Tso'ok Oaxacan Mountain Rum Sugar Cane Liter
Producer Description
The tepache tastes much like apple cider... tart and delicious. The swarms of bees waste no time on people, preferring instead the drunken bliss of sipping the tepache that is available freely to them. After the juice is squeezed from the cane, the cane fiber is folded into bundles that are then submerged and held under the bubbling tepache with rocks. Distillation is done in copper—a still that appears as if it could give way to fatigue any day now, but which Juan told me is sixty years old. It is held together by faith, as much as by its rivets. Here, sixty years is not a long time.
The Sierra Mixe is a vast and mysterious place, its people secretive and uninterested in modernity. The weather is mercurial—one can be above, beneath, or in the clouds at any given time. There are over 700 species of fern, from the minute to tree ferns that rival conifers for height. Cascades fall from granite rock cliffs and the only sound is the wind and water. From this area we are happy to bring you a special rum, the local inebriant, and an artifact of living culture from an unconquered people existing how they have always, dating back 4000 years by their reckoning.

Tua Rita Redigaffi Toscana 2016 750ml
Winemaker Description
Redigaffi has an intense color that arouses enthusiasm and satisfy the sight, it highlights great complexity characterized by the fruity attack in the mouth leaving then “room” to tobacco and licorice notes. Good concentration given by the pre-harvesting activity, three passages and perfect maturation reached by our grapes. Outstanding complexity. Floral notes typical of our “Macchia Mediterranea” are intense and persistent. The elegance of tannins is enhanced by the great structure and balance. Considerable extraction and good acidity.
Expert Reviews
Susan Hulme MW of Decanter writes 100 Points | (March 4, 2019) 2016 was an exceptional vintage in Tuscany and, according to Stefano, the best in 20 years. The cool night temperatures allowed for beautifully precise aromatics and perfectly ripe, harmonious tannins. This wine expresses the vintage beautifully and is the best Redigaffi I have tasted - simply stunning! Complex and tightly wound, it carries its 15% alcohol really well. There are hints of roasted coffee beans and green herbs on the nose, while the palate is super-concentrated yet beautifully balanced, with very fine-textured tannins. Blackcurrant, smoky plum and liquorice flavours are joined by a lovely freshness. A beauty.
Antonio Galloni of Vinous writes 97 Points | The 2016 Redigaffi is another absolutely compelling wine in this range. Explosive and opulent, the 2016 manages to be both spectacularly rich and yet also retain tremendous freshness. Blueberry jam, lavender, crushed rocks and sweet oak all build as this sumptuous yet structured Merlot shows off its considerable personality. In 2016, Redigaffi is energetic, persistent and also very classy. Drink it over the next decade or so.
Monica Larner of the Wine Advocate writes 97 Points | This vintage hits it out of the ballpark. The Tua Rita 2016 Redigaffi is everything you should expect in terms of complexity, depth and the quality of its bouquet. The wine is especially balanced and focused with pinpoint aromas of dark cherry, plum, spice, tar and dried garden herb. The mouthfeel is generous and rich, but it also offers very silky and long tannins that give the wine its long, persistent mouthfeel. The 2016 vintage is an icon, and the wine has many long years of aging ahead. Drinking 2023 - 2040
James Suckling writes 99 Points | Aromas of lavender, ripe cherries, iodine, licorice and walnuts. Some mahogany and amber, too Full-bodied with firm, tight-grained tannins. Intense and focused, with a very deep core of perfumed fruit. Still needs time. 100% merlot. Better after 2023.
Tua Rita Rosso dei Notri 2023 750ml
Winemaker Description
This youthful offering from Tua Rita is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Franc, harvested in September from vineyards in the foothills of Suvereto, a small hilltop village in Tuscany. After a gentle pressing, the wine is aged for three months in French oak barriques and stainless steel tanks.
Deep ruby red in color, with aromas of black fruits, namely blackberries, plums and ripe black cherries over more subtle notes of cocoa, licorice and sweet spice. On the palate, the wine is smooth, with silky tannins and bracing acidity, showing structural balance long into the finish.
Pair this wine with prosciutto-wrapped asparagus, spice rubbed chicken, or lasagna Bolognese with béchamel sauce.
Expert Ratings
James Suckling 93 Points | “Lovely crushed berry and cherry aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and a crunchy and delicious finish. A blend of mostly merlot and cabernet sauvignon with some syrah and cabernet franc.
Tubi 60 Original Secret Blend of Citrus-Flowers-Herbs-Tree Extracts 80 Proof Kosher Israel 750ml
The mysterious liquor is an entity unto its own, a cloudy, yellow beverage with a citrusy bite and herbal undertones. Its logo is “Pure Happiness,” and there are few fans who would argue with that. For the small handful of Americans who’ve tried Tubi, its recent arrival in the States is a dream come true. The liquor’s sharp, pungent aroma is a portal to hazy Thursday nights downing shots of Tubi in a grungy hipster Tel Aviv club that smells like cigarettes and sounds like Berlin house beats.
The distinctive liquor was invented in 2012 by two brothers, Hilal and Yanai Tubi, who worked out of their parents’ apartment in the northern Israeli city of Haifa. They say the idea was to create an alcohol that was “superior” to any other in terms of ingredients, taste, effect, and versatility. By 2013, the success of the brand and growing demand meant the brothers had to move from their parents’ home into their first factory in Haifa, and their continued success found them struggling to keep up with the liquor’s growth demand. By 2014, they were distributing Tubi around the entire country, and by 2015, they’d moved into an even bigger factory.
The spirit is 40 percent alcohol and made from lemons, herbs, flower, and tree extracts. It’s “specifically formulated to provide an uplifting and positive effect,” according to its website. Tubi’s vague herbal blend leaves much to the imagination, but the drink is approved both by the Israeli Health Ministry and now by the FDA.
Tulip Tree Creamery - Foxglove (Indiana, 8 oz)
Turley Zinfandel Old Vines Paso Robles 2022 750ml
Erin Brooks writes: The 2021 Zinfandel Old Vines has a medium ruby color and plush red and black cherries on the nose with accents of mushrooms, forest floor, savory spices and mint. The full-bodied palate is grainy and refreshing with generous berry fruit and a long, spicy finish. It's similar to the Juvenile with a bit more oomph, and it's just as easy to drink. Drinking 2023 - 2030 - Robert Parker Wine Advocate 93
Winemaker Notes:
From over 20 ancient vineyards across California and aged in only 10% new oak. Ripe blackberry, black cherry, black raspberry, classic spice and concentration rounded out by juicy acidity and soft tannins. A seriously satisfying wine with inherent depth, complexity, and grace.
Twig Farm ‘Goat Tomme’ (1/6 wheel wedge) (Vermont, 5oz)
In the words of the folks at Twig Farm: Tomme is a pure expression of our goat’s milk as it changes from March to December. Aged a minimum of 90 days, this semi-firm raw-milk cheese is delicately flavored with notes of roasted almond and lemon peel. Incredibly versatile for pairing: Loire Valley Chenin, off-dry cider, a mid-weight stout or a light red wine would make excellent partners for a little wedge of this goodness!

Twomey Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2021 750ml
Winemaker Description
While the 2021 vintage is defined by concentration and fine tannins often found in warm, dry vintages, it is nuanced by the freshness and liveliness typical of this cool growing region. The balance of elegant, forward profiles from the Bearman Bend Vineyard with the structured, spice-driven qualities from Monument Tree Vineyard come together to create a compelling snapshot of the Anderson Valley. Aromas of ripe wild strawberry rose and cedar on the nose are complemented by supple tannins and a long, lifted finish.
Expert Reviews
James Suckling 93 Points | Nicely deep in black fruit and savory flavors, this well-balanced wine offers excellent focus, depth and length. It’s medium- to full-bodied, moderately tannic and delicious. Stays fresh with good acidity from the first sip to the lingering finish.
Decanter 92 Points | A Pinot Noir blend of grapes from Bearman Bend, the Twomey estate in Anderson Valley, along with Ferrington Vineyard and Monument Tree Vineyard fruit. Lovely, bright, crunchy red fruit, rich cedar spices, dried floral notes, and dusty minerals. Satiny fruit races across the palate, along with plump tannins, electrified by terrific acidity. The fruit concentration is penetrating but never overpowering and is framed by a clove powder and cedarwood dusting on the long finish. Director of Winemaking Justin Hirigoyen has moved the program further away from whole cluster fermentations to avoid too much vintage variation, and readers should expect a consistent fruit-forward, structured style in Twomey's Anderson Valley Pinot Noir.
Tzora Vineyards Shoresh Blanc Sauvignon Blanc + Chardonnay Kosher 2022 750ml
Winemaker Description
The Judean Hills, where Tzora Vineyards resides, rise sharply from the coastal plain, and exhibit ideal conditions for growing wine grapes. Terraces cling to this rugged area in a multitude of directions as they follow the contours of the steep slopes. Cold winters, sharp temperature drops during the short summer nights and early morning summer mists, as well as variations in soils from rocky limestone outcrops to ones rich in minerals, all contribute to the character, the balance, and the great longevity of the wines. The wines of Tzora reflect the Judean Hills’ unique terroir. In order to achieve this goal, they make wine only from their estate’s fruit, grown in three vineyards, Giv’at Hachalukim, Shoresh and Neve Ilan, each with varying soils and meso-climates.
The Tzora Shoresh Blanc is a blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Chardonnay from grapes grown on old terraces of terra-rosa soils with limestone subsoils. The wine is aged sur-lie for 6 months in French oak barriques. Expressive on the nose with aromas of vanilla, tropical fruit and toast. The palate shows a fine sheen layer of spice to complement the exotic fruit notes that are balanced by a round, creamy mouthfeel and lively acidity.
Expert Review
James Suckling (2022) | Very aromatic with a wide spectrum of fresh fruit salad aromas (plenty of citrus), plus notes of ripe gooseberry and honeysuckle. Wonderfully fresh and vibrant on the medium-bodied palate with zesty and animating acidity. Stacks of fresh herb and citrus zest at the long finish, plus a whiff of smoke.

Umani Ronchi Lacrima di Morro d’Alba Fonte del Re 2021 750ml
Winemaker Description
The wine presents a deep ruby red color with evident shades of violet. The nose is remarkable for a delicate and characteristic, in- tense and aromatic vinous aroma, suggestive of roses, violets and brushwood.
Flavor dry and warm, with clear and pungent but not rasping tannins. Soft and fairly rounded, and also with good body and persistence.
This wine is traditionally matched with typical local charcuterie such as Lardellato di Fabriano or Ciavuscolo salami, first courses based on Salsa Rossa and meat sauce, and second courses based on white meats. It can also be accompanied by antipasti of blue fish, marinaded or soused in the same wine, and some types of fish soup. It is also excellent with medium-hard cheeses.
Goblet of medium size and roughly spherical shape, to allow the wine to oxygenate properly and for the aromas to open up completely.

Underwood Rose 355ml CAN
Winemaker Description
Fresh and clean with loads of strawberry, ruby grapefruit and apricot flavors and aromas. Crisp finish. Underwood draws from the diverse palette of vineyards and wine growing regions that Oregon offers. The winemaker says that this is the perfect wine for "action-lounging"; which is the perfect use for a delicious rosé in a conveniently portable can.
Underwood Rosé is three-quarters Pinot Gris, with a dose of Muscat for floral pop and a dash of Pinot Noir for color. The fruit for this wine was harvested on the riper end of the spectrum (which was still restrained in the 2022 vintage), destemmed, either in the vineyard or the winery - allowing a range of skin contact times depending upon the fruit source - before the grapes were pressed, racked from their solids, and slowly fermented at 50-55F for a month or more before fermentation was halted at an average of 4.5 g/L residual sugar and blended to build a friendly, juicy, and lively Rosé.
