Winemaker Description 

"Locos por el Vino” is a new project from Bodegas Alto Moncayo, aiming to expand their range with high-quality, modern and casual wines produced from the winery’s youngest vineyards, guaranteeing the continuity of the Alto Moncayo project for future generations to come. A local term used in the village of Borja, "Zismero" refers to one who is provocative, jovial, and mirthful, with a complexity and uniqueness that makes its audience think deeply from the pointed jocularity.

Winemaker Description 

Nestled in Navarras sun-kissed vineyards, Faustino VII Kosher tells a story of tradition, care, and distinction, combining the bold, expressive character of Navarras terroir with the elegance and ritual of kosher craftsmanship. This kosher-certified offering from Bodegas Faustino is produced from 100% Tempranillo grapes. It adheres to kosher standards, including certification for Passover.

Distinguished by its ruby red color and a fresh bouquet of red berry fruits and sweet spices. Round on the palate, with a lively acidity, the wine is well balanced and persistent.

As is the case with the Nero d’Avola variety, Frappato also demonstrates Sicily’s full winemaking potential, able to produce a powerful, persistent and very elegant wine that inspires the taster from its very first olfactory notes, which characterise it in an unmistakable manner. Winemaker Description 

Intense ruby red in appearance. Aromas are powerful and concentrated. Good tonicity of floral aromas but also blackberry then caramel and roasted chocolate. Volume of ripe fruit with dominant aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant, associated with notes of liquorice. Opulent and well-structured on the palate, this area is rich in tannins chiseled lace. The acidity is well integrated. 

The wine has a hint of minerality that makes you mouth water. The finish is persistent and fresh. The pairings are multiple and infinite and we can refer to all the pairings of our red Beaujolais, particularly the rabbit terrines, duck, wildfowl, young roast rabbit, a pigeon with peas, small Provencal stuffing, red fruit tarts etc.

James Suckling 92 Points | Flowers, minerals, pink cherries, orange peel and a hint of crushed stones on the nose. Clean and crunchy, with a medium body and a bright, citrusy finish.

The Wine Spectator | A fragrant, floral rosé, with a burst of watermelon and strawberry lemonade notes. Maintains vibrant energy from start to finish, with a saline mineral foundation offsetting the creamy fruit. Balanced and delicious, showing a waft of smoke on the well-meshed finish. Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Rolle.

Winemaker Description 

In this blend of four emblematic Provençal grape varietals, each plays a distinctive role: Grenache contributes roundness, delicacy, and subtle aromas, while Syrah adds power and color. Cinsault, known for finesse and fruity notes, gently balances the strength provided by Grenache and Syrah. Rolle, the iconic white grape of Provence, introduces a touch of tension, freshness, and floral notes to complete this well-balanced blend.

Winemaker Description 

Nat Cool is the brainchild of Dirk Niepoort. Besides Dirk’s activities as owner of Niepoort Wines and Ports, he also owns a small wine distribution company in Portugal.

He created Nat Cool as a response to a market (both in Portugal and abroad) that wanted fun, easygoing, Naturally-made wines that could be enjoyed every day - at home, by the glass in restaurants, out on a fun picnic, etc. The project started in the appellation of Bairrada, working with the indigenous varietal, Baga. As a rule, this varietal produces, big, dark, tannic reds, but Dirk found a way to produce fresh, easy, glou-glou Baga in One-Liter bottles with 12% alcohol and minimal Sulphur added.

Bingo…he was onto something!

Now Nat Cool includes several wines!

The first extension was a white wine from Vino Verde. But not just any Vino Verde. In essence, it is a “Pet Nat”, but at very low pressure, sort of like a Txakoli. Here, the wines are bottled with a touch of sugar that is left to ferment inside the bottle to create a light fizz. It is a historic method that was practiced in the 19th and early 20th centuries in the region. Since the wine is not disgorged, there are also some lees in the bottle. You can let the sediment settle in the bottom of the bottle, or as Dirk likes to, mix it all up for a yummy, leesy, complex version. Alas, Vino Verde with a fun, adventurous attitude!

The next addition was Primata. This is a red wine from the Douro. Dirk challenged his cellar master Luis Pedro to make a Douro red to fit in the NatCool line. Primata is his baby. The high elevation, largely north-facing vineyards give it freshness and crunch. It is foot trodden in lagares where it continues to ferment and then finished in steel where it naturally stabilizes. This is a Douro red like you have never had!

We hope the Nat Cool spirit will continue to grow! But remember, here are the NAT COOL RULES:

Producer Description 

Soft, light and mineral with subtle notes of green pear, lemon and honeydew melon, fresh acidity and a clean finish .This wine features lean bright acidity and minerality.

Winemaker Description 

This Chilean Chardonnay gives you loads of tropical fruits over a soft, clean palate. Take down refreshing, easy-drinking flavors of pineapple, melon, lemon meringue, and starfruit.

Made in a medium-sweet, fruit-forward style, its lightly floral aroma and plush flavors of plums and cherries are well balanced by velvety tannins. It has an intense color, lip-smacking flavor, and pairs well with a wide variety of foods.

James Suckling 94 Points | Vibrant and lifted aromas of green apples, jalapenos, white pepper and fennel. The palate is medium-bodied with bright acidity and a textural, rounded mouthfeel. A nicely balanced blend of 88% sauvignon blanc and 12% semillon.

The 2024 vintage opens with vibrant aromas of lemon meringue, tangerine, and crisp Granny Smith apple. On the palate, a burst of ruby red grapefruit leads the way, layered with juicy melon and a hint of tropical fruit. Lively and expressive, this Sauvignon Blanc shines with bright acidity and a refreshing energy that carries through to the clean, lingering finish. 

Rich, smooth, and beautifully balanced, this California Cabernet Sauvignon showcases ripe dark fruit flavors of blackberry, plum, and black cherry, layered with hints of vanilla, mocha, and sweet oak. Mendocino fruit provides the backbone for this expressive Cabernet Sauvignon. To fully extract color and tannins, the juice was left in contact with the skins for an extended maceration period, drawing layers of aroma and flavors from the fruit while giving this wine its elegant depth and body across the palate.

This is no wimpy Merlot. We make this wine to please even the finickiest of Cab drinkers. Look for aromas and flavors of black cherry, blueberry, and blackberry all tied together with just a kiss of toasty vanilla.

Back in 1985, good friends, Tim Murphy, Dale Goode, and Dave Ready, were deep in their weekly game of liar’s dice when an idea was formulated. On that particularly lively night, the trio decided to make their love of wine official. They pooled their collective talents together and established Murphy-Goode, a serious winery built around a common concept: don’t take life so seriously.

Having worked with Verdicchio solely from the Jesi area for generations, Matelica is a new wine and a new territory for the Garofoli family. Expanding on a partnership with a young and vibrant wine-grower from the high valley of the Esino River valley in the Appenines, Supèra is a "mountain wine" with fresh complexity and an opportunity to experience a new personality of Verdicchio.

Intense and bright in appearance. Pale straw color with attractive highlights. The nose is strong and clean with intensity and finesse from the prolonged aging under flor. Reminiscent of the sea with saline and iodine notes. Extraordinarily dry on the palate but with a smooth and harmonious finish. Subtle salinity and a lingering flavor.

A wine with a Mediterranean charcter born from the combination of an indigenous grape variety, Inzolia, and the most important international white grape variety, Chardonnay. Intense aromas of flowers and white pulp fruit, from peach to golden aplle. Full and vibrant sip, with a persistent final return of citrus notes. The sculpture of prickly pears on the label is by great ceramist Giocamo Alessi from Caltagirone.

Producer Description 

The fruit for Croft Reserve Ruby is sourced in the traditional way, from the highest-quality individual growers in the Douro Valley, where the varying altitude and aspect of the vineyards creates the potential for a complex wine of great character. In the winery, the newly developed, robotic “Port Toes” technology for treading allows the winery to maximize the quality of the fruit by imitating the traditional action of human feet and avoiding damage to the bitter grape seeds.

Fermentation is halted by the addition of grape spirits before all the residual sugar has been fermented, creating a sweet, fortified wine. This vintage-character Porto is blended from wines aged for three to four years in neutral oak barrels to achieve greater complexity than in younger wines.
Tasting Note

A powerful, rich blackcurrant bouquet with subtle hints of cedar and spice. In the mouth black, woodland fruit and chocolate flavors dominate. The wine has good weight and structure with a fine finish.
Food Pairing

Can be enjoyed on its own after a meal, or paired with fruit-based desserts or a rich cheese plate. Made to be enjoyed immediately.

If you've ever encountered a "warm sake" skeptic, heat up a bottle of this Kenbishi "Kuromatsu" and prove to them that warm sake can be one of life's greatest pleasures. With the right amount of heat (around 104°F), hints of cashews, rice, caramel emerge. This 180ml bottle is designed especially for the microwave – remove the cap and heat for 20 seconds.

One cup sakes were first introduced during the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and are perfect for taking on a picnic, a game, or alongside takeout.

While Albet i Noya was established in 1978, its roots in organic craftsmanship date back to the turn of the twentieth century, when the family’s expertise was already well established. Even though the phylloxera epidemic was at its height when their great-great-grandfather Joan Albet i Rovirosa arrived to work in the vineyards in Sant Pau d’Ordal, he stayed there.

They are one of the few wineries left that labels their bottles with “Classic Penedès” rather than “Cava,” a distinction that indicates the wine was made entirely from grapes cultivated, harvested, and vinified on the estate and matured for at least 15 months before distribution.

The Wine Advocate 90 Points | The 2021 Prazo de Roriz is a lighter red with contained ripeness and 13.5% alcohol, designed to be drunk young, that has aromas of berries and herbs with a touch of beeswax and honey.
