Sella & Mosca is one of Italy's most celebrated estate wineries, farming 650 hectares of vineyards and Mediterranean scrub on the sun-drenched plains of Alghero in northwestern Sardinia — one of the largest single wine estates in all of Europe. La Cala is Sella & Mosca's benchmark Vermentino — a wine that captures the essence of Sardinia in every glass. The 2025 La Cala is pale straw in the glass with a luminous green tint. The nose is fresh and inviting — citrus blossom, white peach, tropical fruit, and white flowers, accented by a mineral note and a subtle hint of Mediterranean herbs and scrub. On the palate, firm acidity with a soft, balanced texture and a lingering, saline finish. Bright, elegant, and utterly refreshing.
