The Producers
The Armato family has been involved in the olive trade and the production of olive oil for multiple generations. It was over three decades ago in 1982 that we were first introduced to Aldo Armato. Aldo was small in stature and modest in nature but fiercely proud of his long family tradition of producing olive oil from the ancient groves of trees (exclusively the Taggiasca variety) planted in the hills above the town of Alassio on the Ligurian coast.
Aldo and Laura’s legacy has been handed down to their daughter, Alessandra, and her husband, Giordano Mazzariol. Alessandra and Giordano form a handsome and dynamic couple whose energy and intelligence effect continuous improvement in the quality that blesses their lovely olive oil. They have combined their talents to extend the use of their locally renowned olive oil to make a series of products that are devastatingly delicious.

Alain Graillot Crozes Hermitage ROUGE 2022 750ml
Winemaker Description
In France’s Northern Rhone Valley, there are few names as revered as Graillot. It was in 1985 that the late, legendary Alain Graillot, who after working with the venerable Jacques Seysses at Domaine Dujac, came back to his home in Crozes-Hermitage to start his own domaine. With each passing year his devotion to the art of making hauntingly delicious Syrah from his organically farmed, stone-laden vineyards, was rewarded with an ever growing and highly dedicated following around the world. Alain’s sons Maxime and Antoine have been in charge since 2008, continuing the legacy set forth by their father. All the work is still completely the same as it ever was: hand-harvesting, organic farming, whole-cluster fermentation, and aging the wines primarily in 1-to-3 year old barrels purchased from some of the top estates in Burgundy.
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2022
James Suckling 94 Points | "A textural, balanced and harmonious red with such patina already. The nose shows notes of dark cherries, fresh plums, forest floor and warm spices. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Dense and velvety, with a kick of peppercorns. Juicy, vivid and fresh finish. Drink or hold."

Albert Boxler Edelzwicker Reserve Organic Alsace 2022 750ml
Our Professional Review
A blend of 40% Pinot Gris, 35% Muscat, 25% Riesling. This is one of my favorite Alsace whites because of its amazingly fragrant nose of flowers, that I think the Muscat and Pinot Gris brings to this wine. It is like smelling great perfume and when it enters your mouth you taste all the complex flavors the three grape varieties bring to the wine with the acidity of the Riesling making it both lush and crisp at the same time. There is a certain creaminess and lushness that this particular wine envelopes your mouth with that makes me just love it. Bernie, Follow the Drinker®
Winemaker Description - Importer Notes
"The Edelzwicker, is a rare blend (one of two produced by Boxler) and often features fruit from his grand cru parcels. Jean Boxler says, “To find the right balance for the Edelzwicker Réserve, I cannot hesitate to steal from my more prestigious cuvées.” Think of this bottling as his musical supergroup. Its purpose is to showcase what an Alsatian white tastes like when some of the region’s best grapes—which usually shine on their own—come together and harmonize. The result is a floral, luscious, and medium-bodied masterpiece, with notes of orchard fruit and tangerine. Incredibly versatile at table, it would be a match made in heaven with Chris Lee’s soufflé or a baked fish with grilled vegetables, but it would also complement a variety of Chinese, Indian, or Thai dishes that have a little spice." - Kermit Lynch
Albert Boxler Muscat Reserve Alsace 2018 750ml
Winemaker Description
Fifty/fifty blend of Muscat Ottonel and Muscat d’Alsace, this is a truly breathtaking creation. The aromas are pure, soft, and ethereal, with an understated class that comes from the Ottonel. The palate is layered with white fruits, slightly smoky hints, and a heavy dose of granite minerality.
Much like Boxler’s Pinot Blanc Réserve from Brand, it shows its terroir in striking fashion. Dry Muscat doesn’t get any better than this (and, as I once discovered with a 1959, it is one of Alsace’s greatest agers).
Albert Boxler Pinot Blanc 2020 750ml
Importer Description
This Pinot Blanc is a masterful display of subtlety and refinement. Honeysuckle, peaches, and stone don’t shout at, but whisper seductively to your nose and palate." - Kermit Lynch.
Coming from vines located mainly at the bottom of hillsides and on granite soil, this Pinot Blanc borders on insolence in its elegance and deliciousness. It is very far from the classic style that is often found in Alsatian Pinot Blancs, which is quite simple. Here, Jean Boxler has done a real job in the vineyards as well as in the winemaking where we feel a much finer and more mineral side.
On the palate, the attack is precise, there is, as with his Sylvaner, a beautiful maturity that brings a real delicacy. The wine has a sensual texture, very silky, no aggressiveness emerges.
This is really not just a simple Pinot Blanc, it is extraordinarily long, precise and delicious.

Albet i Noya Penedes Petit Albet Brut Reserva Traditional Method Classic Penedes 2023 750ml
While Albet i Noya was established in 1978, its roots in organic craftsmanship date back to the turn of the twentieth century, when the family’s expertise was already well established. Even though the phylloxera epidemic was at its height when their great-great-grandfather Joan Albet i Rovirosa arrived to work in the vineyards in Sant Pau d’Ordal, he stayed there.
They are one of the few wineries left that labels their bottles with “Classic Penedès” rather than “Cava,” a distinction that indicates the wine was made entirely from grapes cultivated, harvested, and vinified on the estate and matured for at least 15 months before distribution.

Alfredo Maestro Vina Almate Tempranillo 2021 750ml
Winemaker Description
Wine made with only grapes, well-kept vineyards, and healthy land.”
This is the mantra of Castellano winegrower Alfredo Maestro, a bright light amongst an abyss of industrially farmed, over-ripe, over-oaked, and over-manipulated wine-scape that is the Ribera del Duero these days.
Alfredo Maesto is a city man, who has become a farmer as a choice and not because of circumstances. He is guided by passion and love, which we find in each of his bottles. His production is mainly of reds (Tempranillo and Garnacha) which can be drank both young and aged; then there’s the LoveAmor, the albillo (white grapes) pure which surprises even the most demanding of tasters. Alfredo Maestro manages some vineyards near Madrid, but mainly in Castilla y Leon, in Penafel in the Ribera near Valladolid (the Spanish Bolgheri), land which has always celebrated the most famous Spanish reds. To process natural wines in this piece of land is like finding yourself on the frontline in the Caporetto battle and yet, Alfredo Maestro, teacher both in name and facts, acting as a righteous Charon he takes on the task of ferrying heretic sommeliers from vanilla wines with shavings icing towards the right way of pure, real wine. Winemaker Description.
Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre Veronese 2022 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2022
The Wine Spectator 90 Points | Alison Napjus writes: Creamed black cherry and black raspberry fruit is structured by chewy tannins and fresh acidity in this balanced red. Shows a subtle underpinning of sanguine iron and earth accents, with appealing details of dark chocolate shavings, dried mint and anise that linger on the finish. Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Sangiovese. Drink now through 2029.
James Suckling 92 Points | A fruity wine with bright raspberries, pressed flowers, bay leaves, sweet spice and forest floor. The attack is firm, with velvety tannins, a medium to full body and crisp acidity. Chewy with a chocolaty aftertaste. A bit chalky in the finish. Drinkable now, but best from spring 2025.

James Suckling 93 Points | Manzoni bianco is a super fresh grape variety, a valuable resource in view of the rising temperatures in this era of climate change. Aromas of pears, white peaches, lime peel and lemon leaves. It’s soft on the palate, with a silky texture, sharp acidity, peach flavors and a polished finish in spite of its citrus peel aftertaste.

Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2022
James Suckling 92 Points | Rich and expressive, with blackcurrants, black cherries, mocha, cedar and hints of spices. The full-bodied palate is deep yet bright and focused with a supple texture and lingering ripe berries and savory nuances. Refined and already attractive, but better from 2027.
Decanter Magazine 92 Points | A blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot, and 2% Merlot. Half the wine was barrel-fermented in 50% new French oak, while the rest was fermented in stainless steel, then aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak. Fragrant and packed with sweet red berry fruit, strawberry preserves, and cherry compote, it features gentle, soft tannins that make it very approachable from the pull of the cork. The tannins do build, however, becoming more drying and overarching on the finish, with some of the bright fruit character fading slightly. Nevertheless, this is a lovely wine, best enjoyed with well-salted meats.

Monica Larner Robert Parker 95 Points | The Altesino 2019 Brunello di Montalcino boasts a rich and savory side that this wine wears very well. There is a beautiful level of dark fruit that folds into the wine's velvety texture. Blackberry and plum envelop the palate, adding elegant full-bodied volume and fine tannins along the way. It moves seamlessly to the palate with equally harmonious structure and a great, long finish. Medium to full-bodied, it lasts for ages. Altesino Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Montosoli 2019 1.5 Liter MAGNUM
Altesino Brunello Di Montalcino Vigna Montosoli 2019 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2019
The Wine Advocate 97 Points | From a beautiful site that must be seen to be believed, the Altesino 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Montosoli is redolent with dark fruit, blackcurrant and crushed slate. The mineral element of Montosoli and its schistic galestro-rich soils comes through beautifully in this vintage to add a linear sense of immediacy and verticality to the bouquet. The mouthfeel is especially elegant, and the wine's acidity is delivered expertly to showcase freshness but more importantly to highlight the quality of the fruit. The effect is very tonic and bright, and you get hints of baked brioche or oven-baked Italian focaccia bread, thanks to careful aging in Slavonian oak. This is a 12,000-bottle release.
Vinous 97 Points | An enticing blend of steeped plums, blood orange, sage and sweet smoke makes the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Montosoli a total pleasure on the nose. Elegant and soothing, it flows across the palate with a silken wave of ripe red fruits and spices as saline minerals slowly saturate under an air of violet inner florals.
Decanter 95 Points | Elisabetta Gnudi took over the Altesino estate in 1992 and has continued with the Montosoli bottling, which has been produced since 1975. The 2019, harvested at the very end of September, is introverted to start with but the nose eventually hints at porcini with liquorice root and bark. Sleek cherry and raspberry provide the backdrop on the palate, yet that appealing earthy tone pervades. Racy with smooth, vertical tannins clinging in all the right places, it displays cleverly balanced structure and stuffing.
Winemaker Description
One of the most sought after wines from Montalcino, Montosoli is consistently a blockbuster red. Its intense ruby red color tends towards elegant garnet with age. On the nose, it shows a complex personality with a delicious blend of black cherry, raspberry, violet, licorice, vanilla and black pepper. Extremely enticing, opulent and elegant on the palate, with a warm, long-lasting finish, Montosoli is a wine for special occasions
Pair this wine with beef bourguignon and stroganoff, lamb shank, and roasted rabbit.
