Seal Cove Farm Classic Chèvre — Maine, 4.5 oz
Since 1981, Seal Cove Farm has been raising prize-winning dairy goats on the rocky coast of Mount Desert Island in Maine. Through four decades of careful breeding, the farm has developed a herd of 125 French Alpine and Nubian goats whose milk is prized for its exceptional quality — clean, bright, and rich with the character of the Maine coast. All cheeses are made with microbial enzymes and no preservatives, reflecting the farm’s commitment to honest, straightforward cheesemaking.
The Classic Chèvre is the purest expression of that milk: fresh, tangy, and impossibly creamy, with the gentle lactic brightness that only great goat’s milk can deliver. It is the benchmark against which all other fresh chèvres are measured. Spread it over a warm baguette with a drizzle of honey, crumble it over roasted beets or a simple green salad, or serve it at the center of a cheese board alongside honeycomb and walnuts. Allow to sit at room temperature for one hour before serving for the fullest flavor and creamiest texture. Pair with a crisp Sancerre, Muscadet, or dry Provençal rosé.
