Pares Balta Grosella Sumoll 2021 Organic 750ml
Winemaker Description
With this new wine from Sumoll, Grosella, we return to our origins.
By recovering little-cultivated varieties, we want to pay homage to that ancestral agriculture, which was practiced in the past, and which at Parés Baltà we have never forgotten.
The large grain Sumoll has surprised us on how it exhibits its intense aromas with bright colors and mallow nuances.
It has a very fruity pulp with thick and tinted skins, it shows all its splendor in a fresh and attractive wine.
“Red cherry and light raspberry, rooibos, fresh peppercorn, light herbal notes of thyme, quite fresh overall, good deal of talc mineral notes. Decently chewy on the palate with good red fruit and light blackberry notes, fresh and crisp. While this is Sumoll, it’s from the ‘gra gros’ clone or larger-berried variant.”Miquel Hudin, journalist
VARIETIES
Sumoll grown organically and biodynamically in our vineyards in the Penedès.
WINEMAKING

Parker's Heritage Collection aged 10yrs Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey Cask Strength 128.8 Proof 750ml
Producer Description
Each year as part of the Parker's Heritage Collection, we select a special whiskey to be released in the name of our late Master Distiller Parker Beam. The barrels selected for this series include Bourbon, Rye, and Wheat Whiskeys, among others, and are some of the finest and most diverse American Whiskeys ever produced. They are a fitting tribute to the expertise of Parker Beam.
The 17th edition of the Parker’s Heritage Collection consists of 10-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey pulled from 142 barrels. For this release, we used our traditional rye mashbill of 51% rye, 35% corn and 14% malted barley. It was barreled in August, October or December of 2012 and aged on the first floor of Rickhouse H1 and H2, the fifth floor of Rickhouse FF, the third and seventh floors of Rickhouse BB, and the second floor of Rickhouse DD.
At bottling, the liquid was non-chill filtered. This is only the second Rye in the collection and is the longest-aged Rye Whiskey in the Heaven Hill Distillery portfolio, making this a truly special edition.
Parker's Heritage Collection Double Barreled Blend Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 132.2 Proof 750ml

The bourbon was then blended with 33% 15-year-old bourbon from the 2nd and 5th floors of Rickhouse II. The age of the blended bourbon definitely brings back memories of Promise of Hope and the 11 Year Single Barrel - with its flavor profile not too far off from them either.
