Winemaker Description
Sea Sun is a California Chardonnay whose character speaks to the unique coastal regions where it is sourced. Their diverse vineyard sites span several hundred miles, and even subtle differences in temperature and the strength of the wind leave their mark on the grapes.
The result is a wine that combines some of our favorite characteristics of this varietal, with fruit flavors, oak and acidity in harmony and balance. Both lush and crisp, with scents of lemon zest and flavors of peaches and apricots, this wine suits a wide range of palates. Winemaker Description.

Seghesio Family Vineyards Zinfandel Sustainable 2022 750ml
Expert Review - Vintage 2022
Wine Spectator 93 Points | Vivacious and briary, this Zin is generous with personality, offering blackberry, licorice and orange peel accents that zip along the zesty finish. Drink now through 2032. (2022).
Winemaker Description

Its intricate depth perfectly complements indulgent dishes like hearty short ribs, velvety pork belly, or luxurious gnocchi gorgonzola, enhancing the dining experience with robust yet nuanced harmony. Winemaker Description.
Segla Margaux 2nd Label of Chateau Rauzan Segla 2015 750ml
Winemaker Description
Deep ruby in appearance, Segla delivers aromas of blueberry and vanilla on the nose. On the palate it is medium bodied with silky tannins.
Expert Reviews
Neal Martin of Wine Spectator writes 90-92 Points | The 2015 Segla is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, and a "seasoning" of 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, representing just over half the total crop, matured in 25% new wood. It has a fragrant, very precise bouquet with mineral-rich, very pure blackberry, blueberry and cold flint-like aromas. There is wonderful tension here for a deuxième vin. The palate is medium-bodied with a juicy opening, just a tingle of spice on the tip of the tongue. There is very fine tension here, moderate weight but great persistence and sense of energy on the finish. On a budget? Thinking of a second wine? Look no further. Drinking 2019 - 2033. (2015).
James Suckling 92-93 Points | A solid red with a dense palate of ripe fruit, chewy tannins and a savory finish. This shows structure and reserve. Excellent second wine from Rauzan. (2015).
James Molesworth of Wine Spectator writes: This has a mouthwatering singed alder note through the middle, with hints of juniper and dried bay leaf adding range to the core of mulled plum and fig fruit. A toasty style, broad in feel but accessible. Drink now through 2027. (2015).
Selbach 'Incline' Riesling Dry 2021 375ml HALF BOTTLE
Winemaker Description
Vinified in stainless steel, with just a hint of residual sugar, this wine vividly represents all that Mosel wine should be—fruity with vibrant acidity, clarity, and precision; all highlighted by intense slate-driven minerality. As an introduction to what one can glean from great Mosel wine, Selbach’s ‘Incline’ is incredible.

Winemaker Description
Select is made by carefully blending 30 botanicals including juniper berries and rhubarb root. The result is a complex and perfect balanced bittersweet taste.
Bright ruby red with orange reflections. Vigorous and tonic main note, with a hint of essential oils and citrus fruits, supported by a balsamic and fresh note of juniper, resin, eucalyptus and menthol distillate. Complex, herbaceous secondary notes. The taste is very intense and complex, with prevailing bitter notes due to the roots and bark. Spicy, tropical notes that bind to citrus notes. Pleasantly persistent aftertaste with fresh and lively notes due to the essential oils of citrus fruits.
Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva 2020 750ml
Winemaker Description
The ruby red color with garnet hues, translucent and brilliant, announces bright, mature and refined aromas. The fresh scent of violet is perfectly integrated by notes of jam, plums, blackcurrants and oriental spices. The palate is solid, wellstructured and warm in its embrace, but always well-balanced, thanks also to fresh bursts of balsam and medicinal herbs and berries. The aftertaste presents toasted hints before returning to the spice route.
Expert Rating
James Suckling writes: Clean and focused with blackberry and dark-bark aromas and flavors. Medium to full body and firm, creamy tannins with length and focus. Lavender and berries with chocolate undertones. Very polished and flavorful. Drink or hold. - James Suckling 94
Eric Guido writes: Dried violets give way to lavender, dusty blackberry and sage as the 2020 Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva blossoms in the glass. It’s silky in texture yet cool-toned and crisp with ripe wild berries that cascade across a core of vibrant acidity. A subtle coating of fine tannin lingers as the 2020 finishes pleasantly chewy and long, leaving a licorice tinge. Drinking 2024 to 2028. - Vinous 90
Walter Speller writes: Mid-to-deep ruby. Appealing raspberry, damson and violet nose with some complexity to it; a kind of new-generation Cannonau focusing on fruit and freshness rather than concentration and richness. Finesse and succulence on the palate. Looking for a red to go with grilled or pan-fried fish? This is your wine. Drinking 2023 to 2028. - Jancis Robinson 17
Sella & Mosca Vermentino Di Sardegna, La Cala 2023 750ml
Winemaker Notes
La Cala has aromas of fresh citrus and tropical fruit and white flowers accented by a mineral note and a hint of the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation. The wine has firm acidity with a soft, balanced palate which leads to a lingering finish.
Vermentino wines are a versatile match for a wide array of appetizers and entrees, especially shellfish and seafood dishes.
Selvagrossa Muschen Rosso Blend Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. Marche 2022 750ml
Expert Review
Bart Hopkins 67Wine.com | Bart as many of you know by now has the great ability to find delicious well made wines from time producers. Selvagrossa a winery in the Marche region of Italy, owned by brothers Alberto and Alessandro Taddei farm just a handful of hectares (think of a hectare as a football field squared) of vineyard in and around the town of Pesaro, a few kilometers from Adriatic. Muschen is their entry level wine and is absolutely a joyous red made of 50% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Franc.
The 2022 “Muschèn” is a blend of those three grape varieties and it is fermented and aged in stainless steel to keep maximum freshness and fruit flavors. Muschèn is the quintessential everyday Italian red, with that classic red fruit on the nose from the Sangiovese, a plushness in the mid-palate from the Merlot, and complex herbs and mineral notes from the Cabernet Franc. Bart thinks you will love his discovery.
Winemaker Description
Muschen translates to ‘firefly’ in the local dialect and is the nickname of winemaker Alberto Taddei, who farms 4 hectares along the Adriatic coast with his brother Alessandro. A blend of 50% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, all of which are fermented separately in stainless steel then blended. This wine shows tones of brambly berries and plums with fresh mint accents and brooding tobacco and spice elements on the finish.
Brothers Alberto and Alessandro Taddei farm just a handful of hectares of vineyard in and around the town of Pesaro, and this Adriatic-influenced region produces wines of incredible personality. Pesaro is an overlooked treasure of a village in the northern Marche, hugging the Adriatic coast. As you travel by car south and west of the village, you find yourself winding down hillside roads with lush green pastures, farms, and an occasional factory or two.
Libero Taddei, the grandfather of the current generation, Alberto and Alessandro, diversified his livelihood by planting vines on the hillsides. Sangiovese was a natural selection, but grapes such as Merlot and Cabernet Franc were also found to be well suited to the vineyards. Today at Selvagrossa, there are almost four hectares of vineyards that surround Mamma Anselma’s house and the winery, and another half hectare they work with in a coastal vineyard north of Pesaro. The farming has been certified organic since 2017, but Selvagrossa has practiced sustainable farming for many years. The winery at Selvagrossa is very simple, not a lot of bells and whistles, but it makes delicious and complex wines.
The 2022 “Muschèn” is a blend of 50% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Franc. No oak is used; it is fermented and aged only in stainless steel. “Muschèn” is the quintessential everyday Italian red, with that classic red fruit on the nose from the Sangiovese, a plushness in the midpalate from the Merlot, and some complex herbs and mineral notes from the Cabernet Franc.

Senorio De Libano Rioja Castillo de Sajazarra Reserva 2017 750ml
Winemaker Description
Attractive color, colored, pillory red with violet reflects. Very fruity on the nose, hazelnut and vanilla notes. Unctuous on mouth solid structure, mature tannins and sweets, armonious and long.
Senorio de P. Pecina Rioja Reserva 2016 750ml
Expert Review - Vintage 2016
The Wine Advocate 93 Points | I love the textbook nose of the 2016 Señorío de P. Peciña Reserva, as it is earthy, spicy and developed, with notes of leather and vanilla and a touch of smoke and brick dust. It has ripe fruit without excess and a medium-bodied palate with great balance and freshnesjs. It has pungent flavors and is powerful and ripe without excess at 14.5% alcohol and with polished chalky tannins. This matured in American oak barrels for 36 months, during which time it was racked every six months. 42,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2020.
Winemaker Description
Senorio P. Pecina Blanco Rioja Organic 2018 750ml
Critic Notes
Josh Raynolds writes: Extremely pale onion skin. Peach pit, dried pear, ginger and a hint of beeswax on the pungent nose. Chewy and focused on the palate, offering nicely concentrated orchard and citrus fruit flavors that pick up a subtle floral accent on the back half. Finishes with very good persistence, leaving notes of chamomile, honeysuckle and bitter pear skin behind. Drinking 2021 to 2025. - Vinous 92
Luis Gutierrez writes: The young white 2018 Señorío de P. Peciña Cosecha Blanco is quite pale, young and fruit-driven, as it corresponds to an unoaked Viura fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and bottled quite early. It's clean and harmonious, with aromas of white pear and flowers, quite elegant. The palate is fresh, but the wine has weight and fills your mouth; 2018 is a cool vintage and it shows. The flavors are focused and clean, and there is a pleasant bitter twist on the finish. - Robert Parker Wine Advocate 90
Sarah Jane Evans MW, Matthew Forster MW, Beth Willard write: Aromatic with honeysuckle, white roses. Fresh lemon and grapefruit pith combine with spicy, woody notes and cinnamon. A long, savoury finish. Drinking 2021 to 2025. - Decanter 90
Winemaker Notes
Pale straw-yellow color with green hints. Fresh and clean on the nose with hints of green apple and peach. On the palate, this wine has good acidity and offers herbal hints and notes of green fruits.
Sepp Moser Riesling von den Terrassen BIODYNAMIC 2021 750ml
Laser-focused and mineral-loaded with ripe layers of sun-kissed citrus fruits, mango peel, and crunchy yellow/green apple on a bed of crushed white rock and honeysuckle. It’s unabashedly delicious yet complex and bone-dry; a quintessential snapshot of a storied terroir.
Want an authentic, elite bottling of Kremstal? This is it! Enjoy now and over the next 3-5 years. Winemaker Description.
Sequoia Grove Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2021 750ml
Winemaker Description
This Rutherford-dominated blend of Cabernet Sauvignon complemented by Bordeaux grape varieties offers aromas of blackberry cobbler, plum, and black currants, followed by warm hints of vanilla and caramelized black fruit. A concentrated, silky wine emphasizing varietal expression, richness and balance from start to finish.
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2021
Wine Enthusiast 93 Points | This velvety, opulent wine is rich in baked cherry and blackberry aromas, with dark chocolate and crème de cassis flavors. Layers of fruit and oak spices fill the palate, shaped gently by fine-grained tannins. Best from 2026–2034. (2021).
James Suckling 92 Points | Attractive aromas of ripe blackcurrants, dried cherries, walnuts, spiced cedar and licorice. Medium- to full-bodied, ripe and dark-fruited with velvety tannin structure and a spicy finish. Better after 2025. (2021).
Jeb Dunnuck 91 Points | A smoking value, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon has loads of up-front cassis and blackberry fruit to go with a layered, medium to full-bodied, juicy style that's already hard to resist. With some classic chocolate, spice, and leafy herb notes, ripe tannins, and a good finish, it's well worth seeking out. It will evolve for a solid 7-8 years or more. (2021).
Robert Parker 90 Points | While Sequoia Grove's regular Cabernet Sauvignon may rarely win awards, it's been a consistent, reliable performer over the years, and it nearly always represents a good value. The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon features hints of maple syrup, then bold black cherries and cassis. It's full-bodied and supple, easygoing but with enough concentration and structure to be more than just a quaffer. You could do a lot worse with a grilled ribeye, whether at home or at your local steakhouse. (2021).
Sequoia Grove Chardonnay NAPA 2022 750ml 91JS
94 Points Tasting Panel Sumptuous notes of peach and lemon meringue wrap around the palate. Inspired flavors of white chocolate, salted pine nut, and honeysuckle add to a creamy persona. Stunning.
91 Points James Suckling | A well-balanced Napa chardonnay, where oak does not intrude. Just a hint of creaminess to the lemony fruit with subtle spices. Fresh, elegant and smooth palate with medium to full body, showing a hint of oak phenolics at the end, which provide a nice grip.
Serra da Estrella DOP -- Quarter of 800g wheel (Portugal, ≈8oz)
The most unique cheese that we carry and one of the most unusual cheeses in the world, this Portuguese sheep cheese is coagulated with a thistle based rennet. What results is a cheese that starts out goopy and buttery and then in an abrupt change of direction, it finishes tart, lean and sour. Pair with your favorite Vouvray or New World Chardonnay.

Seven Deadly Zins Michael David Vineyards Zinfandel 2019 750ml
Winemaker Description
7 Deadly Zins Old Vine Zinfandel is full-bodied and seductive. Heaps of jammy berry fruit are followed by aromas of leather, oak and spice notes. On the palate the wine is round and layered showing flavors of dark fruits, currants and toffee through a lingering spice-touched finish.
Wine Enthusiast | A Zin classic that never goes out of style. Rich, jammy black fruits are backed by the elevated (15%) alcohol and plushy tannic structure and complemented by oaky vanilla and nutmeg. (2019).
Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five Stags Leap District 2021 750ml
More Cabernet-dominated, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five checks in as 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot, 2% Merlot, and a splash of Malbec. It has incredible purity in its cassis, graphite, lead pencil, and camphor on the nose and a concentrated, medium to full-bodied, layered style on the palate that stays tighter and more compact than the TD-9.
Wine Enthusiast | This sophisticated and concentrated wine wraps lovely dark plums, blueberries and cocoa flavors in velvety tannins that are well integrated and soothing, while still setting the wine up for a potentially long life. Subtle baking spices, espresso and cedar accents enhance the impressive fruit flavors.
James Suckling | Beautiful black and blue fruit on offer here with notes of violets, sea shell, iodine and graphite. Full-bodied, broad-shouldered and structured with super-fine and dense yet almost weightless tannins that push the depth of the wine, leading to a smooth, caressing finish.
Robert Parker | An excellent wine, still arguably a decent value in the context of Napa Valley Cab, Shafer's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five features attractive aromas of ripe cherries, cedar and vanilla, plus hints of mocha and loam. Full-bodied, ripe and velvety, it offers more concentration, tannins and length than the winery's TD-9. The question consumers will have to answer is whether it is worth the step up in price.
Jonathan Cristaldi writes: A wonderfully energetic Cabernet with a fragrant nose of dark berry fruit, mocha, and dusty minerals. Full-bodied with a satiny palate of Bing cherry, fleshy plums, and expressive graphite notes. Refined tannins have levity, and a soaring spine of acidity brightens the lengthy mineral finish. Grapes are sourced from the estate Hillside vineyard, their Borderline estate in the south of the Stags Leap District and a neighbouring site, along with grapes from a site in the Vaca Mountain range. Native yeast fermented, aged 20 months in 100% new French oak barrels. Winemaker Elias Fernandez says he tends to blend early. And with 40 harvests under his belt, he has a pretty good idea of what his blends will look like. Drinking 2024 to 2034. - Decanter 94
Samantha Cole-Johnson writes: Deep purple. Crushed gravel and rich black-cherry and dark-chocolate notes. Full and ripe with rounded tannins and sweet and spicy oak. Very glossy. Classic Napa. Drinking 2024 to 2036. - Jancis Robinson 16.5
Antonio Galloni writes: The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five is a very beautiful wine and also the first edition that marks the move towards a more serious Cabernet. Black cherry, plum, gravel, spice, leather and tobacco are nicely pushed forward. The 2021 shows the mid-weight style of the year nicely. The One Point Five is mostly estate fruit, with some outside vineyards, including sources that are now owned by Shafer. Drinking 2023 to 2031. - Vinous 94
James Molesworth writes: Frankly ripe, with a deep, alluring well of açaí berry, blackberry and boysenberry puree flavors that glide through on the polished structure. Pretty flashes of spices, sweet bay and violet skitter through for contrast. The finish is polished, generous and fruit-filled. Drink now through 2038. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. - Wine Spectator 94
One Point Five is Shafer's signature Cabernet Sauvignon, reflecting the timeless elegance of top Napa Valley vineyards. This wine honors the founding partnership of John and Doug Shafer, who said they'd worked together so long theirs wasn't a second-generation story but a generation and a half.
The long, sunny 2021 summer created idyllic growing season. The fruit developed rich color with clean, elegant, and pure aromas and flavors.
Shafer HILLSIDE SELECT Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 750ml
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is another magical vintage for this cuvée. All Cabernet Sauvignon from hillside vineyards on the eastern side of Stags Leap, it offers a vivid purple hue as well as extraordinary notes of cassis, black raspberries, violets, camphor, and spring flowers, with perfectly integrated background oak. Full-bodied but not massive, it’s flawlessly balanced on the palate and has ultra-fine tannins, a seamless, elegant mouthfeel, and a great, great finish. It’s another 30- to 40-year wine from this incredible team that readers will absolutely love. (2019).
Robert Parker | Sourced from specific blocks of estate-grown fruit, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is another highly successful vintage. All Cabernet Sauvignon aged 32 months in 100% new French oak, it boasts intense aromas of pencil shavings, dark loam, cassis and plum on the nose, while the palate is full-bodied, super-ripe, rich, dense and concentrated—a truly impressive California vin de garde. Tannic but ripe, it finishes long and firm on the finish, adding a hint of mocha. To be released in September 2023, it's a strong showing and hopefully an indication that quality will remain high under the new ownership. (2019).
James Suckling | A beautiful nose of pitted cherries, redcurrants, fresh herbs and violets. Full-bodied with fine, structured tannins. More gravelly, mineral and dark than the nose lets on. Savory almost. Terrific depth and concentration that keeps the palate flavorful through the generous finish. Chocolate, sage, rosemary, bark and moss. Layered. Superb wine. Needs time to come together. Best after 2024 and onward. (2019).
Vinous | The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is one of the most elegant wines I have tasted at Shafer. Effusive aromatics and silky tannins are immediately captivating. Crushed red/purplish berry fruit, mint, spice, lavender and licorice are all finely knit. We will see, but the 2019 may very well represent a new direction for Hillside Select, one of Napa Valley's most iconic Cabernets. (2019).
This broad, rich and mouthfilling wine is Shafer’s most elite and collectible. Aged for 32 months in all-new French oak barrels, it boasts extra-ripe blackberries and blueberries, accents of mint, cedar and graphite, and a big structure of polished tannins. (2019). Wine Enthusiast |
A ripe, exuberant style, with generous plum cake, blackberry compote and açaí berry notes mixed with melted black licorice and a nicely polished, singed mesquite–accented finish. Hard to resist now (if you like the power style), but also has the energy to take some cellaring. (2019). Wine Spectator|
Shaw & Smith Sauvignon Blanc Adelaide Hills 2023 750ml
Shaw + Smith Sauvignon Blanc shows a pink grapefruit character, concentration and mid-palate texture, which reflect the carefully selected sites and hand harvesting during the small window of perfect ripeness. Winemaker Description.
Erin Larkin writes: This is the benchmark for (tank fermented, pure) Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc. The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc has sweet green pea, green apple skins, juniper, rosemary, a hint of nashi pear and layers of jasmine tea and spice. This is, as usual, very fine and spicy, with purity and textural complexity side by side. Pear skin. Pretty. - Robert Parker Wine Advocate 93
James Suckling writes: Very fresh nose with a wide spectrum of aromas, ranging from forthrightly grassy and fresh-basil notes to gooseberry, grapefruit and passion fruit, this is a juicy and elegant Adelaide Hills sauvignon blanc. Long, racy finish. Drink now. Screw cap. - James Suckling 93
