Made in Venezuela and founded in 1959, Diplomático was bought in 2002 by a group of Venezuelan entrepreneurs and became a 100% privately owned Venezuelan company.

The Reserva Exclusiva is a blend of exclusive rum reserves aged for up to twelve years. Opening up with aromas of orange peel, toffee and licorice, it is smooth on the palate, and follows on with notes of toffee fudge that offers a seductive, long-lasting finish.

Enjoy it neat or on the rocks, it is also a great rum for preparing classic cocktails such as Old Fashioned, Sazerac and Manhattan.

Producer Description 

Mantuano is the replacement for Diplomatico's Reserva rum. 'Mantuano', meaning 'nobleman', reflects Don Juancho's status and his passion for travel and the discovery of new spirits, mainly rums. Don Juancho is present on each of Diplomatico's rums.

Aged for up to eight years, Mantuano is a blend of Column, Batch Kettle and Pot Still rums and made from molasses and sugar cane honeys. It is fantastic when mixed in cocktails, or sipped neat.

Diplomatico single vintage rum is crafted from a selection of exceptional rum reserves, which have been aged in bourbon and single malt whisky casks. Slightly spiced with vanilla and caramel notes. Flavors of nutmeg, tobacco and dried apricots. Soft with a complex long finish.

Dark amber. Vanilla, coffee and chocolate notes. Rich, well-balanced and incredibly flavorsome. Toasted and spicy notes. Slightly dry, concludes with a pleasant and long lasting finish.

Producer Description 

With a mellow yet complex flavor, this rum offers tobacco and leather notes, toasted and smoky. The rounded rum offers a balance that can only be achieved through the Solera method. It is full-bodied while remaining delicate, elegant and velvety. The end evokes attributes borrowed from the oaks in which it aged.
