The 2024 release of the Heaven Hill Heritage Collection is an 18-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Bottled without chill filtering, this 120 proof Whiskey showcases our Bourbon mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley. MIC.DROP. L22-01 Mic Drop started as a side project enabling PM Spirits to have access to American whiskey for our New York market – at the time, we had none to sell. The first few releases happened to be MGP for no particular reason others than the fact that out of all the casks we tasted, we felt these stood out most and met the criteria for the type of releases we wanted to make happen. After the third release, we started to wonder what Mic Drop should actually stand for. We decided to use it as a brand that would shine a spotlight on distillers and barrels that we felt were particularly good. 

Our fourth release was a rye whiskey produced by Wilderness Trail, simply because to us, they may very well be the best player in that category at the moment. In the middle of 2021, we stumbled upon something very, very different when a friend suggested we taste two specific barrels. They contained bourbon that was double distilled in Louisville, Kentucky on a Vendome copper pot still with a mashbill of 60% corn, 17% wheat, 13% oats, and 10% barley. They aged in Kentucky in two 60 gallon, new American oak barrels with a #2 char for a little over seven years. Total yield was 55.1 gallons – slightly over 54% evaporation.

This bottling was obtained by dumping together the only two casks of bourbon ever made with this mashbill at this distillery. It was double distilled on a copper pot still and aged for over seven years in Louisville, Kentucky. It has been bottled at a cask strength of 58% abv, without chill filtration or added color. We can't tell you who made it. 100% of the profits from this bottling will go towards organizations advocating for gun safety in every town in America. Producer Description.

Heaven Hill - Heritage Collection 17 Year Old Barrel Proof 118.2 1st Edition. 

Heaven Hill launched the first release in its new Heaven Hill Heritage Collection which will feature one of the distillery’s six unique mashbills for release. The inaugural whiskey is a barrel-proof bourbon bottled at 118.2 proof and made using the distillery’s core bourbon mash bill of 78 percent corn, 10 percent rye, and 12 percent malted barley. The label says the whiskey is 17 years old, but that’s indicative of the youngest whiskey in the bottle, which also includes 19 and 20-year-old bourbon (the exact breakdown: 28 percent 20-year-old barrels, 44 percent 19-year-old barrels, 28 percent 17-year-old barrels).

Nose is complex yet not overwhelming. A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.

This is a limited-edition expression as a tribute to Trey Zoeller's eighth-generation grandmother, Marian McLain, who was cited as the first documented woman in whiskey after her arrest for bootlegging in 1799. 

Jefferson’s Marian McLain is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys - 50%: 15-Year-Old, 20%: 11-Year-Old, 11%: Wheated Double-Barrel, 11%: Rum Cask Finish, 8%: 13-Year-Old.

This bourbon was distilled in the spring of 2007 and aged in Warehouse K for 15 years and 5 months prior to bottling.

Nose: The nose invites you in with caramel-stuffed chocolates, vanilla extract and sour cherries.

Each spring and fall, a new edition to the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond series is released. Inspired by an original 1950's Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, the packaging and series honor both the history of the Old Fitzgerald brand and the historic Bottled-in-Bond designation. The Old Fitzgerald line is well-known for its distilling pedigree, as the brand was first registered in 1884 and was eventually sold to "Pappy" Van Winkle during Prohibition. In 1999, Heaven Hill bought the brand and began distilling it at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, KY. Today, in addition to our Old Fitzgerald Decanter Series.

For this edition, barrels were pulled from across three floors of rickhouse V at Heaven Hill Distillery’s main campus in Bardstown, Kentucky. The Bourbon was put into barrels in the fall of 2004 and bottled in the spring of 2022, making this the first 17-year-old bottle in the Old Fitzgerald series.

Nose: Aged oak with vanilla, walnuts, dried citrus, and baking spices.

Taste: Smooth and rich with caramel and butterscotch. Dark chocolate and abundant spices, especially at the back of the tongue. Bright spearmint note at mid-palate.
