Aleks Zecevic of the Wine Enthusiast writes 89 Points | Very leesy but vibrant, this wine has apple candy accents and a prominent melon note that extends from start to finish. Sweet spice and white pepper linger on the moderately finish. 

Winemaker Description 

Juffer Sonnenuhr, a Grand Cru Site, comprised of blue Devonian slate with iron inclusions, and nearly due south exposition.  There are still some un-grafted vines with 70+ years of age. This vineyard is extremely steep (80%). Lieser’s holding are from the best parcels in the middle section or “fiilet piece” of the vineyard.
