About the Wine

The Dabouki grape — historically used for Arak or table grapes — is being rediscovered by top Israeli winemakers for its unique desert-friendly profile. This wine is a collaboration between Teperberg Winery, Israel's oldest family-owned winery, and internationally renowned street artist Dede, whose iconic graffiti adorns cities from Tel Aviv to major capitals worldwide.

Dede began painting his signature band-aids as a response to PTSD from military service. The heart-shaped band-aid on the capsule symbolizes healing and hope — making this bottle as meaningful as it is beautiful, and a standout gift or conversation piece for any holiday table.

Vinous 92 Points | A blend of Chardonnay, Welschriesling and Sauvignon Blanc from the younger vines of the estate (~15 years old). Gentle nuttiness and a touch of tatami mat on the nose, very subtle and calm. With air, a hint of butter emerges. The palate is all clarity, all lightness and all brightness on a super-slender frame that is soothing and smooth. Bone-dry.

About the Wine

Velich Tó White takes its name from the Hungarian word for "lake" — a nod to the estate’s proximity to Neusiedlersee in Burgenland, Austria. The Tó cuvée is sourced from the estate’s younger vines (15–25 years old) and blends Chardonnay, Welschriesling, and Sauvignon Blanc into a wine of remarkable purity and restraint.

Jeb Dunnuck 92-94 Points | The 2023 Guidalberto was tasted as a preview and was a preliminary blend of barrel samples prepared for this tasting by the winery team, led by Carlo Paoli. The second sample that was blended was pure and ripe, with detailed layers of youthful cherry liqueur, fresh herbs, and lavender perfume. The palate offers medium to full-bodied richness, with a supple and primary feel, though it starts to reveal its underlying refined structure. While this was an early preliminary look at what the wine could look like, I’m looking forward to next year’s tasting to see how it develops.

Vinous 92 Points | The 2023 Guidalberto is another terrific wine from Tenuta San Guido in this vintage. Aromatic, medium in body and gracious, the 2023 is pure charm. Crushed flowers, bright red-toned fruit, spice and blood orange all pulse through a vibrant, refreshing Guidalberto that will drink well on release. The more refined side of Bolgheri is very much on display. This is a fine effort in a year marked by heavy rains and elevated disease pressure. What a delight.

Often called "Sassicaia’s little brother," Guidalberto is a distinct, standalone wine designed to be more approachable in its youth while still possessing the elegance of Bolgheri's coastal terroir.

In 2023, the blend shifted slightly due to a hot start to August that made the Merlot more challenging to manage. As a result, the Cabernet Sauvignon plays a more dominant role than in recent previous years.

Roederer Estate L’Ermitage Anderson Valley Brut 2019

When Louis Roederer — one of Champagne’s most prestigious houses — looked to California, they bypassed Napa and Sonoma entirely, heading north to the cool, fog-laced Anderson Valley in Mendocino County. The cooler climate, longer growing season, and distinctive soils of this remote appellation offered something rare: the conditions to make world-class sparkling wine with genuine terroir expression. Roederer Estate has been doing exactly that since 1982, and L’Ermitage is the pinnacle of their work — a tête de cuvée produced only in exceptional years, using the same philosophy that guides Cristal in Champagne.

The 2019 L’Ermitage marks a historic milestone: it is the first vintage of this wine to undergo malolactic fermentation, resulting in a rounder, more immediately expressive style with lower dosage (6 g/L) and an earlier drinking window than previous releases. The blend is 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir, all estate-grown, with 3.9% Chardonnay reserve wine from 2016. Approximately 4.9% was fermented in oak cask with gentle bâtonnage for eight weeks. The wine rested on its lees for four years before disgorgement, followed by an additional seven months of cork aging prior to release.

Liquid gold in the glass, the wine opens with beguiling aromas of quince, fresh stone fruit, citrus blossoms, salt, herbs, and pine forest, with hints of river-rock minerality, sliced pear, and vanilla. Winemaker Description 

This Reserva Carmenere is a soft representation of the notoriously hard-to-ripen Carmenere grape. In order to keep the wine’s fruity flavor, the clusters are picked from older vines in the Maipo Valley, and the juice is fermented at low temperatures.

The Casa Julia has a nose of black fruit and a pronounced vegetable note, like a green bell pepper. Blueberry and blackberry flavors mingle with a hint of earth and tannins in this full-bodied red wine.

This Carmenère pairs well with a wide range of dishes, from grilled pork loin and blackened chicken to steak salad with roasted peppers

Dark garnet in color. This Carménère has aromas of black plum, rich soil, toasted vanilla, and licorice. Fruity with dried raspberry, tar, roasted cherry, white pepper, black licorice, and a moderate oakiness. The tannins are soft and silky with a warming medium-length finish.

This Carmenere is sourced from two sections of Invina Batuco vineyard in the Maule Valley of Chile. The Batuco Vineyard is a thirty-year-old vineyard site that is own-rooted and situated in a small sub-valley on the eastern side of coastal mountains.

Winemaker Description 

An attractive greenish-yellow colour. Its ageing in foudres has lent it citrus and green chilli pepper aromas, as well as saline notes. In the mouth, it is very structured and tense thanks to its high acidity and minerality. The finish is clean and persistent, with a subtle saline note coming through. This highly complex Sauvignon Blanc tempts you to enjoy it with food.

Block 22 is located on the first terrace of the river Huasco. It has very old, stony soils from the river which have very special qualities: a little clay and a lot of calcareous soil – lime, calcium carbonate – white soils. Characterized by low yields of grapes with very concentrated fresh fruit. In the Atacama Desert in the Huasco valley, the temperatures were fresh, especially at night. Temperatures are kept low because of the constant cool morning breezes blowing in from the Pacific Ocean, as well as the classic “Camanchaca”, a dense fog which comes in from the ocean, helping to regulate the temperatures and ensure an optimum level of humidity in the atmosphere.

Gramona Imperial — Corpinnat, Catalonia 2018

Gramona is the crown jewel of Corpinnat — the prestigious breakaway appellation of the Penèdes committed to the highest standards of traditional-method sparkling wine production in Spain. The Alois Lageder Schiava 2023 is a signature "mountain red" from one of the pioneers of biodynamic viticulture in the Alto Adige (Südtirol) region of Northern Italy. Schiava (also known as Vernatsch) is prized for being incredibly light, fresh, and lower in alcohol—essentially the Italian Alpine answer to a light Pinot Noir or Gamay.

Lageder’s expression is specifically noted for its "funky" and "earthy" complexity, which sets it apart from more commercial, purely fruit-driven versions of the grape.

Winemaker Description

The house brand red is a blend of Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and Pinot Noir, which is matured in large used wooden barrels. The Zweigelt brings fruit and charm, the Pinot Noir juiciness and the Blaufränkisch character and structure.

The Blaufränkisch also dominates the nose with dark aromas, ripe black cherries and plums, some eucalyptus and a slight smokiness of bacon. On the palate it starts fresh and animating, a fine and mellow tannin spreads directly on the tongue, again cherry and fine tannins.

The house brand stands for fresh drinking fun and goes well with stews and autumnal cuisine, for example with pumpkin.

A stunning Sagrantino from our favorite Italian, Mr. Mattoni himself! Intense ruby red color with hints of berries, sweet spices and tobacco. On the palate there is a freshness followed by soft tannins of finesse and persistence.

Finca Valpiedra is one of Rioja's most distinctive single-estate wineries, situated on a meander of the Ebro River in the Cenicero area of Rioja Alta. The estate takes its name from the pebble stones and limestone that define its soils — valpiedra meaning "valley of stones" — and it is these soils that give the wines their signature freshness, minerality, and cool-climate precision.

This is a complex wine that offers firm tannins and rich fruit. It has weight, density and a strong sense of ripeness. With balance and depth, it’s a wine with good aging potential.

Vinous 93 Points | The first of the two white wines, the 2024 Versante Nord is a blend of varieties sourced from six different vineyards at varying altitudes from the north side of the valley, which receives more sunlight during the day. This wine offers a wealth of power, with notes of salted pineapples, fresh sage, smoky earth, and saline. It’s bright with acidity, salinity, and a light wild side, though very well-managed. It had been bottled just three weeks earlier, so this tasting was a preview prior to its release. Drink over the coming 8-10 years.

This wine offers a strikingly pure expression of Mt. Etna’s eastern slopes. Grown on volcanic soils at high elevation, this white blend is taut, mineral, and refreshingly saline, with notes of citrus zest, herbs, and crushed rock. Nearly salty in character, it washes across the palate with ease, showing tart orchard fruits and hints of lemony custard. The 2023 finishes with medium length, leaving a pleasant chamomile air to linger.

Domaine de L’Arlot is one of the seminal properties in Nuits St. Georges.  The domaine was co-owned by Jean-Pierre de Smet, who spent eight years alongside Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac before taking over L’Arlot in 1986.  Today, the domaine consists of 14 hectares planted to mostly Pinot Noir. The 2023 Hautes Cotes de Nuits Le Mont has a fresh, juicy nose of raspberry and cherry that explodes on opening. The Wine Advocate 90 Points | Under screw cap, the De Wetshof Estate 2024 Robertson Limestone Hill Chardonnay offers a simple delivery of citrus, pomelo and wild sage. The wine focuses on brightness and is extremely drinkable, but perhaps it's a little less complex compared to all the other very different Chardonnays in this portfolio. Domaine Pierre Gelin is the leading wine producer in the small village of Fixin (pronounced “Fees-an”). The family domaine was founded in 1925 by Pierre Gelin and is today in the hands of Pierre’s grandson, Pierre-Emmanuel. Pierre-Emmanuel farms organically and works to minimize the impact on the environment in both vineyard and cellar.

The family owns 32 acres in total including parcels in five of the Fixin premier crus and the monopole Clos Napoléon.
