There are peated whiskies, and then there is Lagavulin. Distilled on the rugged southern shore of Islay and aged for a full 16 years, this is one of the most iconic single malts ever produced — a whisky that commands attention from the first pour and rewards patience with every sip.

The nose is immediate and unapologetic: a great wave of peat smoke, salted driftwood, and smoked fish, with a deep undercurrent of caramelized malt, baked apple, and oloroso sherry. Every single component of the exceptional blend has been handpicked from exclusive distilleries, some of which are no longer in existence. We draw these components from extradordinary casks, usually one in every two million. As soon as they're discovered, they're set aside for Blue Label and matured until their absolute peak - however long that may take.

Producer Description 

Caribbean Cask has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14 years, and then ‘finished’ in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. To create the ideal finish, Malt Master David Stewart filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums. When he judged the casks to be ready, the rum was replaced with the 14 year old spirit and the wood was put to work adding the final touches.

The result is an exceptional single malt whisky with the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie, married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, with a warm, lingering finish. Rich, sweet and creamy toffee on the nose combines with fresh fruit notes. Rounded with vanilla and sweet oak notes, with a fruity character that develops with time. Soft and lingering.

Wine Enthusiast 92 Points | After regular maturation, this Scotch is extra matured in former rum casks. The end result layers rich, mouth-coating dried apricot, honey and Sherry notes on top of Balvenie s usual caramel and light peat profile. Made in homage to one of bourbon's original aristocrats, W.L. Weller 12 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon continues to be crafted using Weller's wheated bourbon recipe. Aged for a minimum of 12 years, far longer than most wheated bourbons. This whiskey features aromas of creamy vanilla, caramel and molasses that gives way to notes of candied corn, ripe fruits, cocoa powder and dried fruits on the palate. With a finish, which is elegant and soft, has hints of mint, fruit and vanilla this wheated bourbon is not to be overlooked. W.L. This Petite Champagne originates from an old family reserve handed down from father to son beginning with the house's creation in 1872 by Edouard Normandin's great, great grandfather, Jules Normandin.

Normandin Mercier cognacs are matured in the family chateau’s traditional cellars near the town of La Rochelle, the historic medieval port that made Cognac famous many centuries ago. The proximity of the ocean, the natural regulation of hygrometry and oceanic temperature all favor the ageing of the cognacs, giving them fullness, elegance and a unique character.

Vinous 96 Points | Delamain’s youngest offering, at 20 to 25 years old, is also one of the standard-bearers of Grande Champagne (the blend was created in the 1920s and hasn’t changed). Light amber, with a delightful nose full of pear, marmalade, quince and orange blossom. The pear and quince carry onto the palate, where a distinctive membrillo-like flavor emerges — a unique note I find in a number of Delamain expressions. Sinatra Select pays tribute to Jack’s biggest fan: Frank Sinatra. It is made with our unique “Sinatra Barrels” that have deep grooves, specially carved into their staves to expose the whiskey to extra layers of toasted oak, balanced with our finest Tennessee Whiskey. This added exposure imparts a rich amber color, bold character, and pleasant smokiness, punctuated by an incredibly smooth vanilla finish. Much like Frank, this Whiskey is one of a kind.

The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve starts its journey in the finest American white oak ex-bourbon casks. The precious liquid is then split equally with half of the whisky remaining in the American white oak and the remainder transferred to aged Tawny Port pipes from W & J Graham’s vineyard in Portugal. They are then married back together to harmonize the flavors before bottling. Purposefully retained at 46.5% ABV to complement the enticing warm flavors of the Port and the classic taste of The Dalmore creating a whisky which is indulgent, smooth and complex.

Created in partnership with Nick Offerman, Lagavulin Offerman Edition 11 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a woody and peaty, fruity and spicy offering. The woody, peaty notes lead from the front, gently tingling the tongue in a cha-cha before fading to reveal a veritable waltz of sweet berry and orchard fruit notes. Aged in a mix of refilled and rejuvenated American Oak barrels, this whisky demands to be served in a traditional whisky glass, neat or with a little water.

Carrying on a 200-year-old tradition of distilling excellence, the Lagavulin distillery is said to be one of the oldest distilleries on Islay. Founded in 1816 by farmer John Johnston and later led by Peter Mackie in 1890, the name Lagavulin was to become the last word on the delicacy of Islay malts. Miles and miles of peat bog in the west of the island provide the raw material which imbues the barley with their iconic smoky flavor, and the rich peaty water from the tranquil Lochan Sholum in the hills above the distillery makes the flavors so unique. It takes time, but patience is their finest virtue and rushing good whisky is just not how they take care of things in Islay.

Flor De Cana 130th Anniversary Rum - Flor De Cana 130th Anniversary Rum is produced in celebration of its 130th anniversary. Aged for no less than 20 years, the rum delivers notes of toasted hazelnut, dark chocolate, caramel, toasted black pepper, pineapple, baked banana with brown sugar, vanilla, mango bark and treacle. A full bodied and slightly drying rum. This rum is fair trade certified and carbon neutral.

Midleton Meets Málaga

The 5th installment in the famed Redbreast Iberian Series sees Master Blender David McCabe travel to the sun-drenched hills of Málaga, Spain, to source Moscatel wine casks for finishing Redbreast’s signature Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. Spanish Moscatel is celebrated for its floral aromas and notes of pineapple, peach, and honey — characteristics that weave beautifully into Redbreast’s rich pot still character.

The Moscatel wine is aged in American Oak for 24 months before the casks are emptied and transferred to Midleton Distillery, where Redbreast’s Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey has been maturing in these casks since June 2024.

About the Iberian Series

Redbreast’s Iberian Series celebrates Gilbey’s storied history of importing fortified wines and sherry from the Iberian Peninsula since the late 1800s. Amber-colored, this grappa is very smooth at the taste, but never mawkish. In its aromatic profile the ranges of fruit and spices are predominant and that's right in the grappa with a long aging and a high quality standard.

In the range of fruity tastes we can catch the one of the dry fruit, so rare to find; together with the candied fruit, the raisins and the prune we can feel the fruit in syrup, the jam and the citrus. In the range of spices the flavor of the barrel is dominating, together with pepper, licorice, tobacco and clove.

The 12-year aging process transforms the raw, high-toned character of young grappa into a complex, mellow, and brandy-like spirit:

• Palate: Velvety smooth and oily, with a profound depth of flavor. The initial heat of the alcohol is perfectly integrated with rich flavors of caramel, honey, baked pear, and apricot jam.

Predominantly matured in sherry seasoned American oak casks, the whisky has drawn fruity and floral flavours, beautifully balanced by the inclusion of sherry seasoned European oak, which offers a pleasing roasted richness and a touch of astringency. The subtle inclusion of casks that previously held bourbon adds a final sweetness, emulating the dessert wine aromas found in this tea that inspires this single malt.
