• Iconic Cocktails: * The Last Word: Equal parts Green Chartreuse, Gin, Maraschino Liqueur, and Lime Juice.

Green Chartreuse is the only liqueur in the world with a completely natural green colour It is powerful and unique. Only two Chartreuse monks know the identity of the 130 plants, how to blend them and how to distill them into this world famous liqueur. They are also the only ones who know which plants they have to macerate to produce the natural green and yellow colours. And they alone supervise the slow ageing in oak casks.

How to drink it: To bring out all its flavour, it should be consumed very cold, even on the rocks. Traditionally considered an after dinner drink, Chartreuse is more and more being enjoyed as a long drink.

St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur — France 750ml

St-Germain is the world's first elderflower liqueur crafted in the traditional French artisan style — and it remains the benchmark. Each spring, wild elderflowers are handpicked at peak bloom in the French Alps, then macerated in eau de vie using a unique technique that extracts the delicate essence of each blossom before it fades. The result is bottled by vintage year, numbered, and released in limited quantities — a liqueur that is as much about craft and seasonality as it is about flavor.

The liqueur pours a pale, luminous gold. The nose is immediately captivating — fresh elderflower, ripe pear, white peach, and grapefruit with a subtle floral sweetness. On the palate, it's lush and silky with a caramel-touched summer peach character and a clean, white-petal finish of remarkable texture and length. Endlessly versatile: stunning in a Spritz with Champagne and soda, elegant in a St-Germain Tonic, or used as a cocktail modifier to lift almost anything in the glass.

Cointreau L'Unique Orange Liqueur — France

Cointreau is the original triple sec — the benchmark against which every orange liqueur is measured. Distilled in Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou since 1875, L'Unique is crafted from a precise blend of sweet and bitter orange peels sourced from around the world, triple-distilled in copper pot stills to achieve its signature clarity and balance. At 80 proof, it is at once intensely aromatic and supremely versatile — the essential building block of the Margarita, Cosmopolitan, and Sidecar, and a sublime digestif on its own over ice.

The nose opens with a sophisticated orange pulp bouquet that, after aeration, shifts to dry, elegant peel. On the palate, the entry is intensely orange peel-like yet more sweet than bittersweet; the midpalate is deeply orangey, sweet, and sublimely juicy. The finish is ideally citrusy, tart, and astringent before turning lithe and sweet — a textbook expression of what orange liqueur can be.

Chartreuse Jaune (Yellow) — Liqueur, 43% ABV

Made by the Carthusian monks of the Grande Chartreuse monastery in the French Alps since 1838, Chartreuse Yellow is one of the world’s most extraordinary and irreplaceable liqueurs. Like its iconic Green sibling, it is produced by macerating over 130 different herbs, plants, roots, and botanicals — a secret recipe known only to two monks at any given time.

Where Green Chartreuse is bold and assertive, Yellow is the softer, more honeyed expression — prized for its floral complexity, gentle sweetness, and remarkable depth. The nose opens with wildflower honey, cardamom, anise, and citrus zest, with coriander and herbal notes weaving through. On the palate, it is lush, warming, and beautifully balanced — “gloriously lush,” as Wine Enthusiast put it, awarding it 90–95 points.

Founded in 1870 and spanning over 400 hectares, Laubade is the largest single-estate producer in the appellation, farming its own vineyards and distilling exclusively on-site using traditional Armagnac alembic stills. Armagnac is France’s oldest brandy, predating Cognac by over a century, and Bas-Armagnac is its finest expression — lighter, more aromatic, and more terroir-driven than its more famous cousin. Forbes Magazine: This is an exceptionally smooth Cognac. Matured for four years. On the nose, it offers up rich floral aromas of violet, jasmine, roses, white flowers and peonies, along with intense fruity notes of sweet caramel apples, honey and both fresh and dried fruit, especially prune, peach and apricot, along with Sauterne like notes of golden raisin and fig, as well as some passion fruit and a touch of vanilla. There is also an earthy, black tea like quality in the background, and a hint of waxiness.

Recently, Camus, the largest of the family owned Cognac producers, released a new addition to its core range of Cognacs—labeled Intensely Aromatic. The Cognacs were the culmination of a two-decade long effort to craft Cognacs that are notably more aromatic and flavorful than the norm.

Camus’ Cognacs have always had a reputation for being particularly aromatic. To further enhance that character Camus developed a proprietary distillation protocol, which it calls “Intensity,” that measurably increases the concentration of terpenes and esters in their Cognac, producing what the company describes as an “instant of intensity.”

Terpenes are a large and diverse class of organic compounds, produced by a variety of plants. They are closely associated with floral aromas. Esters are chemicals produced by the interaction of alcohols and fatty acids, and are closely associated with fruity aromas.

In crafting Intensely Aromatic, the firm utilized older casks made from lightly toasted, fine grained oak. The age and toasting of the casks minimized the aroma and flavor components that were contributed by the cask wood and further enhanced the prominence of fruit and floral aromas.

94 Points Wine Enthusiast | Rich, comforting caramel and vanilla aromas show that there's plenty of oak influence in this Cognac. The palate entices with caramel, cocoa and espresso, leading into a long, fudgy finish with hints of baking spice, orange peel, almond and coconut. Grande Champagne region.

Long ago, in the 19th century, Cognac producers such as Elie Ferrand (8th generation) used a variety of casks to create a fascinating range of taste and complexity. Reviving this forgotten tradition, Ferrand Réserve is first aged in classic Cognac barrels and further matured in Banyuls barrels. This ancient technique creates a one-of-a-kind cognac that highlights the myriad nuances of the legendary “Rancio Charentais” with aromas of nuts, prune, and spice. Complex and meditative, it is the perfect sipping Cognac. Producer Description.

Golden yellow liqueur with fine green shades reminding of the elder bush. Powerful and exotic nose, with lychee and spices (saffron, licorice) notes. Floral tasting notes enhanced by a touch of acidity. Various flowers blossoming on the palate: pink, hawthorn, fresh and dry flowers intermingle.

Liquor inseparable from the Spritz Blanc cocktail where elderberry liqueur replaces Apérol, it is very difficult to execute.

• Eau-de-vie distilled in Ribeauvillé, Haut-Rhin, in the Alsace region of France
• Distilled from Poire Williams (known as Bartlett Pears in the US); the fruit is picked and stored in small wooden boxes (5 kg maximum) to allow for further, even ripening
• Crushed and then fermented for eight weeks in fiberglass tanks with no additional sugar or yeast
• Twice distilled on a Charente-style copper pot still
• After distillation, the eau-de-vie is placed in stainless steel vats for 6–8 years. These vats are kept in an outdoor courtyard and the opening covered in mesh so that the spirit may blow off unwanted esters and benefit from fluctuation in temperature.
• Approximately 11 pounds of pears are required to produce one 375 ml bottle of eau-de-vie
• Pungent green pear skin & cinnamon stick on the nose transitions to a full mouthfeel that hints at white and purple flowers with an underlying note of sweetened red bean paste before finishing dry and dusty
• 42% ABV

A joyous translation of dimensional pear flavors, this is an eau-de-vie that verily expresses the Williams Pear but with a personality.

Grand Mathilde XO · Orange & Cognac Liqueur · France

Grand Mathilde XO brings intense orange aromatics together with the richness of aged brandy. The producer traces the recipe back 200 years: sweet orange peels are macerated in grape spirit, then distilled, before refined, aged brandy is added and the blend receives further aging before bottling.

The producer describes a refined nose of intense orange with a hint of vanilla. Powerful aromatics, a rich body, and a long finish give this liqueur a voluptuous, rounded character, equally inviting as a small after-dinner pour or an orange component in a cocktail.

The result is a liqueur with a refined nose, with an intense orange aroma and a hint of vanilla. The flavor is powerful, the aromatics are potent and the body is rich. The spirit gives remarkable length on the finish and an overall voluptuous, round taste.
