94 Points Vinous | The 2019 Syrah Truquilemu Vineyard – Lot 108 from Empedrado, Maule, was aged for 2 years in used barrels. Intense purple in hue. The nose presents notes of black pepper, bacon, blackberry jam and raspberry, plus hints of rum cake, chocolate and black olives. Smooth in feel, it has a compact core with very fine-grained, slightly reactive tannins enlivened by the precise freshness, all compressed into the dry-farmed palate. Will grow in the bottle. (2019).
