Bodegas Salentein is based in the Uco Valley, in the heart of Mendoza. Its approach combines respect for nature and the local community with traditional European techniques and modern winemaking technology. The existing estate notes describe sandy and loamy soils, dry conditions, hot days and cool nights.

The winery sits at an elevation of approximately 1,200 meters and uses a cross-shaped design to shorten the movement of grapes and wine. Gravity transfer connects its fermentation and storage areas with the underground barrel cellar.

Tasting Notes

The winemaker describes an intense red color with purple hues, fresh red-fruit aromas, roses and violets, and balsamic notes. The palate is fruity and juicy, with good structure and a long finish.

Wine Spectator, 92 Points: Elegant and poised, with hints of citrus peel and sage framing the floral blueberry and Santa Rosa plum core, while traces of guava and fresh herbs fold in and drive the finish around fresh acidity.
