Producer Description 

To sip Barrel Proof is to experience Bourbon in its purest form: uncut, straight from the barrel, and without chill filtering. Each bottle is hand labeled with its unique proof and batch number; but the nose, taste, and finish are pure Elijah Craig.

Deep amber.  Caramel with toasted oak, fruit notes of apple and orange. Rich vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch along with spices of black pepper & cinnamon at the back of the palate nicely layered showcasing all flavors, fades slowly then lingers as it cools.

Each batch of Barrel Proof is bottled with a unique age statement, including the month and year of the youngest barrel from the batch. The proof also varies with each release.

The batch number on the label provides specific information about each batch. The first letter indicates the order of the release for that year, starting with "A.” The first number represents the month of the release. The third and fourth digits indicate the year.

Made in homage to one of bourbon's original aristocrats, W.L. Weller 12 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon continues to be crafted using Weller's wheated bourbon recipe. Aged for a minimum of 12 years, far longer than most wheated bourbons. This whiskey features aromas of creamy vanilla, caramel and molasses that gives way to notes of candied corn, ripe fruits, cocoa powder and dried fruits on the palate. With a finish, which is elegant and soft, has hints of mint, fruit and vanilla this wheated bourbon is not to be overlooked. W.L. OCEAN Voyage 28 made another long run off the Baja Peninsula, through the Tropic of Cancer and down the coast of Central America. The air was hot and heavy with moisture. Rain would have been a relief but it never came.

Our transit back through the Panama Canal was swift and smooth and while it remained hot and sticky, our final days through the Caribbean and up the Atlantic coast were smooth and clear.

The humidity, dramatic swings in temperature and ever-changing sea conditions had the effect of bringing balance and richness to the complex array of flavors and tastes you will find in OCEAN Voyage 28.

This Kentucky Bourbon pays tribute to the earliest days of the Distillery's history when in 1939 it released Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond. The namesake brand quickly became the number-one-selling Bourbon whiskey in the state of Kentucky. Still today, the craftsmanship poured into this bottle by the same founding family meets the exacting standards first set forth in the Bottled-in-Bond act of 1897.

Golden amber in color with warm notes of vanilla, honey, and a rich caramel sweetness on the nose. Smooth, warm and sweet with a subtle rye spice note; caramel and honey mingle with just enough oak and char to round out the richness. Long and lingering on the finish.
