100% Savagnin. The lieu-dit Savagnier is located in the commune of Lavigny, close to Balanoz. The vines are planted on gravel and marl soil. This cuvée is made in a non-oxidized style and aged on the lees for 10 months in stainless steel tanks.

Mevushal. The grapes were carefully selected from vineyards in Clarksburg, California. This full bodied and complex Chardonnay exhibits all of the elegant characteristics of the varietal grown in this renowned appellation with top notes of citrus and tropical fruit.

From Seresin, the 2023 vintage (4 stars) of this organically certified wine is highly attractive. Light lemon/green, it is mouthfilling, with fresh, well-ripened flavours of peaches and pineapples, crisp and generous. Drinking well in its youth, it is a vigorous, finely poised, dry wine (0.8 grams/ litre of residual sugar), offering good drinking.

Producer Description 

An 80-20 blend of Marsanne and Roussanne, the 2022 Crozes Hermitage Blanc is a 50-50 blend of barrel-fermented and tank-fermented portions. Malolactic fermentation is blocked. It's a deep golden color, rich, broad and honeyed on the full-bodied palate, then finishes with a bit of white pepper and surprising zestiness.

95-96 Points Robert Parker | Tasted as a sample, the 2021 Ried Stein 1ÖTW Engabrunn Grüner Veltliner offers a deep, fresh and flinty/stony bouquet of ripe fruits and smoky bacon. Full-bodied, rich and dense on the palate, this is an opulent but elegant, fresh, savory and salty Veltliner with spectacular grip and tension. A fascinating wine.

Stein is actually a vineyard that Bernhard farms that’s in the Kamptal, specifically the village of Engabrunn. Bernhard’s village of Feuresbrunn is right on the border of Kamptal and the Wagram and Bernhard has roots in these Engelbrunn vineyards going back to his Great Grandfather who started farming these sites in 1889. Stein means stone and as the name would suggest, this vineyard is loess with a lot of gneiss. It might remind you more of the wines from Renner than the heavy loess wines from Rosenberg, which recall the Lamm more than any other site. Long maceration here in the press prior to natural fermentation in steel. Winemaker Description.

RG | NY is a member of Long Island Sustainable Winegrowing (LISW); not-for-profit organization that provides education and certification for Long Island vineyards in order to reduce the environmental impact. 

Notes of dried orange peel, marzipan, honey, and white flowers. It has a savory finish which marries well with complex food flavors such as dim sum, sticky pork or even slow roasted lamb and can be served slightly less chilled than a conventional white to allow the oak flavors a chance to express themselves.

It is an ancient winemaking method that produces a really interesting, textural wine. This particular winemaking method dates back to about 6000 BC in present-day Georgia. The bunches of white grapes were crushed and then naturally fermented on the skins in large clay amphora (qvevri) which were sealed and buried underground to control the temperature. The fermentation on the skins gives the wine its colour, but also its texture and composite flavours.

Being an adventurous winemaker with an enquiring mind, Corlea Fourie was eager to try out this technique. So every harvest, she would set aside some Chenin Blanc grapes and ferment them naturally and on the skins. But sadly, it never worked. One year, she resolutely decided to give it one last go, but this time used Grenache Blanc grapes instead. The result was a delicious amber wine with complex aromatics including ginger biscuit, tangerine peel, bruised fruit and complex savoury notes.

Today this wine is called Fides, which means ‘trust’ or ‘faith’ in Latin, because it is a fine example of the trust relationship needed between winemaker and nature. It reflects the conviction and the hope of the winemaker to realise the beautiful potential hidden within nature’s bounty. Establishing the delicate relationship to tease out the best, explore the possibilities and honour ancient traditions takes persistence, thoughtfulness, knowledge, experience and care, but most of all trust. Today Bosman Fides is a celebration of that trust.

Our ‘108’ Chardonnay comes from the own rooted and old vines at Wirtz Vineyard. Chardonnay styles are as divisive as politics these days.  The Oregon wine machine is back promoting the advantages of Oregon Chardonnay once again.

This is good news.  After many starts and stops with this grape over the years, Oregon Chardonnay is positioned to be a grape that gains national respect. 

Winemaker Notes

The wonderful aromas of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes are thanks to the fertile slopes of Zichron Ya'akov. Upon tasting this wine, one experiences a rich, delicate sensation, herbaceous fragrances and fruity flavors.

An organic xarel·lo wine with minimum intervention.
 
From the flagship variety of the Penedès, the xarel-lo, comes this organic single-varietal wine. Calcari brings together the purest and most sincere expression of this ancestral variety, native to our territory and strongly rooted in our winemaking tradition.

Its characteristics give it great versatility, making it a variety suitable for the production of long-aged sparkling wines or wines with minimal intervention such as Calcari, a wine that allows us to see its great expressive capacity and its mineral characte. 

Made with a mixture of raisined grapes and others with botrytis, it is an excellent example of a Coteaux du Layon from the Loire, which brings together the best of two worlds. This delicious dessert wine is made 50:50 of noble rot and late harvest grapes. Made biodynamically and with natural yeast, it exhibits succulent flavours of mango, pineapple, and sweet spices such as saffron. A very high acidity makes this wine quite refreshing considering how sweet it is. Fruit and/or nut based desserts, salty blue cheese Deliciously sweet, with good acidity, ideal as an aperitif, with cheese or after dinner. Winemaker Description.

Winemaker Notes

Our 2019 Research Bianco is a skin-fermented white wine blend in which the proportions and varieties change with each vintage. A good friend supplied the grapes from a "research" vineyard on the East End. All the grapes were grown together (a field blend), hand-picked, de-stemmed, crushed by foot and punched down by hand.

Pale lemon color. On the nose, citrus, tropical and flower blossom notes. Flavors of citrus fruits, peach and mango while emerging hints of white flowers. Pairs with fish, sea-food, salads, white meat, and fruits. Winemaker Description. 

Debra of 67Wine.com | Enticing aromas of floral notes, white pepper and stone fruits, this easy drinking wine is balanced with acidity, tropical fruit flavor, melon and a subtle spice on the finish.

Serve chilled and pair with ramen noodles,  white fishes ,  Asian cuisine.

(2019) Decanter 90 Points | Initially a bit restrained on the nose, on the palate it opens to show no lack of substance and structure, with subtle, waxy aromas of ripe apple touched with honey. From just over 0.25ha in the lieu-dit Les Boutières, this is fermented on ambient yeasts in older oak barrels (large and small), before ageing two winters in cask on the lees.
