Tasting Panel 91 Points | A heady perfume of salted lime, basil, dill, and star fruit is dazzling. Just-ripened pineapple makes a vivid first impression, followed by green garden herbs and a line of crushed stone. Crisp and clean.

Winemaker Description 

Established in 1978, the Rose family estate vineyards are situated on the banks of the Wairau River (pronounced “why-row”). Pioneers in the Marlborough region, the Rose family selected vineyard sites along the banks of the Wairau River to grow their grapes. This river provides the wineswith a distinct sense of place and the river’s stratification is the inspiration for the new label design across all the brand’s varietals. The 2020 Sauvignon Blancissourced from six family vineyards across the Marlborough region, all located on the northern side of the Wairau Valley: Home Block, Riverlore, Rapaura, Longbend, The Angler, and Burnside.

Wonderfully expressive with fresh, mouthwatering acidity. Notes of passionfruit, peach, lemon and grapefruit. Finishes clean, dry and refreshing.  Sourced from six family vineyards across the Marlborough region, all located on the northern side of the Wairau Valley: Home Block, Riverlore, Rapaura, Longbend, The Angler, and Burnside.
