Brilliant ruby red color with garnet tints. The nose is sweet, predominantly fruity, with typical notes of morello cherry. Rich and pulpy in the mouth, flavorful and pleasantly harmonious, with silky tannins. The long finish is elegant and intensely fruity.

Particularly suitable for going with stuffed pasta, grilled dishes, spit- roasted pork, game and braised dishes, as well as a rich cheeseboard of mature and tangy cheeses.

Expert Reviews. - Prior Vintages 2021, 2020

Decanter 90 Points | Conero is a little-known DOC in the coastal province of Ancona in the Marche. This 100% Montepulciano wine – the principal grape of the denomination – is vinified in stainless steel then matured in a mix of large casks and used barriques for 18 months. Fresh and dried cherry notes mingle with floral overtones, followed by a round mouthful of spicy, crunchy red berries and plum supported by plentiful but integrated tannins and good acidity. (Vintage 2021).

Wine Enthusiast by Jeff Porter writes 89 Points | Aromas of spiced blackberry jam, black tea and roasted rosemary lift from the glass of this darkly hued wine. Structured with firm, yet balanced tannins, with flavors of black cherry, licorice, clove and cedar on the lingering and giving finish. (Vintage 2021).

James Suckling writes: A very savory nose with meaty and spicy character to the ripe, plummy fruit. Medium-bodied with sweet-and-sour freshness, fine-grained tannins and an intense, focused finish. Good length. Drinkable now, but will be even better after another year in bottle. Drink or hold. James Suckling 92. (Vintage 2020).

Alison Napjus writes Supple and elegant, this fresh red features fine-grained tannins seamlessly meshed with an appealing range of ripe black cherry, dried fig, thyme and violet, iron and smoke notes. Long, creamy finish. Drink now through 2028.;- Wine Spectator 90. (Vintage 2020).
