mendoza. This is the ABC of provincial Malbec: expressive red fruit, a touch of fresh plum, a faint balsamic note and violets. It is juicy and agile with integrated freshness. Compared with the previous vintage, the 2024 release is slightly slimmer and more lithe. (Vintage 2024).
James Suckling 92 Points | Red berries, cherries, minerals and hibiscus on the nose with a very juicy, medium-bodied palate and fresh veins of tannins. The elegant, medium-long finish is vibrant and full of good pristine fruit. Drink now. (Vintage 2024).

Zuccardi Aluvional Paraje Altamira Malbec 2020 750ml
Wine Advocate 97 Points | The 2020 Aluvional Gualtallary is more floral and expressive, a little more exuberant than the 2019 I tasted next to it. In 2020, they harvested some 10 days earlier than in 2019 (they started in February!), and the wines finished with similar alcohol levels (14%) and even with a slightly lower pH and higher acidity in 2020, so with very good freshness. They fermented with some 30% to 50% of stems in the vinification (they use grapes from three different vineyards that are vinified separately, all in the Monasterio part of Gualtallary) and matured the wine in concrete. This is very young, and the palate reveals the inner notes of thyme and rockrose, the violets and the small berries. The texture is akin to liquid chalk, a mineral and austere wine, with very fine tannins and a long, dry finish.

Paraje Altamira Principio Malbec Single Vineyard Valle de Uco 2024 750ml
La Igriega Paraje Altamira Principio Malbec Single Vineyard Valle de Uco 2024
La Igriega — Spanish for the letter "Y," meaning "and" in English — takes its name from the genetic structure at the heart of this project: the union of place, variety, and vision. This is a single-vineyard Malbec from Paraje Altamira, one of the most coveted and celebrated sub-appellations within the Valle de Uco in Mendoza. Situated at high altitude on ancient alluvial soils with a high proportion of limestone and clay, Paraje Altamira produces Malbecs of extraordinary precision, verticality, and aromatic complexity — wines that stand apart from the richer, more opulent styles found elsewhere in Argentina.
The 2024 vintage showcases everything that makes this terroir exceptional. Cool blue fruit, stemmy herbs, and fine-grained tannins give the wine a more vertical, structured character than most of the appellation — elegant rather than plush, with a freshness and mineral tension that speaks directly of the high-altitude vineyard site.
Deep ruby in the glass, the wine opens with ripe aromas of cool blue fruit, fresh mulberries, dark cherries, lavender, and stemmy herbs. The palate delivers intense red fruit — sour cherry, fresh plum, a hint of herbs — with smooth, slightly plush texture, soft chalk, and a juicy, clean finish. Al dente dark fruit and fine-grained tannins carry through to a long, focused close. A single-vineyard Malbec of real character and exceptional value.
James Suckling — 93 pts
“Ripe aromas of cool blue fruit, stemmy herbs, fresh mulberries, lavender and dark cherries. Medium-bodied with al dente dark fruit and fine-grained tannins. A bit more vertical than most of the appellation’s wines, with good length and tannins.” (Vintage 2024).

Benegas Esate Wine Don Tiburcio Malbec Mendoza 2021
Winemaker Description
In terms of quality and price, this is arguably the best 'Bordeaux blend' in our portfolio, made by a winemaker who is passionate about the wines of his French cousins but still proudly Argentine. 50% Malbec, 20% Cab Franc, 20% Cab Sauv, 5% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot.
A nose of black fruits, spices, white pepper, clove, cardamon, eucalyptus, thyme and rosemary - complex in other words, with a fantastic finish.
Federico Benegas Lynch was raised at ‘El Trapiche’, a winery established in 1883 by his great, great grandfather, Don Tiburcio Benegas, one of the original pioneers of Argentine wine. The winery was finally sold in the 1970s and in 1998, following a successful business career in Buenos Aires, Federico returned to Mendoza to re-kindle his lifelong passion and professional destiny, wine. He bought Finca La Libertad, an historic 40-hectare vineyard with ‘soils’ of stone on the old Upper Mendoza riverbank in Cruz de Piedra, and the old winery that belonged to his mother’s family which he quickly set about refurbishing. His idea was based on the traditional French Châteaux system, where proprietorship of vineyard and winery are inextricably linked.
