William Larue Weller Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 124.7 Proof 2022 Release
Producer Description
Uncut and unfiltered, this hand-bottled bourbon is barrel proof. Weller substitutes wheat for the traditional rye grain, a production method pioneered by W.L. Weller.
The Antique Collection’s uncut, unfiltered, wheated recipe bourbon is William Larue Weller. The previous release of this wheated bourbon was honored with a Double Gold medal at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The 2022 release was distilled in the spring of 2010 and barrels were aged in warehouses C, K and N. This bourbon registers at 124.7 proof. A nose of toasted coconut, butterscotch and caramel, followed by a touch of mint, dark cherry and molasses on the palate and a full–bodied finish with hints of leather, nutmeg, toffee and vanilla can be found in this year’s offering.
George T Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 136.1 Proof 2024 Release 750ml
George T. Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon — Buffalo Trace Distillery, 2024 Release
George T. Stagg is the crown jewel of Buffalo Trace's Antique Collection — a barrel-proof, unfiltered Kentucky Straight Bourbon that has become one of the most coveted whiskeys in the world. The 2024 release is bottled at a thunderous 136.1 proof from barrels aged over 15 years and two months, drawing on the full depth and concentration that only extended aging in the Kentucky climate can produce. First released in 2002 to meet demand for well-aged, full-strength whiskey, Stagg has since become a benchmark for American bourbon at its most powerful and complex.
The nose is an opulent wave of dark caramel, vanilla, dark cherry, and toasted oak, with hints of espresso and dark chocolate emerging with time. On the palate, the entry is bold and warming — layers of rich toffee, dried fruit, leather, and baking spice unfold with remarkable structure for a whiskey of this proof. The finish is extraordinarily long, with lingering oak, vanilla, and a slow-building heat that rewards patience. Add a few drops of water to open up even greater complexity.

Jim Beam Bourbon White Label 1.0L LITER
Jim Beam Bourbon White Label — Clermont, Kentucky
Jim Beam is the world's best-selling bourbon — a name synonymous with American whiskey for over 225 years and seven generations of the Beam family. The White Label expression is the original, the benchmark, the one that started it all. Distilled at the Beam distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, it is crafted from the same great-great-grandfather's recipe that Jacob Beam first laid down in 1795, aged a minimum of four years in newly charred American white oak barrels, and bottled at 80 proof. Honest, approachable, and endlessly versatile — this is the bourbon that built the category.
The nose is warm and inviting: vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and a hint of grain sweetness. On the palate, it is smooth and medium-bodied with notes of toffee, light spice, and a touch of citrus. The finish is clean and gently warming — elegant and refined for an everyday bourbon at this price point. Perfect neat, on the rocks, or as the backbone of any classic cocktail.
"Elegant. Smooth. Refined. That's what 4 years of aging in newly charred American white oak barrels does to our bourbon." — Jim Beam Distillery

Basil Hayden Toast Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750ml
Basil Hayden has always occupied a distinct corner of the Kentucky bourbon landscape: lighter in body, higher in rye, more refined than robust. Named for a Maryland distiller who brought his craft to Kentucky in the late 1700s, the brand has built its reputation on approachability without sacrificing character. Toast takes that philosophy a step further — a Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished in lightly toasted (rather than deeply charred) new oak barrels, a secondary maturation that coaxes a gentler, more nuanced layer of wood influence into the spirit. The result is a bourbon that feels like the warm end of a bonfire rather than the roar of it.
Dark amber in the glass. The nose is immediately inviting: toasted oak, dried fruit, caramelized sugar, and a whisper of char that adds depth without weight. The palate is light and smooth — toasted wood and vanilla lead, with brown sugar and subtle rye spice in the middle. At 80 proof it is deliberately approachable, with a clean, sweet caramel finish that lingers softly. Easy neat, effortless on the rocks, and a natural fit in a Whiskey Sour or a low-key Old Fashioned.
“Toasted oak complemented by dried fruit and caramelized sugar — bourbon finished in toasted barrels delivering hints of char and caramel sweetness.” — Basil Hayden

We entered the cooper select, toasted and #4 char barrel at 110 proof after coming off the still around 137 proof. OCEAN Voyage 28 made another long run off the Baja Peninsula, through the Tropic of Cancer and down the coast of Central America. The air was hot and heavy with moisture. Rain would have been a relief but it never came.

The humidity, dramatic swings in temperature and ever-changing sea conditions had the effect of bringing balance and richness to the complex array of flavors and tastes you will find in OCEAN Voyage 28.
Michter's U.S. 1 UNBLENDED AMERICAN Whiskey 750ml
Michter’s U.S. 1 Unblended American Whiskey — Louisville, Kentucky | 41.7% ABV
Michter’s U.S. 1 Unblended American Whiskey is one of the most distinctive and misunderstood bottles in American whiskey — and one of the most rewarding. Unlike Bourbon, which by law must be aged in new, charred American oak, Michter’s Unblended American is aged in used, whiskey-soaked barrels, producing a spirit that sits in its own category: richer, more spirit-forward, and free from the constraints of any legal definition. Crucially, it never contains grain neutral spirits — hence the “unblended” distinction that sets it apart from blended American whiskeys. In late 2013, Master Distiller Willie Pratt re-released the U.S. 1 after a nearly three-year absence, declaring it “just right” and “the best it’s ever been.”
The nose is warm and generous: caramel popcorn, butterscotch, and dried fruits with a gentle lift of cinnamon and nutmeg spice. On the palate, it is smooth and approachable — the used-barrel aging delivering a rounder, more mellow character than a typical Bourbon, with a long, warming finish that rewards slow sipping. A whiskey that defies easy categorization and rewards the curious drinker.
“Just right — the best it’s ever been.” — Willie Pratt, Master Distiller, Michter’s Distillery
- Producer: Michter’s Distillery, Louisville, Kentucky, USA
- Style: Unblended American Whiskey — not legally a Bourbon
- Aging: Used, whiskey-soaked oak barrels (not new oak)
- No grain neutral spirits — “unblended” by definition
- ABV: 41.7% (83.4 Proof)
- Size: 750ml
- Tasting Notes: Caramel popcorn, butterscotch, dried fruits, cinnamon, nutmeg, smooth and warming finish
- Best Served: Neat or on the rocks — or in an Old Fashioned or Whiskey Sour
- Food Pairings: Smoked brisket, pecan pie, aged cheddar, dark chocolate, roasted nuts
Smooth, distinctive, and impossible to categorize — Michter’s U.S. 1 Unblended American Whiskey is the benchmark for what American whiskey can be outside the rules.

Michter's U.S. 1 SOUR MASH 750ml
Michter’s U.S.*1 Original Sour Mash Whiskey — Louisville, Kentucky | 750ml
Michter’s Original Sour Mash Whiskey is one of the great American whiskey comeback stories. During the 1970s and 1980s it was the distillery’s single most popular product — then it disappeared from the market in 1989 when the original distillery closed. After 23 years of absence, it made a triumphant return in 2012 as part of the U.S.*1 small-batch line, and whiskey enthusiasts have never looked back. Unlike bourbon or rye, Michter’s Sour Mash occupies its own category: a unique grain selection and the traditional sour mash process — where previously fermented mash acts as a starter for the new fermentation, much like sourdough bread — produce a whiskey of singular character that defies easy classification. The Tasting Panel awarded it 97 points. Wine Enthusiast gave it 93. At under $50, it is one of the most compelling values in American whiskey.
The nose is a showstopper: cherry, toasty vanilla biscuit, and warm burnt sugar. On the palate, a generous stream of flavors unfolds — egg cream, maple syrup, burnt orange peel, cinnamon, gingerbread, ripe peach, and sandalwood — with a long, mellow finish of vanilla, oak, and a faint cherry essence that lingers beautifully. Smooth, buttery, and deeply satisfying.
Tasting Panel 97 — “This uncommon small-batch 86-proof spirit introduces itself with a showstopping perfume of cherry and toasty vanilla biscuit. A stream of flavors ensues, from egg cream to maple syrup, burnt orange peel, and cinnamon.”
Wine Enthusiast 93 — “Resurrected after 23 years, this smooth, buttery American whiskey is worth the wait… a faint cherry essence on the long finish that seems to urge, ‘stir up a few Manhattans already.’”
- Producer: Michter’s Distillery, Louisville, Kentucky, USA
- Expression: U.S.*1 Original Sour Mash Whiskey
- Style: American Sour Mash Whiskey — small batch, 86 proof (43% ABV)
- Size: 750ml
- Tasting Notes: Cherry, vanilla biscuit, maple syrup, burnt orange peel, cinnamon, gingerbread, peach, sandalwood
- Best Served: Neat, on the rocks, or in a classic Manhattan or Old Fashioned
A 97-point American Sour Mash at an honest price — Michter’s U.S.*1 is the benchmark for what this uniquely American whiskey style can be.
