The 2025 pours a bright straw yellow. The nose is clean and inviting — green apple, ripe pear, and a lift of fresh citrus. Under Louis Barruol, who took over in 1992, Saint Cosme has become a benchmark for the appellation. The 2025 Côtes du Rhône — 100% Syrah from the stony Villafranchian terraces of the Gard, with limestone sand, red clay, and pebbles — is fermented with natural yeasts and vinified in concrete vats, delivering a wine of remarkable purity, freshness, and character at an exceptional price.
