Surprise, Surprise!  This is as tasty as any Cabernet you can buy for $15, that’s for sure!  We had it with roast chicken, smashed potatoes,  buttered string beans and it just worked.  This is a medium-bodied Cab; its dark plum and cherry fruit flavors are upfront, mouth-filling and leave a mouth cleansing fruit aftertaste.  Another of our buyer Oscar’s really great deals.  - Dorothy & Bernie Follow the Drinker®

Tasting Notes: straw yellow color with clean and intense aromas of green apples, pears and citrus fruit such as lemons. Medium-bodied with a soft mouthfeel and well-integrated acidity. On the palate you can also find green apples, lemons and pears. A lovely Aperitif white wine to start off any occasion. It pairs well with fresh cheeses, seafood and white sauce pasta dishes, as well as seafood and poultry.

This Chardonnay has straw color with golden highlights. Nose of pear, pineapple and acacia flowers. Fresh on the palate and medium-bodied with distinct notes of exotic fruit on the finish.

Aromas and flavors of black plum, toasted oak, tobacco, sage, and curry with a slightly chewy, crisp, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body. A spicy, woody Merlot with a nice food-friendly juiciness.

A vivacious, fresh young wine with a bouquet of guava, grapefruit and green apple. The flavors are brisk and bright on the palate with a cheerful touch of Sauvignon?s classic grassiness on the finish.

Oscar Garcia Moncada - Lead Wine Sommelier 67Wine.com | Felipe Tosso crafts a solid expression of what Carmenere should be: Focus nose of roasted red bell peppers, black olives and smoked game meat. On the palate ripe flavors of blackberries, cassis and plum combine with medium acidity. Very complete and satisfying finish. Pair with a "Lomo Salteado" peruvian style seared beef tenderloin with onions and peppers.

A delightful and fun red blend bursting with a nose of red and black fruit and touch of spice. Medium-bodied with silky tannins and smooth finish.

Medium bodied with blackberry jam aromas against a slightly spicy and minty background. Sweet soft tannins and concentrated red fruit flavors make this an attractive smooth wine for any occasion.

A medium-bodied white with aromas of green apple, papaya, lemon zest and wet stone. Fresh and clean with tangy acidity and a more mineral finish. 

Expert Review - Vintage 2021 

Vinous 93 Points | The 2021 Chardonnay Cordillera de los Andes comes from the Talinay vineyard in Limarí. 50% was aged in French barrels, 23% of them new. Yellow with a greenish sheen. The nose offers green apple notes with hints of pear, acacia, hazelnuts and a whiff of praline over a bed of oak. In the mouth it has a saline feel with a slightly creamy flow and pert freshness. A long-lasting wine.

Lapostolle Grand Selection Sauvignon Blanc is a pale yellow with green edges. Very clean and expressive nose of white fruit and citrics. Fresh and unctuous palate with long finish.

The ideal companions for fish like sea bass and sea food in general.

92 Points James Suckling | A floral sauvignon blanc here that also shows restraint. Limes, white blossoms and a touch of nectarines. Bone-dry and textured on the palate with bright acidity. Good weight in the middle. Nothing showy here. Pithy and gastronomic.

'Gato Negro Merlot is a smooth red wine, fresh and intense flavors and aromas with notes of plum and vanilla. Wonderful and full of flavor, delicious mouthfeel, medium body, smooth tannins and a pleasant finish.

Producer Description 

Here the delicate color of Sauvignon appears, pale yellow notes, delicate and subtle, with greenish notes. On the nose, tropical fruits appear, citrus fruits such as grapefruit, and at the end very subtle herbaceous notes, the palate is sweet, intense, with a fresh and interesting acidity, which leaves a very balanced finish, perfect to enjoy at any time.

Well-structured and vertical on the palate, but there is also fluidity in the center palate filled with fruit. Tight grip of crunchy tannins at the end before a long, fruit-expressive finish. Drink from 2025.

The Wine Advocate 92 Points | The 2022 Cuvée Alexandre Cabernet Sauvignon strikes a desirable balance between soft, creamy approachability and a serious expression of its origins. On the nose, red and black fruits blend with fresh rosemary and sage aromas, all framed with judicious new oak. 100% unoaked organic Cabernet Sauvignon from the Los Guindos vineyard in Maipo Valley, Chile. Made with naturally farmed grapes, it’s a pure and captivating low intervention wine.

Fermented with native yeasts and aging in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and fruit notes. Very low dosage of sulfites applied only before bottling.

James Suckling 96 Points | A nice touch of baked cherries and dark chocolate to the deep blackberry fruit. Ink and a touch of graphite and dried herbs. Full-bodied and pretty powerful with fine-grained tannins and a long, extensive finish. 68% carmenere, 16% cabernet sauvignon,15% merlot and 1% cabernet franc. Give it two more years to let the fruit settle more.

Vinous 96 Points | Embracing a Bordeaux-style approach, Le Petit Clos is the second wine of Clos Apalta. The 2021 Le Petit Clos combines 68% Carménère, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc, all sourced from the Apalta Vineyard in Colchagua. Displaying a purple hue in the glass, it exhibits a ripe character mellowed by the fresh nature of the vintage. It offers plum and blackberry aromas along with bay leaf, boldo and menthol hints over an ashy marmalade core. Indulgent, plush and rich on the palate, the soft and overwhelming mouthfeel lingers long with a precise, juicy and slightly refreshing personality. The 2021 vintage is indeed a standout for Clos Apalta.
