90 Points Wine Enthusiast | The Champagne is balanced between a soft Brut character and crisper lemon flavors. That balance gives a fine wine, open and easy, but with a fine bite of acidity at the end.
90 Points Wine & Spirits | Clean Champagne, green-gold in color with the flavor of peaches just coming into ripeness, this wine’s cool mineral savor brings to mind grapes sautéed in butter, as in sole Véronique, with which this wine would partner well.
90 Points James Suckling | This has attractive aromas of croissants, sourdough, dried lemons, apricots, figs and walnuts. Soft and balanced on the palate, with a medium body, creamy mousse and a dry, rounded finish. Drink now.
Piper Heidsieck Rare Millesime 2008 Champagne 750ml
Piper Heidsieck RARE Rose Champagne 2008 750ml
Winemaker Description
The 2008 Rare Rosé is Piper-Heidsieck's second ever prestige cuvée rosé. This extremely premium and rare offering has been 11 years in the making. The legendary eye of Régis Camus saw a rare opportunity in the 2008 champagne vintage, a beautifully complex and eccentric vintage. It is an audacious wine, born of intuition, vision and aspiration – the very definition of Rosé.
Following an attack that is both elegant and generous the velvety texture unfurls to offer minerality and subtlety. Initially, the exuberant vitality of dark fruits and citrus is followed by vibrancy, smoky notes of star anise and violets.
Expert Reviews
Wine Spectator 97 Points | A vibrant Champagne, ballet-slipper pink in color, featuring intense flavors of nectarine, ripe raspberry, grilled nut, espresso and graphite, with a touch of dried sage, all riding the finely detailed mousse. Like a ballerina, this offers power in a graceful form. A beautiful skein of spice unravels on the lasting finish. Drink now through 2033.
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Points | The 2008 Champagne Rare Rosé is straight-up sensational. Only the second time they’ve produced this cuvée, it offers a deep, full-bodied, powerful yet chiseled and laser-focused style carrying loads of wild strawberry fruit as well as notes of orange blossom, spice, and crushed rocks. Backward, austere, yet simply loaded with potential, it needs a solid 4-5 years of bottle age and will drink brilliantly for two decades or more.

Expert Review
Wine Enthusiast 94 Points | Best Buy. This tawny rum offers a mellow brown sugar aroma. The exceedingly smooth palate opens with plenty of creamy vanilla, plus hints of toasted marshmallow and vanilla wafers, winding into a long finish tinged with espresso and allspice. Aged for a minimum of five years in ex-Bourbon casks in Barbados, then shipped to the Cognac region to mature in Pierre Ferrand Cognac casks.

Plumpjack Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 750ml
Expert Review - Vintage 2021
Vinous 95 Points | The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is rich, racy and super-expressive. Silky and deep, with notable resonance, the 2021 offers up dark red/purplish fruit, lavender, spice, menthol, new leather and licorice. Today, it is a very young wine in need of cellaring, but its potential is evident. Dollops of Petit Verdot and Malbec round out the blend. This should be positively stellar.
Winemaker Description
The nose of the 2021 PlumpJack Estate Cabernet Sauvignon leads with juicy fruits – black cherry, boysenberry, blackberry jam, and muddled mixed berries. The fruit is layered with fresh mint, sage, and iron filings. These aromas are complemented by warming spices, vanilla, and cocoa nib. The palate has a beautiful, velvety texture with plush tannin and an enduring finish with impressions of espresso and dark chocolate.
Plymouth Cheese ‘Ballyhoo Brie’ (Vermont,8oz)
In June of 2017, this Vermont cheesemaker introduced Ballyhoo Brie, an 8-oz. soft-ripened cheese with a natural bloomy rind. One year later, Ballyhoo scored a silver medal at the American Cheese Society awards.
Made with pasteurized cow’s milk, the square-shaped nugget is deeply redolent of mushrooms and earthy sous-bois. Its creamy, springy paste is an explosion of butter and roasted hazelnuts, with a brothy umami finish. Still, the cheese manages to retain its milky qualities, and melts away quickly on the tongue.
It’s rare to find an American Brie-style cheese with personality. This one delivers.

Plymouth NAVY STRENGTH Gin 750ml
Producer Description
Batch distilled in the original victorial copper stills, Plymouth Navy Strength Gin is rich yet impeccably balanced. It is perfect for the adventurous spirit drinkers of the world, and takes a gin and tonic to a whole new level.
Plymouth Gin is a style and brand of gin that has been distilled on the same premises on the Barbican in Plymouth, Devon, since 1793. The site of production, the Plymouth Gin Distillery, was built in 1431 and is reputed to have once been a monastery of the Dominican Order, widely known as "Black Friars" (notice the tiny friar embossed on the bottle). Intense, bold and aromatic, for almost two centuries, no Royal Navy ship left port without it. A multi-award-winner that’s strong enough to fire cannons.
Plymouth SLOE Gin 750ml
The making of fruit gins has long been a tradition in the English countryside, and ours keeps true to a recipe dating back to 1883.
The Nose - A clear character of mellow sloe berries, it’s fruity with notes of sweet cherry and a slight scent of almonds
The Palate - Fruity, smooth and full-bodied, with a perfect balance of sweet and dry
The Finish - Long, fresh and fruity
A 750ml bottle of Plymouth Sloe Gin (26% abv). Sloe berries are slowly and gently steeped in Plymouth Gin, soft pure Dartmoor water and a small amount of sugar for approximately 4 months.
The sugar levels are kept low to allow the full flavour of the berries to shine and allow the dry acidity of the fruit to be an important part of the taste. The result is an entirely natural product with no added flavourings or colourings. Sloe Gin has long been enjoyed as a ’winter warmer’ in the countryside.

PM Spirits Collab Remi Landier Special Pale Cognac VSOP Fine Bois 750ml
Producer Description
Intense, powerful and well-balanced. Some salty notes with hints of dried fruits and exotic spices.
The Landier family traces their winegrowing roots in the region back to 1890, when Rémi's grandfather Julien Girard settled in the town of Cors and planted his first vines. Throughout the 1900s, the family continued to grow their vineyards and began work on the distillery; in 1973 the Rémi Landier brand was launched by his son, Jean-Yves.
Today, the Cognac house is still family-owned and managed by its fifth generation, Géraldine Landier.
PM Spirits founder Nicolas Palazzi, aka Captain Cognac, met Géraldine some years ago while she was working for European spirit purveyors extraordinaire La Maison du Whisky. While traveling in France, Nicolas was introduced to Géraldine by good friend and master cooper Jean-Noel Pelletan.
Sensing a forward-thinking open-mindedness, Nicolas stayed in touch with Géraldine who eventually moved from Paris back to Cognac to help run the family business. When we first began brainstorming producers with whom to work with on COLLAB releases, Rémi Landier was a no-brainer.
These releases represent the start of something new and pay homage to a Cognac house which has, since its inception, shared the same values and ethos that PM Spirits was built on.
This VSOP Cognac was aged for over five years in a combination of used French oak and toasted, new French Oak barrels. It is a single terroir Fins Bois Cognac with no additives, bottled exclusively for PM Spirits and the US market. Producer Description.

PM Spirits Oloroso Sherry Jerez-Xeres-Sherry 750ml
Winemaker Description
Has a peachy nose and a mellow palate, round and gentle with hints of orange peel, nuts and varnish. It could be around 20 years of age, so it's not a super old wine. It's approachable, super clean and defined and a textbook example of the category. This has 19% alcohol.
PM Spirits Project Fino Sherry 750ml
Winemaker Description
This saca de Junio comes from a Fino solera that has aged in a bodega in El Puerto de Santa Maria. It has spent the entirety of its time aging beneath a veil of flor. Typically used for blending purposes, this remarkable solera has never previously been bottled on its own.
Nicolas Palazzi was raised surrounded by his family’s vineyards in Bordeaux and introduced to spirits, Cognac and Cognac cellars through a dear friend of Nicolas’ grandfather. This gentleman will be referred to as “Mr. X”.
Established somewhere in the Cognac region of France, Mr. X’s family started distilling at over a century ago. Recognizing in Nicolas a fledgling passion for Cognac, this mysterious man shared his knowledge and connections within the small and commonly impenetrable world of artisan Cognac. This gave rise to PM Spirits, as Nicolas began sourcing, collecting, aging and blending these rare casks and subsequently releasing limited series bottling in the USA.
PM Spirit’s passion for artisan spirits has slowly broadened its focus over the years to include within its portfolio other small-scale hand-crafted distillates such as Sicilian Grappas, French Eau-de-vies & Liqueurs, Rum, Tequilas, Mezcals.

Grattamacco wines are known for both their power, elegance and complexity that evolves with time.
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2020
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points | Next up is the 2020 Grattamacco, which really takes things up a notch. A deep ruby red, it offers decadent and harmoniously layered aromas of pristine oak spice, fresh leather, mossy earth, tobacco, and kirsch. Full-bodied and refined, it has a velvety texture, plush tannins, even acidity, and a long finish. This demands to be cellared and will continue to improve if adequately stored over the next two decades and likely beyond. Drink 2026-2046.
Vinous 97 Points | A stellar wine, the 2020 Grattamacco is dark, vibrant and nuanced to the core. Black fruit, lavender, spice, leather, menthol and dried herbs infuse the 2020 with tons of character and complexity. Deep yet also wonderfully translucent, the 2020 is one of the most finessed Grattamaccos I can remember tasting. There's incredible depth and resonance here, not to mention tons of personality.
Decanter 96 Points | This vintage gifted generous fruit with excellent, crisp acidities, alongside clean-edged balsam and pungent Mediterranean scrub,’ said winemaker, Luca Marrone. The grapes are hand-harvested in vineyards with an average age of 25 years. Spontaneous fermentation occurs in 7hl oak vats with a frequent and gentle manual pigeage, enabling long macerations and slow release of only fully ripe and noble tannins. This wine was aged for 18 months in oak barrels and bottled in August 2022. Restrained cassis and Mediterranean herb scents are allied to fresher red fruits and a floral touch. It's very well composed, demonstrating an elegant and juicy style with great integration of oak and youthful, chewy fruit. A Bolgheri to wait for – this is intended for the long haul.
The Wine Advociate 95 Points | The organic Grattamacco 2020 Bolgheri Superiore Grattamacco is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 15% Sangiovese fermented in conical oak vats and aged in barrique for 18 months. The vintage is fruit-driven for sure, and this expression shows nice detailing in terms of the quality and structure of the tannins. The bouquet is focused on grilled cherry and mixed berry. You definitely get a warm, earthy quality with black licorice and sweet Mediterranean tones. It should be interesting to see how it evolves. Production is 60,000 bottles.
James Suckling 94 Points | Aromatic nose of blackcurrants, berries and cherries, together with hints of flowers and smooth oak. Full-bodied with a super-clean and intense bead of fruit running through the lightly firm tannins to give a long, only lightly abrasive finish. From organically grown grapes. A classy, well-structured blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and sangiovese. Drinkable now, but better from 2024.
The Wine Spectator 93 Points | Elegant and linear in profile, this red boasts cherry, black currant, mineral, earth and Mediterranean scrub aromas and flavors. There's fine tension and freshness, with a long, resonant aftertaste. Needs time. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese. Best from 2025 through 2042.
Podere Sul Lago Torcular Vernaccia Nera di Serrapetrona 2016 750ml
Winemaker Description
This small winery is the project of Sandrino Quadraroli, the owner of one of the finest restaurants in central Marche, Osteria del Borgia. Always a champion of the wines of his region, starting in 2012 he was finally able to crown his dream of producing wine.
The 4 hectares estate was planted in 1999, upside down Guyot system, on clay, sandy and calcareous soil 500 meters above sea level on the south-facing hills right above lake Caccamo in the township of Serrapetrona located in the mountainous central part of the Marche region.
The focus of the winery is the grape varietal indigenous to this sub-region: Vernaccia Nera, not found anywhere else in the world. This grape has a long history, however it was traditionally vinified sparkling and semi-sweet, possibly in order to tame the bold characteristics that this varietal has: crushed white and black pepper. Over the past two decades or so, a new generation of wineries in the area is concentrating on exalting the unique character of Vernaccia Nera and are bottling still, dry wines. The results are fascinating: the wines are distinctive, aromatic, full-bodied but elegant and vibrant, with good minerality and refreshing acidity.
Poderi e Cantine Oddero Barolo 2020 750ml
Critic Notes
Walter Speller writes: Just mid ruby. Pretty sour-cherry and damson nose. Elegant, suave, ripe red-fruit palate with beautifully handled polished tannins. Very long and with the tannins clinging to the fruit. Drinking 2024 to 2030. - Jancis Robinson 17++
Monica Larner writes: Coming in hot off some truly excellent past releases, the Oddero 2020 Barolo has a pretty mineral content with pencil shaving, crushed stone and wet soil that meets forest berry and underbrush. The wine hits on all cylinders, and there is good aromatic balance. It delivers a punch of bright fruit and crushed rose that gives way to pulverized stone. For a base Barolo, this is one of your best buying options. Fruit is blended from Bricco Chiesa and Capalot in La Morra and Fiasco in Castiglione Falletto. Drinking 2026 to 2039. - Robert Parker Wine Advocate 94
Antonio Galloni writes: The 2020 Barolo is a pretty powerful wine in this peer group. Accordingly, it is going to need a few years to come into its own. Macerated cherry, licorice, lavender, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco emerge gradually, but only with great reluctance. Hints of rose petal, mint and cinnamon linger. Drinking 2024 to 2032. - Vinous 91
James Suckling writes: Well-rounded, juicy and fruit-forward with notes of sliced strawberries, raspberries, spiced cherries and herbs. Medium to full body with fine, firm tannins. Juicy on the palate with more strawberry character coming through. Lively and in control with a generous and charming finish. Try after 2026. - James Suckling 93
Poet's Leap Riesling Columbia Valley 2023 750ml
Critic Notes
Michael Alberty writes: Every year I marvel at how such a marvelous Riesling can be $20. The Poet's Leap opens with an aromatic ode to lychee fruit, honeysuckle, almond butter and a wisp of petrol. Lemony acidity curls itself around flavors like green honeydew melon, rose water and the sweetness of a slice of peach pie. The 2023 is as good as any in recent memory. Mercy. - Wine Enthusiast 93
Winery Notes
The 2022 Poet’s Leap Riesling is a fresh and vibrant wine with fragrant jasmine and citrus peel aromatics combined with flavors of white peach, kumquat and ripe stone fruits. The wine’s racy natural acidity, and a pleasant streak of minerality, provide a balanced mouthfeel and long, clean finish. Winemaker Description.
Poggio al Tufo Rompicollo Maremma Toscana 2020 750ml
Expert Review - Vintage 2020
Winemaker Description
This Tuscan “Super Value” is a blend of 60% Sangiovese and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and comes from a single-vineyard site in the Alta Maremma called Rompicollo. The vineyard benefits from southern exposure, ample sunlight, and a soil rich in tufo, a particular type of volcanic rock.
A deep, bright ruby red in color, on the nose it offers an elegant, varied bouquet of ripe berry fruits (such as blackberries and raspberries), dried aromatic herbs and delicate sweet spices. On the palate it is full-bodied, mellow and mouth-filling, with velvety tannins. Though richly flavored, it displays an attractive suppleness in the mouth.
Poggio di Sotto Brunello di Montalcino 2015 750ml
Expert Reviews
Robert Parker 95 Points | Poggio di Sotto doesn't miss a beat with this very special release. This is a glorious expression of the vintage, and the wine has absorbed the golden sunlight of Tuscany, delivering beautifully ripe, round and subtle fruit layers. The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino shows concentration, but not too much, and richness, but not too much. You get the power and the opulence of the vintage presented with the elegance and grace that is the house style at this venerated estate. Poggio di Sotto is one of the benchmarks of Montalcino, and the winery team continues the tradition with this 22,000-bottle release. There's a lot of red fruit energy deep inside that should stir this wine on course as it ages over the next two decades. (2015).
Decanter 96 Points | On steep slopes in the southeast of Montalcino, Poggio di Sotto's vineyards are cooled by breezes coming off the nearby Monte Amiata. The Brunello is crafted from plots that range in altitude from 200 to 450 metres. Fermentations are spontaneous, maceration lasts one month and ageing is in 30-hectolitre Slavonian oak casks. This demonstrates the generosity of the vintage but is still fresh and graceful. Sweet fennel, underbrush and thyme blossoms give intricacy to pure red cherry fruit. Abundant chalky tannins build stealthily across the palate and provide a welcome dimension of texture, while Sangiovese's appetising juiciness shines through. (2015).
James Suckling 94 Points | There’s a real Burgundian feel here to the sour cherries, five spice, citrus, nutmeg and fresh oregano. The tannins have a beautiful, porcelain-like feel; the acidity cuts a wide and long shape. Delicate, floral and refined. All about grace and elegance. Drink from 2021. (2015).
Pol Roger Champagne Brut Reserve 750ml
Winemaker Description
Pale gold in color with delicately toasty aromas alongside fruit and complexity. This wine is creamy and beautifully balanced with a dry, harmonious finish.
Expert Reviews
93 Points Decanter | Richly biscuity on the nose, with steamed rice, fresh pear and citrus blossom complexity. Creamy mousse dissolves into red apple peel, lemon and stone fruits, with a depth of honeyed biscuits. The Reserve NV from Pol Roger is a blend of base wines from at least three vintages. With 6 months of post-disgorgement ageing, the wine is ready to enjoy now.
James Suckling 92 Points | Fresh Amalfi lemons, pear skins, apples, rhubarb and hints of anise on the nose. Excellent depth and flavor concentration here, with a medium body and creamy bubbles. Fruit and spice deliciously integrated.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 92 Points | The current release of Pol Roger's NV Brut Réserve is quite dramatic, bursting with aromas of mandarin oil, honeycomb, elderflower, fresh bread and musky peach. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, it's generous and textural, with a rich core of fruit, lively acids and a pillowy mousse.
Wine Enthusiast 91 Points | The nonvintage Champagne from this producer always has richness from the Pinot Noir in the blend. This bottling also has a touch of toast, showing some bottle aging. Put the two elements together and this satisfyingly ripe wine is ready to drink.
Jeb Dunnuck 91 Points | Equal parts Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier make up the NV Champagne Reserve Brut, with 8 grams per liter dosage. The nose is bright and fresh with green apple and lively lemon lime citrus as well as fresh pastry. The palate is dry though generous, with fruit upfront of ripe red berries and grapefruit. Well-suited as an aperitif, it is ready to drink now or over the next 10 years.
Pol Roger Champagne Brut Vintage 2015 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2015
95 Points Jeb Dunnuck | The 2015 Champagne Brut Vintage is 60% Pinot Noir, with the rest Chardonnay, and takes on the more noble feel of the house style. The nose is fragrant and delicate with flint and wet stone, red plum, orange blossom, and spice. The palate has structure and feels the strength of the Pinot Noir and the warmth of 2015, although it has the underlying structure to last. Dry, balanced, and salty, it will need some time before opening. Allow 1-2 years and drink over the following two decades.
95 Points Wine Enthusiast | Still young, this is a fine Champagne. Its crisp texture and fresh citrus and white fruits are still full of vivacity. The wine is textured, hinting at minerality and should be aged further. Drink from 2024.
94 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate | Pol Roger's 2015 Brut Vintage is generous and demonstrative, bursting with aromas of golden orchard fruit, nectarine, warm bread, buttered popcorn and orange oil. Full-bodied, broad and vinous, it's rich and fleshy, with a sweet, layered core of fruit, racy acids and a pretty pinpoint mousse. Stylistically, the 2015 has more in common with the richness and concentration of 2012 than the chiseled raciness of 2013. It's a beautiful bottle in the making.
94 Points James Suckling | Lots of spicy apple with sliced lemons and pears and hints of stone. Full-bodied with soft and layered bubbles that caress your palate. Dusty and succulent. Creamy finish.
93 Points Wine Spectator | A graceful Champagne, with delicate notes of white cherry, poached apricot, pickled ginger and chalky minerals dancing across the palate, carried by the finely detailed mousse. Buoyed by racy acidity, this is mouthwatering, almost crunchy, on the spice- and smoke-tinged finish.
