Duncan Taylor was originally based out of Glasgow where they were merchants and brokers of Scotch whisky casks. They have been laying down casks from distilleries all over Scotland for decades and now have one of the largest privately-held collections of rare and vintage Scotch Whisky.

Islay is a great place to make whisky if you were living in the 1800s. Remote but great water and barley. In 1815 Laphroaig was founded by brothers Alexander and Donald Johnston. Donald tragically died in 1847 after falling into a vat of hot pot ale at the distillery. It became famous in the early 1900s as it became released as a single malt. It has always been known to produce a heavily peated style.

El Tesoro Reposado is a benchmark Highlands tequila from one of Mexico's most storied distilling families — the Camarenas of La Alteña Distillery in the Jalisco Highlands. Crafted from 100% blue Weber agave, slowly crushed by a traditional volcanic stone tahona wheel, and aged 8 to 11 months in American oak barrels — well beyond the two-month legal minimum — this is a Reposado of uncommon depth, texture, and authenticity.

The nose is warm and inviting: cooked agave, vanilla, and toasted oak mingle with a gentle earthiness that speaks directly to the terroir of the Highlands. On the palate, the wine is round and richly layered, with caramel, dried fruit, and a whisper of baking spice, all carried by a long, smooth finish with lingering sweetness.
