Produced from fresh, sound, ripe plums

Selected ripe plums are crushed and the pits are separated away. After temperature controlled fermentation based on regional yeast, the fermented mash is double distilled and blended until a distinctive fresh slivovitz is obtained. The slivovitz is then placed in oak barrels of up to 5000 liters for aromatic completion and then stored in stainless steel tanks for further aging until bottling.

The unique taste of Slivovitz comes from the plum seeds. When pressed, the seeds release amygdalin, which tastes of almonds. When sipped, the brandy's fiery start mellows, leading to a smooth clean finish.

Drinks smooth and warm, not overly sweet for 35%, and the honey's here, as is some dialed-back cinnamon and a dash of cocoa in the finish. A late breath revives everything. The best of the American honey-whiskey drinks to date.

Jelinek Slivovitz Gold Plum Brandy 7yr

This Special Reserve Slivovitz is a triple distilled plum brandy made from the matured plums coming from orchards surrounding the distillery. This Special Reserve is aged in French Oak barrels, which gives the slivovitz a unique, well-balanced taste and a bright gold color.

Vecchia Romagna Etichetta Nera, or Black Label, Brandy is a luscious Brandy from Italy distilled from Trebbiano grapes. Aged in small oak casks for a total of 3 years, Vecchia Romagna is light on the palate, but with deep and concentrated flavours to deliver a truly refined drinking experience. Suited wonderfully to after dinner alongside a great espresso coffee.

One of the most classic French aperitifs is a pour of gentiane liqueur on the rocks with a squeeze of lemon. Salers is the oldest gentian liqueur of the Massif Central, birthplace to this style of product. It distinguishes itself with a pure, firm, rustic earthy profile. Unlike its larger rivals, Salers is less sweet and does not add artificial yellow color, revealing a beautiful natural straw color.
