He purchased what is now Buffalo Trace Distillery nearly three decades before that, implementing innovations still in use today, including climate-controlled aging warehouses such as the iconic Warehouse C, built by Taylor himself in 1885.

The E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch is produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery and bottled in strict accordance with the Bottled-in-Bond Act: aged a minimum of four years, distilled in a single distilling season by a single distillery, and bottled at exactly 100 proof (50% ABV).
