The Gran Reserva cavas are bottle-aged for at least 30 months, while the some “collection” cavas has an optimal ageing period of over 10 years. All the grapes are organically farmed, using the local varieties Mataró and Pansa Blanca, and all the bottles are retailed immediately after being disgorged. A passion for cava that has been rewarded with many international prizes.

For years, wine writers reflexively recommended zinfandel, the American wine, to go with Thanksgiving, the American holiday. That never made sense to me as, in my 25 years writing about wine, the dominant style of zin has been too alcoholic and overwhelming for the Thanksgiving table. But the pendulum is swinging. The Wine Advocate 91 Points | The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is mineral and fresh, with almost spritzy acidity on the palate. This is all about green fruit and soft leaf herbs, gentle persuasions of white pineapple and mint and a salty Margherita character that is really quite attractive.

Complices de Loire La Grande Parcelle Chenin Blanc from Montlouis-sur-Loire, France. This is an elegant white wine made from the Chenin Blanc grape, typical of this Loire region. This wine offers a wonderful balance between freshness and complexity, with aromas of citrus fruits, peach and white flowers, as well as a mineral undertone that reflects the calcareous soils.

The wine has a lively acidity and a soft, refined structure, which provides a refreshing and well-balanced taste. It is an ideal accompaniment to fish dishes, shellfish or goat cheese. La Grande Parcelle is a beautiful representation of the terroir of Montlouis-sur-Loire, with a subtle but present depth.

Vinous 90 Points |  This is juicy in style and remarkably pure, with a subtle tinge of minerality and vividly ripe cherry-berry fruit notes that flow across a stream of fresh acidity. It tapers off crisp and only gently tannic yet poised with medium length. This is fantastic for the difficult 2023 vintage and not your typical Poliziano Rosso, with just 50% of production and 100% Sangiovese.

In an effort to produce a wine that pays honorable tribute to the esteemed AVA, we source our grapes from premium sites throughout the region. This blend includes several of the vineyards that have shown as standouts within the vast and rugged Sonoma Coast.

Bright and layered, the 2024 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay opens with aromas of citrus blossom, green apple, and Asian pear. On the palate, a lively core of lemon curd, crisp pineapple, and citrus zest is framed by subtle oak tones of vanilla and baking spice. The texture is both fresh and rounded, with vibrant acidity and a mineral lift that carries through to a long, clean finish.

Jeb Dunnuck 90 Points | Mostly Viognier (55%) but with other permitted white varieties, the 2022 Côtes Du Rhône Blanc has a medium-bodied, vibrant, pure style to go with lovely peach and tangerine-like aromas and flavors. Drink this outstanding, classy white over the coming 2-3 years. I never cease to be amazed at the quality of the Côtes du Rhône white from this team, especially given the quantities produced.

Deep youthful ruby colour. Intense rich fruity nose crammed with pure blackberry, cassis, cherry and plum aromas interwoven with notes of spice. 93 Points Robert Parker | The NV Old Vine Red Lot 74 is primarily Zinfandel, with some Syrah, Petite Sirah, Carignan, Grenache and Barbera. Spicy and easy to drink, it has aromas of red and black cherries, mint, bitter chocolate and allspice with earthy undertones. The medium-bodied palate is finely chalky and refreshing, with spicy fruit and an easygoing finish.

Domaine les Chenevières was established in the 1850s and has been handed down from father to son through six generations of the Lenoir family of winemaker-growers. Currently run by Benoit Lenoir, the 45-hectare estate is situated in the Saint Maurice de Satonnay, eight miles north of Mâcon, where he has established a reputation for producing high quality Mâcon-Villages. The estate is farmed sustainably, with biodiversity in the vineyard being encouraged and minimal treatments employed. Yields are controlled to obtain the richest grapes possible. Benoit aims for a balanced approach of combining tradition with contemporary winemaking methods, vinifying plot by plot to produce wines with a bright floral and fruit-forward expression and excellent Mâcon typicity.

The Mâcon-Villages appellation covers white wines produced in selected communes of the Mâconnais wine area in southern Burgundy. The landscape of the Mâconnais is one of rolling limestone hills, bordered in the east by the Saône River. The Mont Pele vineyard is south-easterly facing vineyard on a very dry, acidic limestone soil with some clay, which produces a light, fresh and approachable style of Macon-Villages, with the clay component providing good water retention properties, to nourish the vines during the warm summers. The 35-year old vines are pruned according to the Guyot Arcure method, an arched style of pruning, which allows for a better circulation of the sap. Where possible the soils are worked by hand, to reduce the need for synthetic preparations.

Following a gentle pressing, the juice was left to settle with enzymes to clarify the must. Selected yeasts were added and fermentation took place at controlled temperatures of 18 to 20°C, in stainless steel tanks lasting for three weeks. The wine was then racked and left on its fine lees to impart texture and complexity, until bottling.

A quintessential Mâcon-Villages, with a lovely creamy texture lifted by green apple notes and mineral freshness on the crisp finish.

The 20th vintage of Klinker Brick's flagship Zinfandel, where it all started! This wine is made from vineyard blocks up to 120 years old. Delta breezes and the associated fog allow us to retain above average acidity for the region, providing aromas of dark cherry and spices on the nose. Barrel fermentation provides additional structure to a thin skinned varietal. 

The extremely low yields of century old vineyards bring notes of plum and cranberry, with a hint of black pepper. The result is a balanced and complex Zinfandel perfect for both Summer barbecues and Fall fire pits.

Leonor is a 12 year old Palo Cortado Sherry and described as the wild child of Jerez. It shows a light mahogany color with golden tones and a slight orange rim. On the nose intense and complex with notes of hazlenut perfectly balanced with aromas of bitter orange and mature oak. On the palate powerful and intense with toasted notes yet smooth and silky. Due to its power and structure this wine is perfect with mature cheeses and stong meats such as venison. Serve chilled.

91 Points Wine & Spirits | Elegant and refined, with soft touches of candied cherries, walnuts and almonds, this is a textbook Palo Cortado. Aged 12 years in botas, it falls halfway between Amontillado and Oloroso in flavor, but much closer to the former. It needs only smoked trout.

90 Points Wine Enthusiast | This dry Sherry is a touch hot, with alcohol swirling around the glass, but there’s also complex, welcoming aromas of almond, apricot and toffee. Jeb Dunnuck 93 Points | Winemaker Jeffrey Jinda uses a solera-like system of fractional blending to make the NV Brut Excellence, typically adding 12 percent of reserve wine to his non-vintage blends, this one a combination of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. A portion of the reserve wine is used again in the dosage after disgorgement. Given 24 months on the lees, it shows an impressive depth of texture and balanced richness, with lovely notes of creme caramel and brioche.

The Tasting Panel 93 Points | A remarkable value with the poise and presence of wines twice the price. Composed of 60% Char-donnay and 40% Pinot Noir, it rings clear and pure on a nose marked by toast, Asian pear, yellow apple, honeysuckle, and hazelnut; on the palate, lilting, lip-smacking acidity and a creamy tang usher in more orchard fruit enhanced by hints of white fig and apricot.

Decanter 92 Points | A blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir from Mendocino County with 10 g/L of residual sugar, aged a minimum of two years en tirage and six months under cork. 14,000 bottles were produced. Scharffenberger Brut Excellence is made by the traditional méthode champenoise process – whereby the wines are individually bottle-fermented before being riddled and disgorged. The wine is approximately two-thirds Pinot Noir and one-third Chardonnay and undergoes 100% malolactic fermentation. Scharffenberger Brut is made from its own 120-acre vineyards in the Anderson Valley. In addition, Scharffenberger Cellars has long-term contracts with select vineyards in the greater Mendocino County. This type of vineyard selection allows us to choose from the best vineyards in the area which enables us to produce their trademark cuvée.

The wine is two-thirds Pinot Noir which produces a red fruit (cherry and plum) forward nose combined with one-third Chardonnay which adds the tropical expression of litchi nut and mango. The 100% malolactic fermentation adds a vanilla cream character producing a round and full-bodied wine. After approximately two years on the yeast lees, there are notes of freshly baked bread and pastry that enhances the more fruit-forward style of the wine. Finally, after several months on the cork the wine develops caramel and hazel complexors.
